Where is Tim? That was the question going through diving instructor Cameron’s head in the cold, dark, water filled quarry during a safety stop. He was surrounded by his class of 6 students, now 5, nervously looping around them searching for any signs of Tim. This wasn’t surprising for this student. The star student of the diving course was known for disregarding safety guidelines and procedures. The 3 minutes at the safety stop were up and Cameron swam back to the group and gave the hand signals directing the group to ascend. Tim must have skipped the safety stop. Yet, on the surface of the water filled quarry Cam’s head count comes up 1 short. He scans the beach and the surrounding area. Nothing. Panic. Herding the other five students to the beach, he fears the worst and dives back down into the cold, murky water.
