welcome to the average gaming community. if you do anything that is well within what is allowable unless you choose to lop off your own arms and do things with your teeth then you're nothing more than a basic scrub that doesnt deserve to be doing said hobby/playing said game.
tf you mena feeding the fish? you do uneccesarry harm to a live animal whilst fish dont have big eyees and cute fur they still are to be managed in a respectfull manner
@@tavish4699 Its almost like the fish that go after the bait are predators and would have eaten something like that anyways. Maybe do some research on something before you talk about it instead of be so ignorant.
@@tavish4699 The bait fish are going to get eaten in the next day anyway most likely they are prey for the bigger fish god put them on this earth for a reason and we arnt abusing the fish or anything like that they keep it in a air raided bucket so they will live and not suffer.
It's actually really fun noodling cactus if you don't get bit by a snake aren't scared of putting your hands in holes you can't see or Geting bit by an alligator gar
I met a fly fisherman today at sportsmans warehouse that was gearing up to try "regular" fishing after talking for a few minutes and helping him pick some gear, he asked me what is the best way to fish. My answer was whatever is the best way that works for you. There is more than one way to catch fish. At my local lake, sometimes the trout bite on power eggs, sometimes on worms, and sometimes on roostertail spinners. Saying bait is cheating is only limiting yourself to not get bites on days that they just wont bite on artificial gear.
I'm a Veterinary Nurse. Doc would say that 90% of his problems came from 10% of his clientele. So, eliminate the 10% of boneheads; and, your problems will disappear. 🤭
A little reminder, no matter how kind you are, there's always people that will hate you and my best advice is to not let them get in your head or bring your mood down
There is nothing kind about what he does. I just don't get the point of torturing a fish by dragging it across and out of the water with a bloody hook in its mouth and not even eating it. And then doing it again and again. Just eat the damn thing. If you wanna enjoy a sport go play football or something. Don't torture fish for entertainment.
Why? You need to hear both. Some of those hate comments could be right (unlikely he's a professional but still). You want people to just clap and cheer your name. You must balance between the two
Exactly sometimes artificial is getting slammed other times my lures won’t get touched but most of the time a piece of meat is gonna get hit. The thing is like many other sports and hobbies it’s not just about the hobby anymore. People use to fish to catch fish, now it’s about how you catch the fish, what you use to catch the fish, where you catch the fish, and all the other long list of bs. You can’t have a hobby anymore and expect to enjoy it with the public because there are dorks in every hobby that are to up their own @ss about things calling everyone out for shit that isn’t even wrong objectively.
@@sheogorath2657 True. When my cousins and I were young and fishing our tackle boxes were mostly just hooks, bobbers, and weights. We would go out in the yard at night and flip over some logs along the woodline and grab some nightcrawlers for the next day, or we would just grab whatever we could find at the pond we were fishing at just digging around in the leaves.
Only way to fish for flathead is noodling 😉 lol jk I don't understand the haters either also I understand that bait is very important for my flathead fishing as well
I catch em on jigs never caught one on bait LoL, I always catch Channels on em but Flathead aren't very common in my Lake but my buddy caught a 28lber on a Crappie lure 😂.
I like to use a little bit of my foreskin after a night with a gal who just started on the rag and worked a twelve hour shift in the heat. The smell really gets the fish going.
@@ethanhill7529 sounds awesome! I’ve never actually gone fishing there which makes me a disappointment of a Minnesotan I guess but I’m hoping to do something like that this summer. Is it good fishing?
@@morganvikings_ im moving from pa to Minnesota this week. Ill be 5 minutes from the Mississippi so I'll be out there bottom fishing as well next week.
My grandfather had a story he always said about unhappy people 4 men walk down the road they see a rock 2 of them wanna kick it and have fun 1 walks onward without a care the 4th bitches and moans at the other 2 for holding up the walk and sat down so 30 minutes went by and the 2 men finished playing and saw the 4th man had fallen asleep so they left him behind and finished the walk.
I used to think that way, and then I grew up. My last rod and reel combo only cost me £15, I used it for years and caught hundreds of fish with it, my Son uses it now, 🎣
Ive always loved the fishing community, most people are very quick to share there favorite tips and tricks with anyone who wants to listen, made it very easy to get into for me
I went from fishing everything south of the Saltwater line in Louisiana and having tons of success to living further north in the state. Freshwater fishing is a different beast. I got super disheartened. You can get past the hump, man. Don't give up.
When I first moved to a new state I wasn't having any luck until I tried the fish angler app and it has data on moon phases and all kinds of stuff and when it says there's activity I get lots of bites. Different kinds of fish it seems like theyre all feeding. Very surprising actually. I just fish to be outside and see what happens I'm not serious about it at all. It's worth a try if you're just starting out or having no luck.
