Awesome sir! I own a Farmmac F660V. I upgraded a few things. Added a Gutted Hyway Dual Port Muffler. Installed a Hyway Big Bore Popup Piston kit. Deleted the base gasket. 180 PSI compression. 8 pin sprocket. It's an absolute beast. It was already mean before the upgrades.

i have the same saw and have cut about 40 full cords so far i have the oiler set to max and still burned up 2 tips.it dosent pump quite enough oil. but they sent me 2 new tips for free. now i keep a can of bar oil to dip in. and i do greese the tip a couple times a day. other than that its ok. i am getting another one soon..

I typically run a 28” bar on mine but it sure does love to eat the fuel. I guess that’s what happens when you bump it to 100cc and port it.

Those clone saws are great, they aren’t quiet oem quality but they work and will run consistently. I’ve gotten to run a few neotec saws and they have 90-95% of the power as a genuine stihl. The only issues are the crank shafts are a little soft so you can’t do any port work without risking damage. But as a general work saw for most people they are great

I prefer Echo saws to these. The ongoing project is not my thing working full time with five kids. Chickanic showed me all I need to see about these. I've got a top handle saw from farmertec. Years ago I paid $100 shipped with bar and chain. It's great for the money, but fuel and oil lines rotted right away, I'm constantly having to readjust the carb...I think because the vibration making the jet and idle adjustment move. It does alway start, but I've had my cheap thrill. I love my echo 620. Wish I had a 680, I like the air cleaner design better, but next top handle or any other saw I buy will be echo. Best deal on the market as far as I am concerned.

I bought a Chinese knock off of the same saw. I also bought a repair kit for half the price and when assembled the kit made a complete saw, so I got 2 chainsaws for 1/2 the price of a branded saw. The clones do great

Their is a key way on the inside of tank that the rounded end of the string on the gas cap snaps into.

Look at the inside of the fuel and oil tanks. There's a slot for those cap strings to slide into. It took me a while to figure it out.

I got the same one, I'm pro mech, all I did was enlarge the muffler outlet a little and turn the H in a little and the thing is the most powerful I've ever had. The chain had a broken side link, I fixed it.

A Neo-Tec NS872 was gifted to me, a clone of the Stihl 038. Only issue is a wonky choke lever. Once started, it has torque for days. Not a screamer like my Husqvarna 572xp is, but it just pulls. I also have the cheaper Neo-Tec NCS5800 for a cheap, lightweight saw. Is a Zenoah clone and runs pretty good.

Great saw for a homeowner. Had mine for 2 years now. Only downside is the weak oiler. Especially if your running a 36 bar.

If your having issues you can take a dremel and open up the oil hole on the bar and it will dramatically increase the oil output

Great video. Would love to have heard it run too. Two most important things about chainsaws... Do they start easily? And is the chain sharp? Even the best saw will SUCK if the chain is worn down to a nub. Or if it takes 30 pulls to start it. Again, great vid. Thanks.

I've been using a 22 inch Chinese chainsaw. Cost me 130 bucks and out of the box it has worked. I make lots of logs to be split for firewood. I'm not sorry about the cost or being a Chinese chainsaw. It was the cheapest chainsaw Amazon had at the time.

There are a bunch of people using these clone saws every day for making firewood or milling lumber. I personally have two Neo-Tec saws, the NS872 and NCS5800. I plan on using these saws until the blow up.

Bought a Halzforma (blue saw) last year, a 660 clone . The thing is awesome for milling logs into usable wood. Stihl is overpriced, and I refuse to pay for that.

My experience wasn’t so great, specially with their non-existing customer service…..mine came with peeling paint big time inside the crank cavity and a wrongly machined bar adjusting cavity, not even a Stihl OEM adjuster worked, when I contacted them, their answer was simply: run it that way, it’s ok, dont worry…..Chinese stuff and companies have a long way to go, if ever, before they stop producing junk.

Giant? Doesn't look that big, 90+cc, and $500? Doesn't sound cheaper either, about the same, what's a real 90+cc Stihl cost? I just looked it up, about $2000 used on ebay, evidently, after 50cc, price goes up exponentially. I bought Stihls smallest in the ace hardware store new for $300.

the neotecs have a lot of problems... Farmertec is a far better brand at the same price point with a lot more experience building quality clone saws... I seriously hope youre not shilling for neotec...

@officialweldingfarmingarch2041 you should definitely get a farmertec G660 to compare it too. They've been building that saw for pretty close to 6 years now and have worked out a lot of the issues with cylinder castings, weak rings and bearings. I'm sure the neotecs will get there, but they aren't there yet... I'm also curious what their customer support is like. I know the man who owns and operates farmertec regularly posts and responds to posts on their Facebook forums. When customers had spark plug issues he switched to NGK plugs. When people had ring issues he switched to running caber rings. Farmertec also stands behind their products 100% matching stihl in warranty. I just can't justify paying the same price for a product that doesn't have the same support and time on the market...

My Holz/Farmertec 660 has been nothing but problems. My Neotec 372 has ran like a beast. The Holz/Farmertec had a bad carb, a chain adjuster that would strip gears, an oiler that wasn’t machined on its mating surface, the handle bar bent on first use, etc. I would be lucky to get a solid 15 minute run without something happening.

A lot of Stihl saws and parts are made in China. They also manufacture in Brazil, which is a BRICS nation. You are aiding the enemy no matter where you go.
