I love how a space game with low speed limits refreshingly portrays the fact that a small hull breach does not lead to an explosive decompression or the very fast loss of atmosphere.

As a connoisseur of terrible sci-fi films, the parallels of this to Space Truckers is amazing and horrifying. Perhaps the square pigs shouldn't make it into the game

Nice video, thanks! Was just watching the Dev Q&A and saw where your gravity battery is. No, you're certainly not blind, no wonder you were unable to locate it. When you get up from your seat, walk straight down the small set of stairs. Then turn around and interact with the stairs to open them. Behind them is your gravity module where you can replace the battery. You're the first person I've see showcase this demo, looks interesting and looking forward to it coming soon.

More? Yes, I hope so! Getting a combination of Snowrunner and Hardspace: Shipbreaker vibes, with a flair of Big Mutha Truckers for some extra spice... I just hope they don't go over the top to Breathedge levels, but who knows what's in the full version when it comes? Are there enough interest to warrant a full series?

I love space sims, and cant play ATS because I'm a trucker IRL and that seems like a terrible way to relax after work, but this looks like it would be a lot of fun if it has an Elite Dangerous style flight model and assist toggle with dual stick controls, especially if VR is an option.

I have 2k hours across ATS and ETS2. I def recommend getting into those games as a relaxing simulator.

So cool. I have a bit of a hard time imagining what happens after _every_ delivery goes haywire and you've interacted with all of those emergency systems, but maybe it can just be a cool space game with a focus on deliveries and a lot of good flavor. As I type this I realized that actually recovery could be a lot of fun. Like picking up stranded ships, or cargo lost in weird places... Im in, I like it. Seems pretty relaxing, and I already want to collect new hood ornaments and stuff lol.

I enjoyed it and can see how others would enjoy the relaxing vibe of just enjoying the journey while going from place to place. Would be quite cool in VR! Could also see it being fun as a 2 player space trucker mini-game where the interactions (fixing/fueling etc) are bumped up and one member has to keep driving while communicating with the surroundings (giving credentials that you're allowed in that quadrin/befriending fellow truckers) while the other does repairs/fuels/keeps things in order, Cooking Mama style.

I love how Reto's first idea for this game is "How do I kill a man". Those roguelike instincts kicking in and spawning in the Grand Crash Derby mode they're gonna add, surely.

There was a good SF trilogy (books) from the 70s or so. Paradox Alley was one of the books. Not sure if the gameplay matches, but the feeling does.

It'd be funny if the accidents in the game were treated more seriously and you'd get sent to court and get yelled at by a guy with Ambassador Udina's voice saying that "you have committed a serious crime and that hitting somebody in space is not like on Earth! You have caused a hull breach. You could've killed someone! You've damaged equipment worth millions of dollars and nearly had a person's lungs physically sucked out by a rapid de-pressurisation."

You're not blind 😂. I just spent 1 hr looking for it. I actually even went outside to check it. Eventually, I found it 😂. Definitely need improvement in guiding the user.

i think they should make a game where you can play el classico in space, where mickey mouse leads barca and koby briant leads real, and goals should be 2 big black ... holes, and madona should sing a concert in the backround with all the people and fans and everything, and than spiderman suddenly appears, and than you catch the fish in the lake and that is the actual point of the game... isn't it great idea folks?

So I found the grav generator. you have to life the lower stairs and the cell is underneath.... took me way too long

I love ETS2 and Star Citizen, so I definitely want this!!! And after watching you play, it feels like Subnautica in space... But I do hope they add more game mechanics like ETS2 where you bid on cargo, and have to deliver to a variety of cargo ports (some more difficult than others), and get endorsements on your space-CDL like hazmat, and get to buy newer and nicer space-trucks!

Seen one of these spaceborne semis in _Space Station 76_ “Where Asteroids and Personalities Collide.” It’s a movie starring Matt Bomer (Neal Caffrey), Jerry McConnell, Liv Tyler, and a bunch of other people. It’s about life on a smallish space station (about 30-50 inhabitants, artificial gravity, arboretum, sun beds, and robo-psych), set in the YEAR TWO THOUSANNNNNND! (as filtered through the lens of 1976). It’s a fun little underrated movie, mostly about sex, frustration, and references to old sci-fi, and the little girl in it went on to a tv role in _The Whispers_ (June-October 2018).

Obviously, the developers of this game watched Space Truckers in their youth. I remember watching John Canyon (Dennis Hopper's character) driving a Pachyderm 3000 backwards into Earth's atmosphere to destroy a load of killer robots.

Starrigger (1983) by John DeChancie is a good scifi book trilogy. Its about a truckdriver driving a huge rig on interplanetary highways connected by warpgates that was built by aliens and discovered I think on the moon.

That's weird cuz there is a later demo I just saw where it says that it doesn't end until you rank up three times, and you go to that one location to pick up jobs. I don't need to try it out tonight and see for myself, but I did just recently see something that someone uploaded about this game and they were showing their gameplay footage and they did that and I saw it right on the screen where it says it doesn't end until you rank up three times. The Palms Hotel thing that you're supposed to go to that's actually where you go to get your contracts to pick up other loads to travel through the gate to other distance locations. And the promo demo ends after you rank up three times.
