Why Does My CAT SLEEP on My FEET? 🦶🏻🐱💤 5 Reasons! 

They certainly are routine driven! Every night when I go to bed, my cat comes and makes bread on my left side pillow, which is her pillow, and whilst she kneads it I’m supposed to scratch her stomach. So she’s basically sitting in my hand and kneading and purring, and this goes on for a minute until she feels satisfied. If I don’t scratch her belly she will sort of pet my arm until I do.

When my cat was little she would sleep under the covers in-between my legs, when she grew up she would sleep on my head. She passed a few years ago and I just got a rescue kitty and she’s very independent and likes to sleep next to me not on me.

I had a cat that I grew up with (she lived to be about 23) that cat was my shadow. She would sometimes sleep on the pillow and just above my head with her legs on both sides of my head. Basically like a cat beanie lol. Most often though, she’d sleep with her head in my armpit under the covers. She was an odd cat, but my best friend growing up and even up to when she passed.

My little bug gets inside the bed and lies next to me. She doesn't fear to be crushed. If anything, I have been pushed out of the bed by her.

My cat was a rescue cat from a crazy cat lady who collected cats,half of them died. My wife and daughter came home one evening bringing our now cat home. I admit I was soooo mad!!!!! A few days later the cat started getting sick and was on the verge of death. We rushed it to the vet who was luckily able to save it. Years passed now. I love the absolute hell out of that cat. He sleeps at my feet,bites my toes during the night if I move my feet. He's the first person I see every morning and the first person I see when I come home from work. Yes he's a person. 😂. I'll ask him about his day and he'll try his best to talk to me, meowing in different tones. He's right on my heels every second I am in the house and am told cries when I leave. 🥰 Reminiscing about my Ginger Maine Coon cat, Oscar, with green eyes, who lived to be almost 17. When I laid on my sofa listening to music hey jump on the sofa on my legs and crawl up on my chest start pushing and pulling with his paws into my shirt, becoming comfortable & kissing me on the nose, then leaning back, constantly purring, then falling asleep. Sometimes I would fall asleep as well. The purring sound was so calming I'll never forget those times ! 😍 He died Veterans Day 24 years ago. I still miss my beautiful pet, & Stella, my gorgeous German Shepherd, as well. 😔

My cat likes to spoon with me. I sleep on my side and she waits until I get positioned, then nudges my arm up until I lift it so she can get under it. Sometimes she demands to be under the covers too. LOL

If I am in the fetal position, there is always a cat either in the curve of my stomach or knees. If I lay on my back, one will sleep BETWEEN my feet, the other will be on the outside, closer to the edge so hubby won't kick them.

When I'm in bed I usually start on my left-hand side with my left arm up the side of my pillow. For years one of my cats, Shakti, has made my left arm her pillow. She'll lay almost completely on top of my arm and rest her head in my palm so I can scratch the left side of her face. She'd have me do it all night given half a chance!
