I was lucky to join battlefront 2 in its prime. Dice had worked their butts off to fix a mistake that EA was at fault for and then continued to put in great additions to a game. Battlefront 2 at its end was the passion project the devs wanted the game to be from the beginning, and I can’t forgive EA for ruining a franchise that had all the potential in the world.

I will never forgive EA for leaving Battlefront 2 to die just when it was starting to build itself back up and gaining momentum, just so they could work on an abysmal game like Battlefield 2042. So much potential wasted.

I'll never give up a competitive saber dueling game. My niches are Star Wars, competition, and gaming. Star Wars multiplayer cannot be ignored, WE will not be denied!! Please keep the dueling content coming for as long as you can manage. Even with the state the game and it's is in, it's all I play besides CoD ranked play.

Our boi still out there with dueling vids, mad respect. I remember right bf2, wasn’t financially successful ENOUGH for EA to bother with after getting wake up call from community. Why they pulled plug for support so early.

I've played battlefront 2 since its beta came out. And its sad it stopped support prematurely. But i am satisfied and happy with all that we did get. And the memories I have made and continue to make with that game will forever be with me. Its a shame though we never got a bf3 or any kind of successor to it, with a multiplayer. The reason i think we wont get one though is because of all the controversies. It has forever tarnished the battlefront name, even after its redemption. I dont really think its spite, just buiseness... and them working on the next battlefield was just the perfect excuse they needed to cut support for front, feel like it was always going to happen at around that time.

EA f’ed up when the pulled support for battlefront for battlefield! They should have never stopped supporting battlefront II with new heros! I would still be playing it if they didn’t. If they the came out with a battlefront III they would monetize it like Apex or Overwatch 2 and I wouldn’t play it. Maybe that would put an end to $20 skins! Idk but the halo infinite, apex, OW2 monetization needs to stop 🛑! It’s disgusting 🤮

EA is so freaking selfish! Seriously, EA should just be shut down forever, and Disney should hire a brand new group that actually cares about Star Wars fans! Honestly, if I was in charge of a game company, and if Disney hired my company to make Star Wars games, I would have my company do it, I would have my game company make a Star Wars Battlefront 3, because literally every Star Wars fan, myself included, want it!

1 they never should’ve nerfed retribution, it’s an ULT that’s a pain to actually make happen, and 2, his repulse should still do at least SOME dmg. Like at least 200 for max charge, it feels weird having the idea of that ability still only do knock back

I suppose there's like one other reason. Some people say that a contributing factor (along with the ones mentioned in the video) is that is would be hard to live up to the legacy of BF2. I mean if they did for some stupid reason mess up even harder than BF2 launch, then that would be extremly difficult to come back from and would tarnish the BF brand even harder than in 2017. Even if it was just underwhelming with a lack of content, that would be such a disappointment 😭 Would it really be that difficult tho to make a succesor to one of the most beloved star wars games? All they have to do is add some more maps, heros, skins and content like the mods. I suppose its just speculation tho.

Think about if they just remastered and combined all the content from the 2 EA Battlefronts and added extra maps, hero’s, game modes like you said and made it all available from launch for “free” (included in the game price, rather than DLCs) and they just had an optional battle pass for cosmetics

Nah live services suck. They’re only possible with insane micro transactions. Look at skull and bones lol. Games is garbage. If they launched a BF3 with no loot boxes and extra BS or locked heroes and they added like 6-12 heroes, especially sabers; the game would sell wayyy more than BF2 if they did it right. Many people are waiting for a new Star Wars game that’s essentially just an even more improved BF2

I really hate EA for botching their turn with the SW license, especially when they control some really popular IPS (The Sims, Madden, Battlefield, Dragon Age, etc) but I applaud DICE that despite all of EA's efforts to seemingly derail Battlefront 2, DICE managed to build Battlefront into a memorable and mostly fun experience, especially since it was a group of like 10 dudes working on it after EA pulled the majority of their team for BF2042. That said, I never expected a Battlefront 3 from EA, despite the rumors. EA knows they botched Battlefront 2 considering it took DICE all of its' active lifespan simply digging it out of the hole that EA created for them. Also points for the underrated Anakin joke 😂

Titanfall 1 sales didn't make up because xbox exclusives Titanfall 2 sales was not good because EA release it between infinite warfare and battlefield 1 battlefront 1 and battlefront 2 came out were fun but end up disappointing because didn't live up to Original battlefront 2004-2005
