Why Does The Crown Area Always Look Empty? 

My approach for my hair fall control. I mixed 4-5 drops of rosemary oil in my liitleextraaa cocoonnion shampoo during application and I kept on continuing this for approximately 3-4 months and I saw my hair fall decreased so much.

Whenever I search about my crown it comes up with hair loss. I have been cracking up for years but taking videos and my hair doesn’t seem to change, i can see my scalp. This video is a life saver!! Thank you

I stopped with all these pills, lotions, surgery (only had one), injections etc and opted for a wig. Stress over, no side effects, no wasting time and money going to doctors, filling up prescriptions etc. I look fab.

I was going through male pattern boldness according to me, losing a little bit of my Crown. I noticed I have two crowns so when I take a picture of the very top of my head I was freaked out. I have strong growth everywhere else except the top I noticed. Good to know it’s not hair loss

THANK YOUU I’m 16 and I’ve always looked at my crown and thought I was thinning because of the way it looked but I can tell that my dad hairline is slowly receding and his dad my grandma is alr completely bald but the thing is that on my moms side my grandpa still has a full head of hair and he’s in his 60s but I’ve always asked my dad about my hair receding and he would always tell me that my hair isn’t thinning and that it’s not receding but this video here has made my stress go away THANK YOU DOCTOR

My crown is definitely thinning but it’s not thinning anywhere else. The rest of my hair line is thick and strong but my crown is really thin. Makes me wonder if it’s more than MPB

What you say is true. But my scalp is beyond this, its like bald area on top of the head. my hairline otherwise is decent, just an ugly balding area on top where hair is really thin. If this continues I might actually go bald on the top first before I go bald on the front and sides

Hey Doctors, Been following you guys for a while now and enjoying all the valuable content. Could you possibly cover the topic of thyroid hormone production in relation to androgenic alopecia? From what I know it is currently a debated topic. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and also suffer from male pattern baldness. A low functioning thyroid causes a low amount of progesterone. Progesterone blocks DHT production just as finasteride does. Is it possible that a lack of natural progesterone in men due to low functioning thyroid could cause the exacerbation of male pattern baldness especially in young men? Thanks!

I’m a 22 aggressive balder, I’ve recently got back on finasteride and take 1mg every other day rather than everyday. Do you think I need to get back to taking it once a day? I stopped taking it before because I perceived side effects but this could’ve been due to other reasons

Oh. Well, thanks. It's literally the only place that I feel bald in. I do dermarolling once a week, Finasteride 5mg EOD, Topical Minoxidil and RU-58841 and was gonna look into dutasteride topical and a laser helmet. I still might.

You should discuss the difference in hairloss between a single crown and a double crown. I am a twin. I have a double crown and my borther has a single one. MY doc told me that I will have a larger bald patch at the back due to this.

Why has my scalp been effected? i am not bald by any means but if i don't use hair products ie clay or wax you can see my whole scalp and its actually got a pattern of an egg shape i don't know why i have this kind of hair loss.

My hair loss is a Norwood 7 and I recently had my first hair transplant done to cover the frontal hairline area. When I look at the top of my head I see a large area including the crown that wasn't reached. I'm just curious if they'll be able to complete my hair loss treatment with a second hair transplant? I’m taking finasteride for hair loss and it’s working fantastic but I know reduction in dht is not going to help beard growth so I use minoxidil on my face . So I’m using finasteride and minoxidil combined which is common but one is for beard growth. Will the minoxidil help my beard growth with the reduced dht from finasteride? I’ve decent growth in it now but just a little sparse on the sides that I want to thicken.....I’ve been on finasteride for 2 years and started the minoxidil for beard 3 months ago( with no results yet on beard)

Hey doc, hairs on the sides of my crown got thinner and not the middle part

Hi, I am 22 years old and currently on 1mg Fin each other day for about 1 month. I am mostly affected by hair loss in the crown area (~Norwood 2.5). Given my young age, is it still recommended to be on such low dose/frequency because I am probably more sentitive to DHT? Should I up the dose to 1mg daily or wait for first results in 3-4 months? Is it normal to have hair strands of different thickness all over your scalp? They usually grow 8cm long for example, but vary on thickness. Some are thick, others medium thick others thin.
