In this video, I share my reasons about why I choose Data Analytics Engineering over Management Information Systems. Please note that my reasons might not be the right ones, they are just the points that influenced me when I was deciding which masters program to go for.

When you say I don't enjoy coding I can totally understand. That's my scenario totally. Just hate the coding part. Been 20 days searching for curriculum and courses having min coding or at least easy one! For the past two weeks I have also been confused between engineering management and Data Science and MIS.

I've a 4 year Bachelor degree in Mathematics i want to do MS in Data science but how would i show proficiency in Basic Programming as pre-requisite for this course. Do University accept coursera/Great Lakes certificates or should i go to offline certificates?

Is DAE ideal option if a person is aiming for Data Scientist/ML Engineer role? Also, how does it compare to MS Data Science at Khoury?

Honestly , no Ms data science in khoury is better for that but it is not impossible to become a Data scientist, I have friends in DAE and IS who work as data scientists during their co-ops. So the courses you take are important. Also, the difference between MS DAE and MS DS is the faculty and the difficulty level. Exams are tough for Khoury students and the faculty is quite strict. But Khoury students land on a great co-op and full time opportunities

Will be able to get into management position from MSDA and MSDS? - as it comes under college of engineering and not school of business.

I don’t think the college matters, it’s the curriculum right , so if you take some courses from the business school and shape your curriculum accordingly you can get into Business Analytics.

@@akshadababar6067 True, but I did not find any business subject or co-op option in MSDS curriculum on NEU website. Is MSDS purely research based as there is only thesis option? I want practical curriculum and I want to be more on management side: like techno-functional - what do you recommend?
