I'll be completely honest, I forgot that story even existed, so going in based on the thumbnail, I thought it was going to be the inspiration for "Cab Over Wheels" lol. Even still, quite the interesting tale, and it just goes to show how disruptive even the smallest animals are to railways.
Rabbits are my favorite animals. But I never would have thought a story from "Thomas and the Fat Controller's Engines" would be that inspired from such an event like that. Looks like Bugs Bunny got the better of Thomas after all.
0:00 - 0:10 I remember, when I volunteered at the Talyllyn Railway as a trainee guard, riding in the guard's van on the way back to Tywyn Wharf and I saw with some others that some sheep and rabbits from time to time would scamper across the tracks before we came close, our train even stopped so the train crew could shoo off the sheep and put them back in the pen before we continued. These things happen but we learn to be patient, I know that as I was totally patient with things like it
