You seem to forget in episode 3 when Sidious tells Anakin the tragedy of darth plagues the wise, he tells him he could even create life, which would indicate he knew plagues has something to do with Anakin creation
The way he looked at Anakin while telling him is obvious. I think sidious thought Anakin is the created live. But he maybe didn't know, that the live created was something, disturbing and died, the force was corrupted by too many mediclorians. And it unloaded itself in the birth of Anakin. So that Anakin bought balance to the force by being born. This plaegius knew, but sidious not.
@@myVIDsization something else that you may have missed because it's a real blink and you miss it type deal, did you know that sidious didn't know about what Plagueis was trying to do, tocreate life because he was back on Coruscant? Fun little fact incase you missed it
Plagueis had it right. The Force created Anakin to strike back at the Sith, and he knew very well what that meant; what kind of danger Anakin really was to their plans. Sidious, on the other hand, was too arrogant and thought that, even if Anakin was actually this prophesied Chosen One of the Jedi, he could just simply bent him, turn him to the dark side and be done with it. In that regard, it didn't matter whether Sidious knew about the reason behind Anakin's birth. He believed himself so superior that he could manipulate and use Anakin, viewing him more as a tool than a threat despite Anakin having far more potential strength in the Force than even Sidious himself. At the end of the day, it all goes back to overconfidence being Sidious' weakness.
“The ball is red” “The red ball is red” “The red ball is ball-shaped, and can be described as red” “The ball-shaped red object was round like a ball, with a red coloration” Seriously man, you’ve GOT to work on your structure. You’re talking as though you think your audience is 6 years old and has to be spoon fed the same information every sentence. It’s insanely frustrating to listen to you trying to get to the point, but circling back for no reason at all.
I disagree because everyone interprets things differently... I'm in sales & you have to repeat things maybe 3x's to get the point across...Plus, you can stop, fast forward, rewind...etc whenever you want... I'm sorry, but this guy is on point with basic speaking...If you take a speech class, you'll understand...Plus, it helps him make more $$$...Lol
Also. Sidious did begin to fear Anakin. He wasn't going to "train" Vader despite him being his apprentice. He just sent him on places with the intention that he would learn. And learn he did. His reflexes, skills and powers grew and Sidious gave him less and less info. Because even if Anakin was at 60% that still would have been enough with more time.
According to the trainwreck that is episode 9, palpatine absorbed every sith lord before him upon killing his master, therefore he knew everything plagieus did. Damn you Disney.
Plagueis: It's time for your final lesson. Sidious: I'm ready, master! Plagueis: If you could kill me ( something that will NEVER happen ), you would absorb all of my power along with all my knowledge and experience just like i did to my master, my master to HIS master, e.t.c. This is what it's called " The Prize "! Sidious: By the way, what was your master's name? Plagueis: Connor McLoud AKA Darth Highlander. Trained by Sean Connery AKA Darth Ramirez.
Good video but too long and repetitive. You repeat your thesis 3 or 4 times. You could have just stated it once, and then given all your arguments witnin 5-6 minutes.
Plagueis had the right path in mind. The Force did birth the counter balance. I feel the power of the Dark Side blinded Plagueis. The power of the Dark keeps you on your toes.
I'd go even further and say that the Force didn't fight them when they tipped the scale because it was already happening, and the Chosen One was already destined to counter it.
James Luceno' Darth Plagueis is my favorite Star Wars novel - period! I've read the book, and continue to re-read it. What's more, I own the audio book, and it's a real treat. The voice actors did a wonderful job. Give it a listen if you haven't as. I can't get enough of anything Darth Plagueis!
Why do I feel like this entire video is saying the exact same thing like 20 times over. That, and that was the weirdest ending to a video I've ever seen. wtf did I just watch.
It's like writing assignments for school. You gotta do something to extend the amount of words in your essay to meet the minimum word requirement (10 min mark). The addition of lofi just helps to mush the viewers brains so most fail to pickup that he's repeating himself for the umpteenth time.
Did he repeat himself? Did he say the same thing more than once? Were there multiple times when he said the same thing in different points of the video? Did he repeat himself?
god damn you got repetitive .. it was like reading a high schoolers 5 page paper that was really only 3 pgs worth of material with a concluding statement which is just a recanting of what you said for the last 4 paragraphs already
Nice video, but OMG how much is it possible to repeat yourself - felt like i was watching a TV-shop commercial. Please go back and listen to your script and note down how many times you repeat yourself. I could not enjoy myself listenig to this because I got so hung up in all the repeats throughout the video. Take this as constructive critique, and hopfully dont do the same mistake in the future. I really liker the gist of the video.
