Every Indian needs to understand this situation and try to improve there condition in the Olympics, it's a shame 😞 😞 we have a population of 1.2 billion people and still we manage to only win 28 medals 😦 I hope India has a better performance in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics!
to be honest we are not great in cricket either always losing major tournaments we have just won like 5-6 major cricket tournaments and 3 of them was under one captain alone that's all
i was a national player of field hockey, and my college denied me groud for practising saying, 'Hockey' stick is a weapon, don't want riots in campus...i won a medal in open tournament, college agreed to give me grnd on one condition, i had to surrender my hockey stick to the campus officer like a weapon, i would get only when practicing. This was the attitude of all the 'Ph D' in our education system. While some of the students had katta in their rooms.😂😂
@@Arun-cx3xu bro, we are talking with the pope we have, we should be sending more than the amount of athletes we send..and even the ones we send barely ever win anything
I will come back to this video in ten years to see if anything changed in the sports arena so that I can comment saying "We came a long way after Mohak posted this video. Good Job India."
10 years is a very short time lol. Even Japan national football team had setup 100 years plan in 1984 to win World Cup. 36 years later, they're now most successful team in Asian Cup but still they struggle to get past round of 16 in World Cup.
As an Ethiopian 🇪🇹 I would love to hear what you guys were saying about my country lol. 😩 Y’all should make cricket an Olympic sport. Skateboarding just became one for Gods sake.
He has divided the medals winning countries into three groups 1. Very rich countries 2. Poor Countries with Highly centralised Government 3. Poor countries with investment on low cost sports like athletes. He said Ethiopia is one of these countries.
@@Nileshyadav1717-g9b No I just watch the video and I was wondering how come Indians are not winning medals decpite your population and the economic growth y’all have. then I watched them mentioning my country that’s why I asked.
@@kiyakassa1726 the problem is very deep and complex to even understand. This can be blamed Indian society on grass root level. 90% of parents doesn't support their child if their dream is to be a particular sports pro. Every parent in India wants their child to be grinding in 9 to 5 job or doctor or engineer. Education system is to be blamed as well. PT class is taken by some random subject teacher to complete his/her pending portion ignoring the overall development of child education and physical/practical education is as important as theoritical education. Corrupted politicians that doesn't have a single piece of knowledge on the position they are assigned to and are only there to wet their ever drying pockets is cherry on the top for this problem. What I mentioned are just some of the prominent problems we face in India there are much more compared to what I have said.
Indian parents are the reason. Har koi chata hai unke beta ya beti Teacher, Engineer, Doctor, Lawyer Banega. Sportsman banne keliye koi utsah nahi deta. :(
so much financial and moral aid is available for indians to pursue engineering, yet indian engineers are some of the most incompetent engineers in the world. i think evolution has polluted our genes and we are simply not capable of doing anything
I am currently writing a book and want to become a writer but as you know just after I have completed my high school my parents and relatives all want me to become IS or IPS. They don't know success rate interest in the field and what more things to qualify for being IPS, they are like "try karoge to ho jaega." SPORTS is so so far from the reach.
@@Sagardeep_Das winners***all gold, silver, and bronze winners will get prize accordingly. And its the lndian olympic association who has set the cash prizes. And what are you trying to relate with statistics i, don't understand.
Why I feel cut a sorry face that you are the most underrated you tuber ever seen .I think U must be millions of subscribers for showing the harsh reality of Indian sports federation as well as athlete that during the 1984 to 2016 got only one gold medal in Olympic its time to government to ponder why we could not execute more gold than that of such a small country like Serbia, Kenya, Jamaica and so on have produced the world class athlete and succeeded to honorable niche in the medal tally. This is such an epiphany video. Guys who are reading my comment I implore you to share this video as much as you can and asking you a question that why this type of videos never gone viral or trending on you tube? Are we self centered in the contemporary world or जाने दो मुझे क्या अपना काम बनता भाड़ मे जाए जनता 😏
Cricket is successful because Thier is a proper participation of private and govt in it . Private companies invest Thier money and get advertising and govt monitors which Countries are coming to play . I think har sports mein Aisa hi karna chahiye
@Ruturaj Shiralkar cricket is watched 2 billions people but 1.4 billions are Indians and rest 600 millions are from Pakistan, Bangladesh, srilanka, Afghanistan or from Nepal and other Indians living outside india, so how you are saying it's been watched by 2 billions all over the world ? You should be saying that only subcontinent people watches cricket
@Ruturaj Shiralkar all those 2 billions people are from India, Pakistan, srilanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Nepal, Bhutan and also Indians who Lives abroad
Things are about to change now🔥 I hope we do get it again, but if we don't get gold medal in 2024, people should still promote sports more🌟 Support should be given before getting a medal now on. The Spark of Neeraj medal should make people try to compete in sport.
this wont make a big difference, just like our first olympic gold medalist Abhinav BIndra in 2008 did'nt. Well there will remain a spark until the next big cricket match
India's background and poor culture is the main reason ...... Talents don't get enough oppurtunity ..... Also parents compare their kids with others....
