A real "GER" (convert) has to find his own way to Judaism. To convince people to convert is like trying to convince a man to marry a certain woman he is not really interested in. It degrades her and also him. There will never be a strong healthy inner bond between them. The Torah is too precious to sell it cheaply.
Couldn't agree more perfectly put... And thank you for doing that. Torah is no doubt very very precious, like a Ketubah(Jewish nuptial contract), which can't be shared with anyone or treated like a job/employment contract with anyone randomly. It's sacred, intimate and it has to relied heavily on destined way towards Judaism.

My great grandfather was Jewish some where down the line my family became catholic, I was raised Christian but I recently started exploring Judaism and my great grandfathers history; my question is since I’m technically no longer Jewish is there a way I can return to my ancestors or am I now a goy and I have to go through conversion?
You need to go through conversion. It is for your sake to learn what it means to be a jew as you have not been in contact with jews, to learn hebrew and jewish traditions and laws. Why do you want to be a jew anyway? It is too much work?

I really enjoy a lot if what Rabbi Manis Friedman says but not this. Keep in mind this perspective is Kabbalistic not Torah based. And the mere fact that he introduces the Tikkun Olam idea which is definitely not from Torah us problematic. Also he says that everything we go is in the service if God so then why according to him be a Jew?

An Orthodox conversion is the most demanding. One can convert to any of the branches of Judaism. If doing all the traditions the traditional way matters to you, an Orthodox conversion will probably give you the most satisfaction.

Nobody has an eccentricity that will make them try to make other people believe in their pet theology that pleases them. They have to be either eccentric/lunatic or ego maniacs who want to make people believe in their brand of relative truth - or even die for it when persecuted, without raising a hand. So many missionaries around the world gave up their lives or made the ultimate sacrifice, just so that others could HAVE what they HAVE. And who were those missionaries - from all ages, enlivened by the CREATOR and claiming it is the absolute truth without recanting even till death. There are many many obscure and unknown people/missionaries even today, like Robert Jermain Thomas (1840-1866) who went to Korea (then closed to foreign people) and even while dying was pleading his captors to just take the Bible. And the missionaries do not enforce their faith by guns or any other means of force. Why would they give up the comforts of their lives and be ready to sacrifice everything, unless they know what they are siding with IS truth?
To whom it may concern; The powers that be are hard at work to achieve the combination of all religions under a same leader. When these religions combine into one with a single leader at the top, many things will already have been instated. Of which the CBDC and ESG are just a few. But I personally think these are just tools for enforcement. The Mark will come “long” after the use of these tools. Once the world uses these tools in everyday life they will learn the power of this system and that it is necessary for life. A close focus of this system is already in place in China. There’s just too much division but the desire for a solution lives in us all. The solution will come late though. Wars, and famine and disease are to come first. Also the Central Banking Digital Currency and the Environmental, Social and Governance will have been instated already. We must get used to it to learn the power and might of it. Our world has to deal with many thing in the foreseeable future. We will be driven into looking for a single leader who can solve it all. Something to unite us all and solve all bad things. And then when the world’s suffering is at it’s highest, they will bring in the solution which no-one expects. Our saviour returns….. yesssss, saviour with a little “s”. With thundering might and awe lucifer will return when he is finally cast out of Heaven. Read your Word carefully, lucifer is NOT cast out yet. For when he is, only then lucifer will realise his time is short. Our elites will make it so it seems as if Jesus the Christ Himself is finally returning. Our world leaders with help of the media will also help them. It is all already in place. Then the worlds faiths will unite under the single One World Faith. Secretly they already worship the same god, Judaism, Roman Catholicism, Islam, it is all secretly Sun worship. Sun worship is Lucifer worship. They won’t call it Luciferian but that is what it will be. His rule is the Luciferian Age. The world will love him and receive him. Whom are given power… We always forget our war is not against man but against evil spirits. In a spiritual war the mark must also be spiritual. CBDC and ESG are tools for control. But lucifer already has control. he is already the Prince of this world but not recognised as such. He is still hidden. But he wants the world to worship him! Then because of all that shall happen the world will actually believe he is the Christ! The mark of lucifer is and always has been the Sun. Sunday law is lucifer’s law. Worship on Sunday is Lucifer worship. It will seem very good because the world will believe he is the Christ. Did he not solve all the problems etc. Etc. They will love it and go freely to worship or do whatever they wish on Sunday. They will believe they are christians. They shall not understand they are not christians. One will be hated for not following to do so. The Sunday law will seem inconspicuous. Harmless even and the world will be at peace, people will be happy and free. Until Jesus the Messiah returns. Love, and preach the gospel without hesitation. Let it be never ending. Nothing else matters. Our death by the hand of Lucifer will be our greatest victory and glory. I was very happy with my relationship with God. That God does not demand from us earthlings jews any act or sacrifice but he only demand what he commands us for our sake to improve our lives while on this earth. So as a jew following his commandments we as jews are eventual beneficiaries and commandments are there to improve our lives only. God has no benefit from us jews keeping his commandments like keeping Kosher or observing the Sabbath, we ourselves are the beneficiaries and God does not have any direct or indirect benefit from these acts my God is a compassionate God like a parent that only wants the best for his child. Indeed in practice this is exactly how it worked. So my relationship with God was based on if I did do the commandment I indeed benefited and I suppose God was happy to see his commandment is being done so we can have a better world after all and if I did not follow his commandment then i was the looser and God had nothing else to do with it. This carried on until a friend pointed out his view that God is in fact not a passive observer in all these. His God was passionate too but he damanded obedience and demanded the jew to follow his commandments to the dot. For him God commandments was not a just an advise for impoving our lives but if we dont follow them we are in fact have not done what God demands of us. Exclusive right to worship him and ultimate obligation to follow his commandments while here on this earth regardless of our insignificance as human beings he still cares that his commandments are followed by us. We are his servants as Jews and we need to serve him and as a Jew we must follow his commandments to serve him. This is what is written in our Torah.