Silly Sith, don't they realize that the Cosmic Force ALWAYS seeks balance? That's why a Sith can never be the most powerful and will be overcome each and every time they rule. They seek "unlimited power!" which is diametrically opposed to the very will of the Force itself.
Numinous well they did die during the battle of Endor, but the dark side just comes back, but not as the sith but different dark users liked Kylo ren and snoke
Agreed, FY: It's an endless dance. But I stand by my OP because Sith never cede power. They'd stay in power forever, if they could. To be even more specific, Dark Side users never cede power, so this applies to Snoke and Kylo too. It's endemic to the Dark Side. Lust for more and more power is quintessentially Dark-sided. Drakkath, not only CAN the Jedi be the most powerful, they HAVE to be, and the Cosmic Force ensures it when a Dark Side tyrant(s) arises. History has proven this over and over. Sorry, bud, but canon proves your claim patently false. The most powerful Dark Side users are always overthrown by the will of the Light Side of the Cosmic Force seeking to rebalance the Force en total. Your logic is faulty, Drakkath, because your premise is false, and here's why: Jedi don't WANT to be the most powerful. Nor are they in balance with the Force - they are Light Side users, not Grey Jedi or Je'daii. Further, they become the most powerful by the will and facilitation of the Cosmic Force. And once they overcome the Sith (or Dark Side) tyrant(s), they cede political control to those they serve. They are guardians and protectors. The Sith and Dark sided ilk are conquerers, and that's why the most powerful Sith are always eclipsed by an even more powerful Jedi. It's a cycle that's born out time and time again, and will continue ad infinitum. The cycle: A dark-side user rises to power, oppresses, maybe even having successors who continue the oppression for a very long time; a Light Side user overthrows them, and peace is restored. Rinse and repeat. Over and over. This means the Light Side will always be empowered more by the Cosmic Force in these times; it has to be this way to rebalance.
Numinous Wonderful response. My only complaint about it is I thought your original one already sufficiently explained your thoughts on it. The way you changed it make it seem as if you're talking down to me but that's probably just my past experiences coloring my view of it. Over your response is excellent and well thought out. I look forward to seeing your responses to future videos good sir
I remember reading about Palpatine's backstory a long time ago, which showed that Palpatine vaguely saw his future and his death, but it was unclear on 'when' it would happen, just 'how' it would happen, and that it was by the hand of his apprentice. I often wondered when Palpatine took on his first apprentice after killing his master Darth Plagueis. Much of the backstory makes me believe that he foreseen his own destiny, and instead of immediately taking on a apprentice (as most Sith do), he took every step to avoid his destiny by manipulating those within the Senate to move up through the ranks by means of the force. Jar Jar Binks is merely an example to this happening, which was later added to Palpatine's storyline through the prequels. Palpatine vaguely saw his future and did what he could to cheat his fate, only to overlook certain details (like the Ewoks) because he didn't consider those details to be any real threat. Otherwise, the first Death Star would've had tighter defenses, and the Empire would've hunted down all possible lifeforms on Endor that would've interfered with his grand plan. Palpatine overlooking those details led to his defeat. However, according to DARK EMPIRE (Dark Horse Comics 1992), Palpatine had at least some sense to consider he would fall to his own destiny, and took even further plans to assure he would survive, which was through being cloned. Palpatine was so powerful, that when he died 'physically', his force essence merely traveled to that clone body, and he took it over. Whether or not this will be seen in Rise Of Skywalker, or that he physically survived the destruction of the second Death Star, and was then found floating in space by those loyal to Palpatine's ideals, we will just have to wait and see.
Well if you have watched Episode 9 already you know the answer. If not : I wish you the most fun of finding out about a lot of open questions that comes naturally up until Episode 9😀😀😀 : -"Who the heck are Rey's Real parents?" -How did Palpatine survive really? What about Snoke, his quick Death in Episode 8 was a typical for the arrogance of a Sith that stepped very deep in to the dark side and get's clouded vision, thinking that he can't be defeated anymore nor betrayed. A typical trap of the dark side which betrayed so many force users, especially Sith. But still something was feeling not right. There must be a background with Snoke and what plans he really had with Ben Solo turning him into Kylo Ren. Every Star Wars fan has his own opinion of how he thinks of Episode 9, I found it really entertaining. 😀😀😀 By the way if you haven't played Star Wars Battlefront 2 ( game of 2017) you should try. I like the campaign very much, I'm sure you would enjoy it. 😀😀😀
Sidious was aware of The Force wanting to strike back at the Sith. It was implied in the Thrawn novel. Thrawn remarked about the futile attempts of beings to build fortresses around themselves. He pondered on why Palpatine would build a single planet killer over a larger fleet. He questioned why Palpatine was in such a rush to build it and embed himself within it. He hypothesized that the Death Star was his fortress. Only, he did not understand from what. The Death Star was his fortress from the Force.