In Paris Olympics 2024, the Indian Olympic committee has to definitely send BABA RAMDEV as a gold medal prospect in wrestling ....no less than that....🤪🤪🤪
donno in which world u r living...but objectionable content is diffrent from criticism,,,man arrested for objectionable spam content not for criticism/
Through different stages sports is ruined in India 1)Our parents and society won't accept 2)Our education system doesn't allow a single games period It is taken away by any of the MPC subjects,in case given 3)Extreme pressure to find a good job in engineering or medical fields particularly 4)Even though playing good, they are not promoted and funded well Money plays an important role here 5)We think Cricket as the 'ONLY SPORT' in India 6)Marketing and advertisements only for Cricket There are more to be mentioned but we all know that what happens internally If these are improved,India will have secured a good position in Olympics ranking
Not equally but accordingly. For ex: A 6'2 kid with talent should focus more on sports, but he/she should be interested though and should do whatever they want to do. I don't know how many years it will take, 10-15 I guess
It starts right with grassroots level. For example my friend played football on school until 10th but they got no support from school... All the equipment, going to matches they had to do themselves or parents had to help out the school just said who cares about football especially girls football
One thing this channel missed is 'financial condition of family'. Anyone noticed the caste or community of medal winner especially in wrestling?? Actually I'm not promoting casteism. In 2017 when my younger bro started training in wrestling at very famous 'akhaada' of Delhi. After 3 months most the trainees or students left those 'akhada'. Only few are left & they all are from Jaat community. When I was asked to his friends & their family members about switch the wrestling, they all are answer in same tone "Medal jeet gya to naukri mil jayegi, agar medal jeet k nhi laya to hum khayenge kya?, Jaat (community) logon ko paas to bhot paisa hota h wo to baith k bhi khaa skte lekin hum nhi"... I was thought that time "aisa bhi hota h?"
This video did tell us why India does not win Olympic medals. The government is a part of the problem and please note l am not targeting Modi, l am talking about the government’s mismanagement and double standards.
@@indranilDey227 wait it's like expecting a backbencher to become a topper in a day improvement will happen let's hope after 3 years we get more gold medal and our medal tally crosses 10
Olympics, education, poverty, malnutrition, literacy, per capita income should be improved why Indians will not win Olympic medals because of politics.

Congress is not in power. 🤦♂️ India started very low. Even survival was very difficult at one point. Maintaining democracy itself is a big acheivement.
Nice content, u cover most of the reasons why India don't win medals, but I think cricket is one obstacle that hamper India from champion in other sport
1. Cricket is unfit to be included in Olympics, it's not a popular sport. 2. Even if included, Indian Cricket Team cannot play because BCCI is not under International Olympic Association. 3. If cricket is included, only two events (men & women) will be there. If India wins in these two events, it will only get 2 medals!
@RandomBoy2214 Whatever you have stated is true but everything remains a dead letter. Indian govt is far more interested in including Yogasana as Olympic sport than include Cricket and send Indian cricket team. You will not see cricket in Olympics before 2048 as dominant nations in sports such as USA, China, Canada, Russia, South Korea, Germany, Japan, Hungary are opposing it. Even if India win 2 medals, it will be ranked 70+ in Olympic table, because table toppers get 50+ medals. If India thinks it can win only in cricket and not in any other sports, then there is a problem in Indian sports ecosystem.
3:50 with that money we could have built a luge/bobsleigh track for our winter sports atheletes, eg:-Shiva Keshavan. And I don't know why India does not give Arjuna Awards for our Winter sport atheletes. So Sad...
Situations are that much good today but we the youth of the nation can change and one day India will be again "Vishwa Guru" (World Teacher).Lets do our best and hope for the best
OMG!! Deepa Kamarkar was rejected a physio therapist and here; when i played U-14 state cricket( Karnataka)..i had an appointed personalised physio therapist for two fucking whole days cause i had a tear in my back while bowling in the nets. This is very unfortunate and shameful.

Central govt. had built Sardar Patel statue to only make world's tallest statue in some place without giving concern to the local people there about their homes or forestry. What more can you expect from these lunatics?
The billionares of our country should open a institution for Sports training for Olympics and body nutrition and building for the children of most poorest people of the country , this will tackle poverty in the country and also improve performance at Olympics
#Moreyouknow Athletes begin in a sitting position and push themselves to speed by hand. As the track steepens, the athletes lie back, as flat as possible, steering with their legs and shoulders. Careening through the curves, they can hit speeds nearing 90 mph, earning luge the label “fastest sport on ice.” The term “luge” comes from the French word for “sled” and dates back centuries as a transportation method. The sport came to the Olympics in 1964, and the Germans have dominated ever since.
Invest in NE especially Manipur in building sport infrastructure...and no politics in sports selection ....50% in Olympic athletes must be from NE especially Manipur ontherwise no hope...
Over the years much attention is given to a very few sports ( especially cricket) and when Olympics is very near ,all remember about other ones. Olympics is such a competitive platform that 1-2 years of training can't make any impact, the players should be provided attention and facilities so that they can undergo rigorous training through all the four years and come out with great results.
