Why does dark eyeshadow look bad on my deep set eyes? The Makeup Doctor 

As someone with deep set eyes I understand her frustration with winged liner. Somehow the protruding brow bone does get in the way of a clean line and ends up causing a break, not unlike how hooded eyes tend to break the eyeliner. I have had pro artists tell me that I do not have the easiest eyes to draw wing eyeliner on. Much love to you, Jure. Keep fighting the good fight on here :-)

I've been battling deep set eyes since I was in high school. I'm 61 now and actually have permanent eyeliner which solves the problem. I appreciate the beauty of my eyes but never understood why I couldn't use eyeshadows the ways others do.

I have the same winged eyeliner problem as her! The flick simply gets lost in the fold. There is no way to flick unless you make a huge flick that goes into the canyon and comes out on the other side. It's ends up looking so over-the-top it's only the kind of thing you can do while dressed up as a cat for Halloween lol.

And thank you ma'am for having a heart shaped face too. I just learned some things!

love this video! I have same problems but much worse because my eyes are way much more deep set than hers. but hopefully some day! some day I will be able to learn properly how to deal with it!

My friend & I have deep set eyes. I've tried all I could e dark eyeshadows on my lids. Just clashes! However, my friend uses straight up blk eyeshadow, & I'm talking opaque! Not sheer!! She actually does wonders w it!! I've tried her technique on me, but it still doesn't work! We both have diamond/heart/oval faces w dark brown eyes, olive skin complexion, & off blk/dark brown hair. I can't comprehend how she pulls if off regardless! So, u is it that it doesn't suit the deep eye type, but yet I've seen her pull it off? IDK what I'm missing....? 😐

This is an old video so I am not sure if you already truly answered (as in a tutorial) her question about the eyeliner wing-break. This has been my frustration for years and since I also wear modern vintage in 40s & 50s style I am truly in need of a good tip to have my make-up fit my outfits! I have extremely deep set eyes, where my crease ends is also where to protruding brow bone starts. It is like a Bone Hill the eyeliner (or shadow or pencil...whatever) needs to climb and it breaks the line pretty much from the start. It looks ugly and if you want to show ANY line with me I practically need to use up the entire pencil and can join the circus immediately.... Since I also have a bit of a hooded lid & a downward turning moving lid & I am now also 40+ with wrinkles I'm lost. Please point me to a video or article where you show a hack for this...or make one if you can :D. (love your energy and enthusiasm, plus the fact you use more regular-looking girls in your videos)
