I ask my husband that question ALL the time!!! He amazes me every day. I don’t know how he can manage a restaurant, construction company, remodeling our own house, and his four kiddos and marriage... He’s AMAZING!!!

I love the ideas you’re sharing with the world & contemplating together. Thank you for this and thank you for not simply going with the patterns of the world but questioning them and being intentional. You guys are wise and inspiring.

I was just having this conversation with my husband last night. I am currently a sahm to a two year old active boy and I am a fulltime student nearing the end of my associates degree in a couple months. I started to look for part time jobs and it is so overwhelming I cried and cried because my husband does not have to think about things like who is going to watch our son for interviews or work. He does not have to think about finding a daycare or nanny. I tend to feel like all the pressure of raising our son and keeping our family together and cared for falls on me. It can be pretty overwhelming

TBH this is the best vid you've made all year. Doesn't seem forced, you're not trying to insert an ad in the middle. Thanks for uploading.

I think you guys are awesome! These were just some of my thoughts that popped up while listening to this. Keep up the great work!! I never hear a women (not that I know everyones situations) being offended bc they think it’s sexist to ask that question, most women are annoyed/stressed bc they are having balance most of the home/family work by them selves and you are reminding them that they are not getting the amount help they need from their husbands. If both the husband and the wife are working full time then the husband should be doing half the family/house work so they are both balancing it all together. Unfortunately for most people (at least the people I know, especially ones with student loans) they can not afford to have the Mom/wife stay home or even work just part time. They have to work full time to be able to afford to live. I have a friend who literally has to choose between food for her family or paying the electric bill some months if her husband has a couple bad shifts at the 2 restaurants he works at that. She works full time and they are still struggling that much. There is no way one of them could stay home. Of course we all offer to help them out during those situations but this is real life for many families around the US.

Jeff, I love hearing your opinions and thoughts! Bring them on! I wouldn't mind a whole video of your thoughts! Alyssa, you're amazing and I LOVE hearing you both on the podcasts. The whole industrial topic was interesting and it definitely relates to the whole idea of dads (or moms) letting other sources take on the responsibility for their families. That sorta blew my mind. I'm married and don't have kids yet. I'm actually trying to get my husband to listen to your podcasts. I've also been speaking to him about helping around the house more often because yes it is unfair/uncool for the female to do everything. I think its probably the reason I'm scared to have kids. It definitely was the reason I had a mental breakdown before getting married. A few months before our wedding I started feeling overwhelmed. I felt the pressure of being a wife. The thought of picking up after a man was terrifying because I shouldn't have to raise a child. Anyway I sat down with my future husband (at that time) and told him how I felt. Has anything changed? A little bit. Heres the thing, if I ask him to do some cleaning he'll do it, but thats my issue I don't want to always ask I feel it should just be done. It should be something he wants to do because he can't live that way. Does anybody understand me?

This is 100% what has been on my heart lately. My heart desires so badly to build my home and my family, but I don’t think my husband understands it 100% I truly feel called and compelled to be a stay at home mom and raise and poor into my children. I used the the whole industrial thing on my husband, but, I’m still working lol 😂 But I also feel it for him. And I guess this is not really the topic you guys talked about but you touched in it. I love how you guys did both the podcast but still gave us footage! I love booth!!! I listened to the podcast and then watched it here again!

I love that you two put this podcast on RU-vid! I think the long format works really well for you both, and it gives you more of a chance to add nuance to your views and and for both of you to express your opinions at length. I don't really listen to podcasts normally, but in a video format like this I could do it. I also liked the topics you explored in this video. I think it's great to be willing to question the assumptions that are being made in society, too. Jeff, I know what you mean about feeling like you're swimming against the current sometimes. I feel that way a lot with regard to pursuing God's tangible presence with us in every part of our lives. It seems hard to find other people who really have any value for that.

Loved the whole podcast! WOW! So good! Also, it's great y'all added the video, makes it even more personal. PS: I love the way you both parent and lead and love your family. Jeff, I think your example on fathering is going to revolutionize a lot of fathers' lives and thus also their families, especially as it is not something talked about a lot. It has for sure changed my mind about it a lot!

Hey, Jefferson. How can I balance my hobbies with my faith?
@aestheticboutique1600
@aestheticboutique1600 5 лет назад
Try starting a small group based on your hobby. My church encourages us to use our passions/interests to share with others who may have similar likes. Not only do you get to make friendships with the people from your church, but you also get to serve the Lord with the gifts and talents he had blessed you with. So just talk to your pastor about maybe starting a guys basketball night, or whatever your hobby is!

I am Gali, in the year 1980 I lost all my hopes, I became a thief and club dancer. At that time I heard about Christ, the Lord spoke with me though the Scripture. JOHN 14:6 “I AM THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE NO MAN COMETH UNTO THE FATHER BUT BY ME.” I surrendered my life to Lord Jesus and confessed that He is the only Lord and died for my sins to deliver me from all my sins (Karma). When I totally surrendered my life to the Lord He has delivered me from evil spirits, which suffered me about 6 years. I became a new person in Christ. I love Bible so much and started memorizing the scriptures. By the grace of God I have memorized Five Thousand (5,000) Verses from the Holy Bible. Every week I also remember all the verses. Morning time I remember about 1500 verses for praise, worship and prayer. (Including 100 Psalms). This practice helps me to grow strong in the Lord and also to help others for the glory of the Lord. John 14:6 is my favorite verse; I preach this word to many unsaved people that they may find the peace in Jesus Christ because He is the Lord of all. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GWViryWWch4.html