No, it means you don't need to do 613 commandments to go to heaven, as you are not a jew. You just need to do the 7 commandments of noah's sons and you go to heaven. You don't need to be a jew to go to heaven.

@@thetrueprophet9104 An apple is not an orange, but they are both fruit. The Shulchan Aruch is HaLacha. I am sure you can find the same concepts in the Gemara anyway, since (as stated before) the law is derived largely from Tanakh. But a rabbi would know more about that than I.

But we’re not a universalist faith/religion/cult like Christianity or Islam. We’re an ethno-religious group a bit like Native American tribes. We do focus on preserving our culture from generation to generation but it shouldn’t come about by “convincing” or forcing others to be like us. It’s genuinely more beautiful and beneficial, I personally believe, to us because we actively discourage conversions due to all the sacrifices needed to become a Jew we’re able to weed out who’s genuinely serious and willing to undertake this way of life as opposed to thinking we need to constantly expand just for the culture to survive

We don’t go around proclaiming to be the one true path and in the age of emancipation took strides to assimilate into the societies we lived in such as France and Britain but as writers like Theodore Herzl pointed out: we were never fully permitted to do so. Also we should look to the responsibility host nations/peoples had towards treating us fairly when we lived amongst them without some form of representative government or a state of our own. It’s not us to get you to like us if you force us into ghettos, pay higher taxes then others because we’re considered “infidels” or “dhimmi” having equal treatment dangled in-front of us on the condition of conversion/assimilation, forcing us to wear identifying clothing, restricting us to professions that are considered socially unclean or sinful? But yeah sure it’s our responsibility to become like the universalists and pressure others to convert. Universalism has been the worst thing Jews have had to deal with because you lot will never be content to just leave us be.

Very stingy not to share the message with others and very tribal to keep it only with one nation. Well, the Almighty sent a message to all the nations. Allah favoured Beni Isreal and rewarded them many times and punished them many times. Banned them from lands for disobedience and rewarded them with safe asylums. However after Jesus peace be upon him the revelation has been given to the lineage of Ishmael. His mother Hagar, wife of Ibrahim(as) was an Arab woman and the line of prophethood continued from them. That was one of the reasons some of the Jews rejected the message of Nabi Muhammad ﷺ . They could not deny that Qur'an is from God but could not stand Nabi Muhammad ﷺ was not from their line. Allah decides these matters, not people. And Jews are only people like anyone else, even if they think differently.
It means nobody burns in hell forever in Judaism. It's not insensitive; it is a brushing off of the promise of damnation that some Christian churches believe in. Some of them say if you don't believe the way we say you will burn forever after you die. Being American I bet the rabbi is up on what some fundamentalist Christian churches tell people when they try to convert them.

My grandparents survived violent pogroms in Poland (mostly a Catholic culture) & Russia (mostly a Russian Orthodox Christian culture) & the horrors they told me from their youth was quite enough, thank you very much. The family that stayed behind in Europe; the Polish side all died in Hitler's gas chambers (& Hitler justified killing Jews w his own Catholicism) & only one person survived WW2 in Russia; out of 13 children my great grandma had. She was able to bring two kids w her to the US (somehow) but the other 10 children she had died in WW2. I know the root of the problem isn't Christianity.
