When the machine village was burning, I don't know if you saw this but two of the dead robots had the pink/blue bowties on them. So the robots from the little sister side quest. =/

Note: no spoilers in this comment that touches beyond the content later in the game. you know i have been loving your playthrough. But i was surprised you didnt feel connected with the characters when 2b choked 9s or in C when 2b is stabbed by A2. I have seen many people cry at these parts and you didnt. But when you mentioned pascal was your favorite i was like oh boy shes in for it 😂 They will get you emotionally invested one way or the other. And I LOVE the fact you contemplated that decision for so long. Never seen someone contemplate more than 5 minutes, but also how you said that you felt like it was You and not A2 making this decision. You are spot on 100% this is EXACTLY how the devs wanted you to feel. A connection that goes just beyond a character on a screen, but someone that you feel so emotionally invested in that when they ask the player to make decisions like that, its not just the character you control as the player making them, but YOU. This was the goal of the game, to emit an emotional response and connection to their game within the player. Fascinating that you said that. Anyway. Cant wait for more! 😊

Incoming unexpected wall of text LOL I wish I had more of a connection with both 9S & 2B because I really liked them as characters, but I think I find myself getting attached to characters the most when I'm able to truly connect with them emotionally. Unfortunately I don't think I had as strong of a connection with 9S and 2B because of the nature of how they are as characters (which is totally ok btw!) - 2B being very stand-off, to the book & colder (for understandable reasons now that the game is over) and 9S, while I definitely enjoyed his curiosity & boyish charm, I didn't quite connect with him on an emotional level until later on in the game. Both characters were missing elements for me to really empathize with in order to grow a deep emotional attachment that would get me to cry in those specific scenes you mentioned, and especially at that point in time (for me) in the game. Both scenes were definitely heartbreaking, and I could feel that they were sad moments, but I guess not enough to make me cry like I did with Pascal haha. However, I think I would have definitely had a different reaction had I known what we know by the end of all main endings, and the weight of what 2B was feeling in the moment where she has to choke 9S, but because I lacked the extra info, I wasn't able to feel that emotional connection. And Pascal is just a sweetheart and such a loveable character that shows so much personality and care from the get go, so it was really easy for me to get attached hahaha. ANYWAY, thanks for reading & hope that makes sense!

@@lunitygaming Thank you for the lengthy reply given the sea of comments on this video! Yes it makes sense. Its interesting though because when those moments happened for me I felt a very strong connection to 2b and cried for her. But the pascal choice is brutal. Cried there too even though I didn't feel as much for pascal as you, I can relate to losing children, and then being forced to decide what to do with that fact. Its just so well written to get emotions flowing.. i feel like there is no way you will get through Replicant in the short time left before elden ring.. but when you play I can't wait to see your reactions to that game also... thanks again. Have a good week 🙂

There is a sad Nier and the Sadder Nier game. Neither games has a good ending. However Automata have concert served as sequel, but in terms of the game ending itself its depress AF

Sheeeeeeeeesh what an episode. 10:46 Everybody always talks about the "2B or not 2B" meme but it seems like a lot fewer people make the "A2, Brute?" reference for the betrayer of YoRHa... 28:07 The Auto Heal debate keeps coming up but still no one has mentioned that *Auto Heal* is regen after 6 sec of not taking damage vs. *Auto Use Item* that heals you with recovery items when your health gets low. Maybe other RU-vid comments pointed it out, but chat is driving me nuts about it LMAO 52:40 This is a good question that 9S' intel about the black boxes seems to answer... 54:57 Oh! I don't remember this dialogue. I was probably only visiting Masamune for weapons by this point. How cool! 1:01:20 dflskalkjsfdlkjsdf LMFAOOOOOOOOOoooooooooo perfect comic relief to break the tension LOL That was some extreme agonizing over Pascal's memories. I did watch the whole thing. 😭🫂💔

Before fighting the dual buzz saws in the prologue, 9S states that the long bridge 2B is walking along leads to another factory. The machines that attack Pascal and A2 most likely hail from there.

Actually, that would've been the best option to leave him. It would've been painful, but he would've learned from that experience. Killing him was out of the question, and erasing his memories to make him view his dead friends as 'junk' is far, far worse. Not to mention he's likely to make that mistake again since he didn't learn from. It

@@shadowthehedgehog181 Pascal is a friend, he is in a ridiculous amount of pain and is asking you to do him a favor, why would you deny it and leave him there to suffer? Sounds terrible to me. Erasing his memories is canon, and he becomes a highly inteligent trader again in the future if you look at the official timeline. If you leave him there, he's never seen again.