I use artificial 90% of the time but then there's time when the fish just aint biting that's when I pull out the live bait And like you said hands down is almost always better than artificial
In my mind its cheating, unless you're harvesting your catch (crappie, trout). If you're sport fishing with live bait It's cheap, which is why tournaments don't allow it usually.
@@andrewboyce7268 i fish for almost only catfish (blue, channel, flathead) and frankly have no idea what this mindset is about. Have you ever caught a catfish on a lure? Because I dont know anyone who uses artificial for them except in europe for wels catfish(because they will hit top water lures). For catfish its bait or nothing.
@@andrewboyce7268 why the hell would it be cheating? if you wanna catch fish you use the best bait you got and 90% of the time it's gonna be live bait
For me it’s the opposite. I always do way better on lures than baits. Unless I’m ice fishing, targeting carp/catfish or float fishing with live minnows, I always use lures I don’t think using baits are considered cheating imo
Fishing is fishing. Just because someone fishes differently than you doesn't make it wrong. There is nothing wrong with using different techniques. Just enjoy what you do. Have fun and tight lines everyone.
Wait just a minute here! If some people can't argue and critique you, they would absolutely lose their mind! 🤣🤣🤣 All I can hope for is to be the one that completely pisses them off!
I know jack all about fishing but using lures seems normal. Its called a Lure for a reason, it’s gonna bait the fish into thinking it’s food and give the same output as actual food instead of losing it
As someone who was formerly a child that hated ketchup with a passion and constantly complained and shamed others for liking it(my entire family loves it and puts it on everything) I can confirm this is very accurate. I still don't like ketchup, but I'm neutral on it since it's a key ingredient in making my homemade BBQ sauce.
Ketchup ONLY belongs on some sort of fried potato product. Fries, hash browns,....... I guess that's it. Oh, and meatloaf. But it better be that thick homemade shit! Putting it on anything else is only done by a psychopath!
Im a sport fly fisherman and i mostly catch and release striper. Bait is messy and i dont feel as “active” or involved with bait . I like tying my own flies with synthetic materials and tricking a fish to eat it . The fact its something i made and not a juicy treat makes it more fun and “sporty”. If i was relying on what i catch to eat i would use bait more. Plus bait can be messy. Sometimes with 1 fly i can go out and have fun.
I think showing people who are potentially one day dependent on catching something, how to fish in any way and have something to eat on the table is actually pretty useful.
Fishing with bait can be kinda tricky because they have to find it and you can absolutely present it wrong, AND they can sometimes nibble it off without hooking... i lost 3 grasshoppers over lunch at my fishing spot because they were just eating it off the hook. Plus....I fish to find keepers to eat, so I'm going to use anything that works.
One argument against natural bait is the fish tend to swallow the hook. That rarely happens with artificial baits. Of course if you're meat fishing that's not a problem as long as regulations allow keeping the size and species targeted.
It all depends. As a fishing guide and registered captain. If I’m going out by myself I usually throw artificial but I’ll leave a pinfish on a popping cork and leave it out of the back of the boat. Also if I was going out with my family or just for a relaxing day. Of course you’re gonna fish bait. No one likes to struggle all the time
Weegee Gaming There’s levels to this shit kid, good luck telling a dude casting 14” streamers with a 12wt fly rod to wild river muskies for 10hrs that it’s the same as throwing stink bait on an ugly stick to bass… all anglers are not created equal 🤙🏻 baits fine, just not as respected unless your harvesting the fish, a vast majority of casual anglers gut hook fish with bait, so promoting bait fishing to the masses inevitably results in more fish killed due to bad rigging/fish handling. Just my 10 cents
if youre fishing live bait you aren't really learning anything. The bait does the work. You are just killin fish for fun because they eat live bait and die to the hook. Artificial bait typically hooks the mouth and you are learning a skill. Both live and artificial bait has its advantages.
Fishing is one of those things where you think it'd have a pretty chill community but you end up with a lot of annoying dudes who think they know how to do things "the right way", when in reality they have no clue what they're talking about and are just repeating something they heard elsewhere.
Its a fish that are alive whit a hook in its back, the bigger fish that swallows it gonna be gut hooked two fishes killed for hobby not even eating them. Live Bait is like hunting whit poison, traps that almost cutting the leg of the animal.. No sport in that just animal cruelty. But hey If thats your thing.
The only thing about live bait is if you're not planning on keeping them, it can be much easier for them to swallow the hook, and then wind up killing them without intending too. So if it's catch and release, I usually stick with lures. Live bait though, crawdads are one of my faves. Also depends on what I'm fishing for.
