Why Do People HATE Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu & Let's Go Eevee? 

I just recently got this game, and almost everyone that I watched talking about it said it was basically Pokemon yellow remake, I love OG Pokemon but the fact that you can't use a pro controller pissed me off. You can't battle Pokemon to grind levels, and that they use the Pokemon go gimmicky catching system just really ruined the experience for me. I just really wanted some OG Pokemon on the switch. Hopefully Scarlett/Violet are better.

i know it's a remake of yellow but i really struggled with pikachu as a starter to the point i had to transfer my squirtle from other games. I also hated the "requirements" needed for each gym, I like speeding through a game ratehr than grinding and when I need to catch 50 pokemon before I can battle the gym leader... nah.

Yo I was so excited when the games were first announced, I didn't have a switch by that time, but now I do and let's go pikachu is my first switch game, it is so awesome

I know that this old but I don’t like how all the Pokémon share exp from battles and catching other Pokémon, people claim it’s let’s go 2 because the only real way to level up outside of gym battles and trainer battles is to catch wild Pokémon...honestly I prefer the old mechanics...

My brother and I are going to buy Pikachu and Eevee, respectively, and I've seen a lot of hate on them, so I decided to search it up, and this came up! This has made me decide that it is the game for me, and me and my future Eevee friend thank you.

I wonder what people would think about the game nowadays. A lot of the stuff they dislike about LGPE was the same in SwSh (exp share is always on, no national dex, etc) and some of the stuff people liked about SwSh actually came from LGPE first (PC anywhere, follow Pokemon, etc). I mean, people would complain that SwSh is too linear, and the game is too handholdy with tutorials and unskippable dialogue, when LGPE is very open during the midgame (just like the original Kanto games) and doesn't have any forced tutorial sections. Personally, I had a TON more fun replaying Kanto in LGPE, than experiencing Galar in SwSh.

Just got the game found out I can’t use home and now I hate it

People hate it, including myself, because it’s YET ANOTHER KANTO REMAKE. Think about it, we’ve had 10 games that have the kanto region in it

Lets go deserves to be its own spin off series. Without lets go pokemon on the console would of died

It's easy to say a game is bad if you've never played it, especially if it's Pokemon. In the case specifically because it removed so many mechanics people loved and it's easily the easiest game they have ever made and that's saying something.otherwise your points in general are pretty bad as well, people not having a switch was not a big factor. I'm surprised how wrong you were on this one honestly, the games were just garbage for a myriad of reasons and that's a fact. Sword and shield were the true first switch Pokemon games and you won't convince many people otherwise...

I feel like these games were just a test of what they could do on the switch. Next years pokemon will definitely be more intense and fun (lets go is fun too)

I was way late to the party, I don't think they're great but I really enjoyed it. It's a fun little game, gave my Pikachu a Team Rocket uniform, she's adorable and she's a killer. I'll gladly take a Gen 2 sequel

I honestly don't get the hate on it. I didn't get it because I felt like I was done after Ultra Sun and Moon. I never planned on getting a Switch originally. I've played almost everyone Pokemon game that came out. The Yellow Pikachu edition was my first when I was a kid. I finally got Let's Go Pikachu yesterday, and I've not stopped playing it. I love the emphasis on catching wild pokemon and not battling them. I mean, lol, who didn't run around catching practically every pokemon they came across when they were a kid? Sure, it's basic, but that's what I love about it. The original first gen was basic.

Natures exist in let’s go, the thing is you need the perfect nature and the right IV’s or the right characteristic on the Pokémon in the let’s go games.

You seem to ignore how the modern game industry works, thus you don't comprehend the hate, I will break it down for you as follows: #1 Pokemon Let's Go is a clear cash grab to lure in the more casual audience, and to test the waters to see if the fans would buy into this sort of thing. #2 There is such a thing as a "cost of opportunity" if Gamefreak is focusing efforts on this then they are neglecting some part of their upcoming "traditional" mainline series. #3 The mere fact that they decided to dumb down the game this far is quite scary to most old players, and the trend of hand-holding and dumbing down the game is bad in general. #4 Motion controls suck. #5 Limiting the Pokedex is a huge negative precedent.-----I could go on listing reasons but the bottom line is this: they are setting a bad precedent and if it makes enough money it will be here to stay, and at some point may become too troublesome to make the classic games and we get stuck with this garbage. End of Rant. XD

You can call a game bad somewhat accurate based off what you see and doing some research, I hated Mario Odyssey when I watched multiple gameplays bits about it and listening to what others said. I bought it and played it all the way through and hated the game way more. For Let's go, a friend let me play it and the only decent thing is the graphics. I won't even consider buying this for myself until it gets a MAJOR prices drop.

I bought and played Let's Go: Eevee. I got bored of the game after a day, but I played for a week, hoping I'd come to like it. Never did. Haven't finished the game because I just got tired of trying to like it, and I know I never will finish it. I was excited about the games beforr release. Now, I wish I hadn't spent the money. Wasn't worth it for me.

You cant battle wild pokemon!

I've played this game and I hate it. It feels like a watered down version of Fire Red.

I definitely like this natural dialect more than scripted, however, I did notice some things that you'd want to look out for next time. I do it myself, so it's not a negative thing by any means, but some point in the middle you begin to repeat yourself by saying the same thing in different ways. I can see how having a script would avoid that mess, but you get better with it over time. As for the topic at hand, I definitely love the game for what it is. I stopped watching trailers, looking at info, etc around summer to keep myself from being so invested in what Let's Go was, solely for the fact that I'd be able to enjoy the game even more. A lot of people who are complaining, even after watching/playing the game is because they didn't do that. They hunted for all the info, followed every leak, got hype/disappointed about any and everything, then when the game finally got here, they weren't pleased. This is why I've been saying since SuMo that Nintendo has been giving us way too much information about the games before release. Build the hype, let it saturate, release the game. We can explore and be "Wow'd" by so many more things if they just let that happen.

