He seems like a man’s man. I’ve seen his running expertise on many occasions watching the NFL on TV. But, my first experience watching him run was watching his Southern Methodist Mustangs play in the Holiday Bowl (San Diego) in 1980 against alma mater Brigham Young University. I remember Dickerson ran and caught passes for a load of yardage. With a little over 5 minutes left, BYU was behind by 3 touchdowns. I almost turned the TV off, but didn’t. Jim McMahon and my cougars blocked punts, caught TD passes, and in the end, with no time left Clay Brown caught a 50+ Yard pass to tie the game and the PAT was good!!! That game was great! But not the best I’ve seen... and that was in Provo... BYU vs. U. Of Miami. A story for another day!