If the Death Star was his fortress from the force...then he should have been there when it was blown up. He should have been hiding there. There should have been Yslamari creatures there shielding him. lol..."the death star was his fortress from the force" sounds so dumb. How can anyone hide from the force...as it is life itself
Like sidous said or thought " who ever controls a Skywalker controls the universe " thats why the Skywalker bloodline is so important which ever side their own dark or light wins, anakin and other Skywalkers control the fate of the universe, thats why sidous had a leash on Vader, and also thats why sidous was afraid of luke thats why sidous thought it was important to bring luke to the Sith he was terrified of luke he knew if luke stays as a jedi, the empire would lose
Wait wait wait........... so just to clarify plageuis was afraid that anikans birth was a backlash from the force because he tried to bend it to his will? I wonder if he ever told sidious about this🤔
STAR WARS: “The Dark Side of The Force”. That would be epic! Show us the complete history of the sith. I guess it depends on who the director is though.
i'd love to make or at least help make that a reality. Revan, Nihilus, Vader, Palps, Plagueis. - i'd love to make a movie on them all (history of the sith)
i think all of the sith lords were nothing more than mere transfers or darth bane after he discovered how to transfer his soul. anakin was created to house and be the most powerful of all the vessels that darth bane's soul could transfer into. plagueis had the same idea of immortality as darth bane. at first darth bane wanted the rule of two, but when he believed his apprentice to not be acceptable he began looking for a way to extend his life in order to train a new apprentice. when his apprentice did challenge him he did a soul transfer into her. i think this soul transfer kept happening throughout the sith rule of two history. that is why sidious was so powerful. he had all the previous knowledge of all the other dark lords throughout the rule of two. what started out as a carrying on of the knowledge passing from one to another became a seeking out of a stronger and better vessel to transfer the knowledge into another dark lord but still bane was ever present. anakin was to be the ultimate vessel, but it went terribly wrong. when darth vader killed the emperor that stopped the transfer of banes spirit. it is also why the jedi and the light side of the force comes back stronger as the main vessel that carried all of the dark sides knowledge was killed and the spirit that held that knowledge no longer exist. remember the force fled from plagueis. banes spirit transferred into palpatine when palpatine killed plagueis. in darth banes books it stated that banes spirit could be killed off if the new vessel was strong enough to fight bane/plagueis knew vader could push palpatine/bane out during the spirit transfer. but this is just my theory. to me disney has ruined star wars, i don't like the newer versions. solo's son reminds me of a whining child.
I can’t say how much I enjoy your videos, it clearly shows in your videos how much effort you put in them, I’m glad I came across your channel I just hope that more people come across it like I had. Keep up the good work (Its good to have you back)
Maybe the force allowed the dark side to over take the light in an attempt to bring a more stable balance later on rather than keep pushing back and forth as it always had
Can someone explain what the video meant when it said that "The Force fled from Plagueis"? Did Plagueis suddenly get weaker or lose his powers? Did he get crippled in the force? Or was it just that his experiment failed? The description sounds rather ominous...
One thing I wonder is since Plagueis was intact alive during the Phantom Menace, why did Sideous have Darth Maul as an apprentice? The sith rule is that there is always 2: master and apprentice. But in Episode 1, there were 3 since Sideous and Maul were present but Plagueis was also alive even if he didn’t appear in the film
@@abrahamlincoln7912 One's intelligence does nothing to add to their or make a person's personality distinctive or unique. Plagueis was methodical ruthless pragmatic and level headed. Palpatine on the other hand was sadistic maniacal and extremely charismatic.
But yet sidious referenced the fact that plagus "succeeded I'm creating new life using the force" as a manipulation to make anikan turn to the dark side
So many people are pushing for Palpatine to be Anakin's father, but I think that's the least creative thing they could do. Most anti-Disney fans are pushing for it just bc Palpatine had a "I am your father" moment in an EARLY draft of ROTS. Thank God George changed his mind.
This is the reason why Darth Sidious put Anakin into that big clumsy black suit and created Darth vader. He keep him in constant pain and control him; knew that he was more powerful than him. Of course technology could have made it so that, he could be without any pain and be able to be free and rejuvenate physically and spiritually to the light side. Sidious wanted to make sure that he kept control. So he let Vader be strong enough; for evil though pain. But never letting Anakin heal so that he could be strong in the light. So he could be free.
