Happy for you guys ❤️ some bad situations have a way of just propelling us to greater heights. I’m in the UK a year now, leaving SA to join hubby, leaving my place of comfort and all, into this new adventure. Best decision of my life, grateful to God for it all. Enjoy every moment 😇🙌🏻👏🙏

You guys are great, but please each individual in a marriage has to focus on empowering each other, but importantly propell self first. Now bank those Pounds, they will allow you never to depend on 9-5. If anything love that quote "made me cry". Now I will be returning home soon.

Hi Ongie, So sorry you can relate to a toxic work environment. It really shouldn’t be the case, but ey we live in the world. As for finding UK opportunities, I would suggest having a LinkedIn profile as a lot of recruiters like Blue Recruiting, Gap Talent, etc are there. Reach out and let them know you’re in the market.

Hey bro, thank you for the feedback. We're happy to learn that our story has the capacity to influence other people's lives. We're in this journey ourselves, and we're keen to share what we learn ourselves. I think it is a good thing to be contemplating this. The UK does have a huge demand for people in that profession. For you though, it might be a bit challenging to find a permanent job this side. It's a very common theme that we've heard and also experiencing, but there are people who do find permanent jobs they want even though they are on a dependent visa. It is just not as common as the former. But hey, give it some thought. We have shared quite a bit on the pros and cons of it. Discuss it with your family and if you do wish to get in touch to find out other things we might not have given detail on in the videos then let us know. We're always here to help

Emigration is generally not easy... In my humble opinion, sometimes things are best left alone.. The grass isn't always greener on the other side of the fence..

Totally agree with you about the grass not always greener on the other side. Having said that, we were just sharing what we have come across in our experience. It's not perfect, granted, but for us, it has been a little greener. Of course, that is not always the case with other people . But we are unable to account for that.

And, I'm getting ready to make my final move to SA in about a year.. I intend to spend my last couple of decades in the most beautiful country in the world...

It depends on where you work. Some audit firms can have a very work environment where others are a little more balanced

You're so fortunate. I can't get into UK to join my only child and his family. I'm 75 and a widow and totally alone in SA with no family. I'm not rich but my son could look after me but UK rules won't allow it. Guess I'm doomed to die alone. This world stinks

Hey 😞 this made me so sad. Surely there is a way for you to be granted residency as a dependent of your son...? Advise him to look further into that. I wish I knew someone I could ask about this. Perhaps someone who knows about this kinda stuff can also see this comment and advise.

I understand that can happen and we sympathise with those that have experienced it, but we’ve been here for over a year and a half and that has not been our story. Everyone’s experience can be different.
