@@EmpireMG The Bible must be interpreted as the way it was intended. That is, by the intended audience. The Hebrews received this as historical. If you do not do the same, you undermine the very foundation upon which the rest of the Bible depends. This then makes it much easier for Satan to under mine a Christian's faith. There are other parts of the Bible which ARE metaphorical, poetry, etc. But in the end, it's up to you whether to accept God's Word, or man's word.

I stopped being Christian because of this. This and other documentaries that show the similarities between all the ancient religions and how the conquerers used the same basic formula for all the religions of the people/slaves they used to build their empires.