Ive always thought plaguis did create life threw the force and that was anakin.and that he paid a price for using the force and the fource abanded him because he did creat .life.anakin.if the force was fighting back against the sith anakin would have been only powerful in the light, instead anakin was able if not destined to become a sith.i do believe plaguis did pay a price.the dark side allways has a heavy price for using the dark side.we all have opinions.thanks for the vid
@Star Wars Reading Club How cognizant is the force? Darth treya believed the force wasn't blind like gravity but acted as a trickster god entity that played wars of "balance". She planned to end the force and died, mostly likely by some will of the force. Plaguis did what sith want to do with the force, that is not serve the will of the force but have the force serve their will. In response it not only ended him, but his order. What level of conscious does the force have? if the force is more conscious than other beings in the universe is it apathetic to most matters that doesn't directly threaten it in some form or fashion? I'm not talking about "plot armor". Any thoughts?
I wish we got to see Anakin use like, any sort of power whatsoever to show that hes the most powerful being ever born. Just seems like a throwaway fact the way hes portrayed. Also im not a deep starwars lore guy like some of you but after i saw last jedi personaly my belief is plageuis, sidious and snoke are all the same entity. I think he figured out how to jump from body to body , first into Sidious and then his plan was to inhabit Anakin, which backfired and now as Snoke hes trying to use the same strategy with Kylo, which apparently failed again
Max Roy the ability you are referring to is called “Essence Transfer”, an ability that was used by Sidious in Legends. When he was killed onboard the second Death Star, his spirit found its way to his secret throne world Byss, where many clone bodies slept in stasis. His spirit entered one of his clones and a younger adult Palpatine emerged. However the dark side (and external sabotage) aged his clone bodies at an alarming rate, so that within four years he appeared to have aged by at least six decades.
What I learned about the force is this. Knowledge means power, and the wiser you are, the more powerful you are in the power of the force, both dark and light.
Excellent video, thanks. Also thank you for making me want to find all the books (if multiple) before the Phantom Menace took place. I would love to see how it all began and who trained who... Etc.
Only been following for a couple of days...and while I’ve been enjoying it a lot, gotta agree with some other posts. We get it...Sidious had no knowledge of the creation attempt. Got it. Aaannnd...move on. Anyway, love browsing through and learning new stuff. Keep the repetition to a minimum and keep up the good work.
But Disney has confirmed that that wasn't meant to be literal. I haven't gotten to the comics yet, but apparently that same chapter features a duel between Obi Wan and Palpatine with both declaring "I am your father." Meaning, they are the two men in his life who had the most influence on his development. Most articles fail to mention that panel when proclaiming "ITS CONFIRMED!!!"
If Plagues was alive during ep 1 how was Sidius able to train Maul? I thought there could only be 2 Sith. Like Ventress wasn't a Darth because she wasn't a Sith.
Hadam10Rose, it was a special dispensation granted by Plagueis. When asking Plagueis' permission, Sidious was sure to insist that Maul would be trained only as a force sensitive assassin who would do the dirty work that they themselves preferred not to do because of the risk of discovery ( both Sidious and Plagueis had public personas they found necessary to protect). Also, Sidious never used the "Darth" title when speaking of Maul to Plagueis. Darth Plagueis was naturally suspicious about Sidious' proposal to train Maul, but ultimately decided that the Zebrak was a token of favor from the dark side.
So, 3 minutes material stretch to > 13 minutes. In short: Sidious didn't know about Plagueis failure to create forcefull beeing. Force flee from him and created Anakin.
Anakin WAS the Chosen One but the prophesy played out differently than anyone suspected. An "immaculate Conception" creates a Messiah and The Force (God) works in ways that can only be truly understood after events have been played out. BTW, shouldn't that be MITO chlorian, as in mitochondria?
Q: So what I heard from your channel is that Darth Plagues was still alive then young Anakin was presented to the Jedi counsel. Is there a novel that states when it is that Darth Sidious kills Darth Plagues? If so does it take place between Episode I and Episode II? Thanks for this valuable information regarding this topic. I heard so much about how Darth Plagues created Anakin but I had never known the details.
Star Wars: Darth Plagueis by James Luceno is the novel. Perhaps the best standalone book ever made in SW, but now sadly non-canon. However, Luceno did make some references to it in his canon novel Tarkin, so it still seems to hold at least some relevance. It starts years before the prequels and ends pretty much at the same time as TPM.
