I think the addition to Newcastle's ult is a necessity. Previously, putting it down anywhere except out in the open just gave enemies a grenade funnel.
I used to hate the L-star because it seemed hard to control in past seasons, so I'd swerve it, but I'm a bit of an appreciator now. I have to admit I'm a totally rubbish player, though.
Pretty sure the Newcastle headbutt is only a 3rd person thing - for some reason Newcastle got given all new third person melee animations - the shoulder barge, the "superhero punch" and the headbutt (Catalyst has some too where she melees with ferro fluid iirc)
Love that you play some of the less common legends, regardless of your 1000 kills on each challenge. Would love to see more Crypto, that was so fun to watch. Cheers from Alabama.
I used to really dislike the lstar, up until this season. I started using it more in mixed tape modes and really started to like it. I'd rate it a 7/10. It's still a bit weird feeling at times and normally I'll pick up a flatline instead but every once in a while now I'll grab one. For me it's below the flatline but better than the 301 and nemesis.
I was typing out LSTAR 7.5/10 when you asked and then we gave the same rating lol. very solid gun if they uptick the dmg but just the smallest bit it will be meta
9/10 on the L Star. I never really liked it but picked it up one day in Team Death match to try and complete one of my weekly challenges. Ended up owning with it. I miss alot of shots so being able to continuously fire in bursts without reloading is huge for me. It loses a point due to being an ugly looking gun in most skins
8.5/10, I’ve always been a regular L-STAR enjoyer, used to say “You don’t take Ls when you use the L-STAR” 😂 Gets points off for the iron sights & then…having 0 ammo on pick up (this has gotten me toasted more than once lol)
I feel called out because I'm less than 100 levels away from being max level but I also live in a rural area now so I'm outside so much more than before 🤣
Yeah it's mostly because literally any Fuse Or Maggie with at least 2 brain cells makes him utterly useless But now that they fixed that, you still have the issue of teammates. It's cute being able to get a full res off in someones face but it's still painful using him with randoms in pubs
Personally I think the shield throw being SO MUCH FASTER is insanely good. Newcastle's kit is ju-...did you just get your pokemon reference in my Apex content? Yeah, fuck Zubat. Showing up every two steps with Poison Sting and Supersonic. It's the terror of ten year olds everywhere.
I'm helping with the pick rate. Still not a single game with NewCastle. Not that I don't think he can be good/fun. I just decided to never play a game with him. no reason.
My L-star rating depends on how long the game has been going first 5 minutes l-star is a good 8/10 later game 5/10. But it's def in my top 4 lmgs in Apex
I suck with the L star but I also think you wouldve downed a lot more ppl that first game if it did more damage per bullet 6/10 ... prefer other ARs ad LMGs
L-Star is like a 5/10 for me Like I see its appeal, and maybe it’s just a skill issue on my part, but I always feel like I should hit more shots than I actually do, especially in close quarters gunfights where I believe this weapon should actually shine. If I land on it with enough ammo, I’m not complaining but after the drop I’ll switch it out against another weapon as soon as I get the chance. Short summary: L-Star is decent, but there are better, more reliable options for me at the moment.
