I LOVE rooting in perlite. So far it really has been successful for me too and as you tell here so much faster.

@@tropicalplantmomma Yes me too. Makes sense for sure. I clipped off some red emerald cuttings a little over a week ago and they already have nice root growth. Crazy fast. And the leaves never wilt in perlite.

🎋💚🎋THANK YOU 🙌 I've heard of this but never tried it out. Water was always the easy route. Just hope I can remember to add a bit of water once in awhile is my only issue. I think I'll use some press n seal on top to hold moisture in, in my dry climate.

Your welcome. It seems to have worked very well for the one cutting I tried it on and its a stubborn rooting plant..lol 😆 so I'm kinda excited to see what each cutting does in each medium and who will beat who 😆 🤣

Great video. I root a jewel orchid in perlite and that sucker rooted so fast with thick juicy roots . I don’t know why I haven’t done it since. Smh.

Really interesting video,do you need to add water to the perlite,other than when you first do the propagation ,and do you need to put a hole in bottom of container. Much love Gloria Uk🌿🌾

Ok, now I am really inspired to go to the garden center to get some Perlite. Unfortunately, because of covid I can't go to the volcano itself. Some of my plants without that in the soil might find a few spoons of that nummy eh?Perlite, the spice of life. 🤔Thanks. 🙂 Take an in water fizzy magnesium supplement for your backache. It really does work well for rooting and I'm sure gives some extra boost to our soil for plants.