I really don't know the answer to this but if the Sith are always two..a master and a apprentice than how did Sidious train Darth Maul while Plagueis was his master...I don't think he would be able to hide such an undertaking from his force powered master. My guess is that Sidious killed him sometime after Anakin's birth and maybe a year or two before TPM in order to give him time to train Maul....unless Maul is a Mary Rey and is just born with complete force knowledge and training.
false it's the hero of tython... he destroyed the emperor vitiate a few times, saved and defeated revan, killed dark malgus, dark angral (who nearly exterminated all the jedi's), defeated arcann and vaylin (children of vitiate and skilled force users) and so on....
seriously. videos like this would be 1000% better if you guys would not feel the need to repeat yourselfes over and over again. the information you provided were, at best, 4 minutes. Bad storytelling. shame on you.
Ben Moak not truly, Anakin never fell to the dark side, but his evil other half (since he was the chosen one he had two sides constantly fighting) gained dominance through anger and hatred. In Vaders mind it was a constant fight between Anakin and Vader (light and dark) and in the end Anakin defeated Vader after seeing palpatine torture his son, and killed palpatine (Anakin is the strongest force sensitive being in the entirety of Star Wars, he was never immune to the dark side and by all means quite more vulnerable to the dark side and light side meaning he could switch between the two easily because he was the balanced one, and eventually completed his job and what he was meant to do which was destroying the sith that indirectly created him)
Anakin was always Anakin. Vader was the persona he hid behind and put the full blame on. He couldn't handle the guilt of what he had done. He embraced the name Vader and hid behind it, buried it. Convinced himself he died. That Anakin was destroyed. Really, he was cowering trying to save his own life since he had nothing else left. He convinced himself that the path of Vader, of apathy and numbness, was one of strength but really it was one of weakness from a lack of discipline and willpower. He would later come to this understanding when he chose to preserve Luke's life over his own. An act of love, generosity, and selflessness that no Sith would ever consider. "Someday I will be the most powerful Jedi ever. I will even learn to stop people from dying." Also, another thing to consider. The Clone Wars makes it abundantly clear in the Season 6 Finale that the Force's plan that was unknown to the Sith was to let Anakin fall to the Dark Side. To get in close with Sidious, who would let his guard down thinking he bested The Force by turning Skywalker, and it would use Anakin's son as the catalyst to bring him back. So that he would kill Sidious. Anakin, among the many other influencers in Luke's life, was a tool of The Force. It used to him to destroy Sidious in the most humble way possible. Not through a giant battle, or parry of the blades, but through a father's sacrifice to save the life of the son he loved. Something Sidious would never consider and likely scoff at the idea. Sidious had a fleet, an army, a Death Star, and the skewed power of the Dark Side of the Force. But none of that could protect him from a father's love for his son.
Battlefront Films Group No. you are dead wrong. Apparently you didn't listen to a single thing. Anakin WAS NOT "created" by Darth Plagueis or the Sith. Not even remotely. Anakin Skywalker was always destined to be from the beginning. How about you go watch the Mortis arc in TCW, The Father, as in the God of the force itself, Told Anakin exactly that. That he was always destined to be. Ancient Jedi literally had visions of Anakin thousands of years before Plagueis was ever even born. He had nothing to do with his birth. He's not some "creation", he's a natural being just like anyone else, a living human being. The ONLY thing Plagueis had anything to do with is just the time period that the prophecy would come to fruition. That is it. The Father, or the force itself, saw that the force had been thrown even more so out of balance than it already was, and the time had finally come to spawn the chosen one, and it was time for the prophecy to finally come to fruition. That is all Plagueis caused, the time period in which Anakin was born. NOT his birth itself. Not even remotely. It's really not hard to understand I do not get how so many ppl actually think he was "created" by some insignificant Sith Lord compared to the natural order of the force and the universe itself.... Anakin was always destined to be from the very beginning. The prophecy was NOT "misread" at all, The problem was that the Jedi were wrong. Not about the prophecy, but in their own ways, They had stopped following the will of the force directly and started to serve the senate and the republic more so than the force itself like they were always supposed to originally. Qui-Gon Jinn and Anakin Skywalker are the only 2 Jedi that actually followed the will of the force itself as they were supposed to, until Anakin fell to the darkness that is, But then in the end he did so again and destroyed the evil that had plagued the universe for millennia, the Sith, and finally fulfilled the prophecy once and for all like he was always destined to do. It had nothing to do with killing the Jedi and the Sith both, no that is not what balance is. It's not this equal parts light and dark bullshit. It's about life and death and the natural order of things . Everything running as it is supposed to, when the force is at peace and in harmony..... listen to Lucas talk about the chosen one himself. The prophecy was Never "misread" at all. The problem was the Jedi order themselves had become corrupted. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xgBpoiC8qGA.html
