I don’t think Drake really has sat down and thought about that. The fact that Kendrick only has to drop once every four or five years is not a bad thing. That’s actually another check in the winning column for Kendrick. Kendrick’s fan base like him enough and there are millions in his fan base that we sit around and we still listen to his past catalog while we’re waiting for the new album. If Drake took five years off, he would be done. Drake is only going after pop fans who are only going to like him for about a five-year period anyway. Drake has to constantly steal somebody else’s style every other year to stay relevant because he doesn’t know shit about the culture so if he’s not ripping whoever is the hottest at the time off then Drake has no career. He can’t go every five years. Kendrick is good enough that he can.