As I get older my requirements for where I fish and what I use for bait have been fine tuned for my own personal comfort and convenience. No more getting into kayaks, dinghies or canoes. If I cannot walk onto a sizeable bass or trawling boat, it's bank fishing only. Fishing spots are judged by how suitable they are for setting up a lawn chair and having the occasional nap. Baits are artificials, or frozen shrimp I have purchased at the grocery store. If I get skunked, I can always eat the rest of my bait. I end up with a seafood dinner one way or another.
@@payback6454 fishing in florida can be tricky sometimes if you don’t know the water temp\depths. If it’s been cold for 2 weeks the water may still be cold but it could be super sunny and hot out. Just the little things change where our bass are at it’s weird sometimes. Like hotter months the weeds are where it’s at but right now the waters still cold enough so they’re down deep in the middle.

People that say “stop using live bait” are dumb. How do u except us saltwater fisherman to fish. Most people that fish in saltwater use live due to the action and that artificial bait don’t work as well but in some scenarios artificial is better. This is no hate at all.Keep up the great videos Tackle2thepeople!
I'd assume they are referring to bass fishing. All of my fishing buddies exclusively fish for bass. If we catch something else, cool but the main target is large mouths or smallies, if they are present.
and rightfully so, live bait you just torture a living creature for your own pleasure. Me and my dad fish plenty of times every summer and we have no problem catching fish in salt water, it's just excuses.
hey, i love using wax worms and leeches! best bang for your buck honestly. plus scent and each attracts solid amount of fish. i’m hesitant to use artificial lures because of how much i’ve caught on live bait. this ‘24 season im going to try frogs, in-line spinners, crank baits, and leech spoons. i want to try the lures to catch bigger fish but i enjoy the fun of it to use wax worms or leeches to just catch fish.
as a saltwater fisherman, working your way up the food chain is one of the most satisfying things you do. throw a net, catch some shrimp, use the shrimp to catch a pin fish, cut the pin fish and catch a bull red. try it! it's so much fun and will challenge you in ways that you never even thought of!
So true. Sand flea, to croaker, to small jack, to shark is a fun time. Much preferable to the glass minnow, to goggle eye, to tuna, to shark that happens much too often for my taste. A lot of crazy stuff happens while bait fishing that you would miss otherwise.
If anybody were to tell me that my PB bass which was 6 lbs. 5 oz. That I caught on shiners was cheating I would immediately humble them by telling them about the time I caught a 6.4 bass on a trick worm, Texas rigged, or the 6 lber on the dot I caught on a crank bait. It’s not that I don’t like using lures it’s just that livebait fishing is more fun majority of the time
Fishing and hunting are being infiltrated by tons of people who think you need to “pay to win”, most expensive boat, truck, rods, guns, camo etc…and they get really mad when people show up with some skill/experience that money can’t buy and catch more and kill more…the fish don’t care how expensive your rod or boat is if you don’t have the sense to cast into the right places, or pick the right bait, and the deer don’t care if you have $3000 rifle with a $1000 scope if you can’t shoot for shit and don’t understand how to find game… shore fishing with real bait is accessible to anyone with a $20 setup from Walmart and a $5 container or worms or minnows, and that makes people look down on it, even though it’s just as and sometimes more effective than plastics and bass boats
When I use live bait I typically run 2 poles. 1 is a crappie pole, the other is a catfish pole. The Crappie pole gets live bait, the Catfish pole gets any dead minnows that happen to be in the bucket, or ones that get pulled off the hook and replaced with fresh ones. The exception to this is night crawlers. I tend to Use NCs when going after pan fish like Bluegill/Sunfish/Bream whatever you want to call them. They're also typically on a bobber and hook type rig. That being said, I'll still chase after Pan fish with artificials, and a light action rod just because it is fun.
I love fishing with bait. The best bait in my opinion just because it catches the widest variety of bait is the night crawler I have caught bass, bluegill, carp, catfish, and even 25lb sturgeon!
Didn’t know fishers had an equevilent to the artists going “references are cheating” Like bro, just because it gives you better results and can help you improve doesn’t make it cheating
I dislike live bait because locals and people from 5 vilages around would come to local pond with 3+ rods, all live bait and they would catch and sell pike, bass, catfish and walleye. At times you would have 45 people with 3 rods and all using live bait, 135 rods all catching fish from sun rise to sun down, not a single fish being released.
@@AS-kn6cq live Bait People dont do it for sport, they want to catch and kill as many fishes as possible, they dont give a shit If they empty the lake.
To me, live/natural bait is for catch and keep since there’s a chance the fish can gut it immediately if the hook set is too late. At least with artificial, the fish will most times spit it out after realizing it’s plastic.