Here's something I want if they make more let's go games. I want them to have an underrated Pokemon as well as a more popular Pokemon. Like, say Marill, 'cause it's known for being "Pikablu" and it's well known, and Qwilfish, a really, really underrated Pokemon who's only underrated 'cause it's basically non-existent in any region. Another combo I'd love is like Marill and Slugma, 'cause Slugma, even in HG/SS where you can get it before the first badge, it's still absurd the method to get it (You have to basically look up the correct phrase online to find the right phrase to tell the guy to get the Slugma Egg), and Slugma has really only been usable in one gen, that being the Hoenn games. Corsola would also be really fun too, and I think most people find Corsola cute, so it'd be good for advertisements, and it shares the Qwilfish problem. It's another Pokemon with a 3% encounter rate, and with Corsola, not even at night (Although it is in Hoenn, unlike Qwilfish).

Literally just remake pokemon fire red. Don't change anything other than the way it looks( modernised 3d) add online capabilities. And there you have it. Best pokemon game ever. Try to imagine pokemon fire red completely re done for switch. I don't need to play this to know its shit. Its shit. All they had to do was make pokemon red look like a new game. Didn't have to add all the stupid shit they added didn't need to remove anything! . Until they go back to their roots and make a game from them roots for me I've to be honest and say dead game. I'll take an old GBA birds eye view 2d legend of a game over these "new" pokemon games any day.

I just don’t like eevee. And I guess I don’t like the fact that you can only talk to the other Pokémon that can follow you and not pet them like you can with pikachu or that attention goblin eevee

so I know this video is 3 years old, but for me I dont like the games because of the Pokemon go mechanics (catching pokemon mainly) works on a smartphone, not on a home console. Id also argue that the console games are better than go in a lot of ways, so while Go works on a smartphone it may not be great to imulate that in a console game. I also dont like the simplification of things as you have said. While yes its changes, id just argue that maybe those changes arent for the better. Simplifying a game while it can work on smart phones (again) it doesnt work in a game where you are charging 60 bucks for. When you are charging 20 dollars more than previous games in the series, I want more content not less. I also think it was a misstep to put this out before sword and shield, just because of how sword and shield are just better main stream games, so these games were the closest thing to main titles on the switch for basically a whole year. My issue with lets go is much less with lets go itself too and rather Pokemon Company and gamefreaks steps with Pokemon over the last several years now. Lets go games are okay, I dont think they are awful, but with the same amount of work to release this game, they could have also just remade red and blue, and improved upon the formula with it. I can go on a tangent about every misstep up to current day, I think you know most of those gripes, and while you may understand them, (I personally dont like the constant adding changing and removing of features for example, when one game does something thats amazing you should probably keep that thing, not get rid of it 2 games later. Such as mega evolutions, the underground, etc. I also think SwSh were a bit rushed, and Pokemon Home just isnt good. just to name a few) I think the impacts on whether these games are good or not, I had lets go pikachu, got rid of it, debating on trying to get another copy. Unsure atm.

One thing I hate the most is that they make decisions which only serve to make the game less fun, either out of naivety or because they were flat out being lazy, like in LGP/E not letting you evolve your starter, or limiting the Pokedex to only Gen 1 Pokemon, not even including the evolutions to Pokemon already there, which literally would have done nothing but give players more options and make the games more fun, but no I guess we can't have that for God knows what reason. The games are fine, and hell are even fun at times, but Game Freak just isn't trying to make games for the fans anymore, they're making games to make money which means catering to general audiences who grew up with the old games and kids, which is fine I guess but it sucks especially when you can really tell with the final product. I just wish they'd atleast give us more skilled fans options like a hard mode or something that lets us play how we actually want to and get the full amount of enjoyment I know is possible from these games, I guess I'll just have to wait 20 years for someone to make a hack for these new games that fixes the bs that's there literally only to hold it back, like seriously I'm not mad, I just don't understand why Gamefreak does this, I can get past the arbitrary-ness of splitting the games up into two to sell more copies, but they've simply gone too far with these straight up dumb choices, I just hope they do something about it before the fans decide to hit them where it hurts and simply stop buying the games, cuz it'll happen eventually even if it takes 20 years of lackluster releases before they stop selling millions

In my opinion the game isnt that bad, i didnt like the removal of wild battles as well as the specifications to go into a gym but as long as it isnt pokemon lets go ___ one year then original pokemon the next im totally fine with the game going alongside the normal games.

Why do people hate cod 4 remastered? It's a remake of a game that's just lesser than the prior release. They added lootboxes while the original game did not have this. Theres no wonder people hate this, it doesnt even come with the dlc, and it was initially only released if you bought infinite warfare. Other than visual updates, remastered is far lesser. My point here is that lets go is just a lesser frlg People say past pokemon games are grindy, yet the postgame in lets go is the grindiest thing in the series. They removed wild battles, an aspect of the series that is beloved. I haven't played let's go. And i will never play let's go. I hate the practice of lesser remaking, and this just is that. 60 dollars for less content than frlg? No thank you. Atleast thats my thought process. No way for me to know how others that dislike it think.

I hated Pokémon go. And everything I actually enjoyed in the series just got remembered in this new version, so why should I waste my hard earn money on a Pokémon go 2?

I played these for 40 hours..that much of time explained how much i loved this game..its little bit underrated

Controls in general are garbage. Gameboy had way better controls, you could use both hands to play. This guy just said this game has a story? Hahaha that’s hilarious
