Finnish boats have really taken over in the last five years with axopar, saxdor, sargo, targa, flipper, yamarin and finnmaster

Great presentation, great boat. 40kts with a single 225hp seems optimistic on 27footer. That stepped hull must be super efficient in reducing drag.

The roof comes us a standard part of the configuration? or is considered an extra?

I believe the starboard side deck is designed differently so one can disembark onto a pontoon more easily. Nice boat.

The Finns know how to build a boat, no doubt about it. They have a great maritime industry.

They do. These are made in Poland, though. Like Axopar and others. Poland has become a major hub for leisure boat building (They've "always" had a shipbuilding industry). Now, "Every" volume leisure boat producer seems to build there. While those who don't yet do, rely on suppliers from there. The Finns still build boats at home. Really, really well, too; by more traditional/artisan, less industrial; processes. Just not at prices even remotely competitive with these.

Nice boat and attractive price, but the rear seating is a no-go for me. Who wants three individual seats? I would much prefer a sofa (L or U-shape), which is much more sociable and flexible (most converts to full-size sunbeds). The skylights are brilliant! The Ryck 280 is perfect, but unfortunately rather more expensive.

It can get butt cold in Finland at night :) And the components/subassemblies, as well as processes for fitting them, are readily available from their cabin boats. A hob requiring shore power, taking up lots of room on a small boat, seems more huh?! to me. Wonder if you could get the wetbar, but without the hob, so you could put a camp stove there.

My last boat was 28', slept 6, central heat and air, twin 350s, 6 kW genset, full gally, separate shower, vacuflush, flybridge and cost $22K. These new boats are a joke.

They work very well up to a certain wave size/steepness + speed combination. Reduces pitching/slamming in chop, on what are ultimately very low-density (light weight per hull surface) boats. There is definitely less headroom for coming in waaaay too fast, though. But in boats this light, without suspension seats and harnesses, the motions in bigger waves get so quick and violent you'd mostly back off before that became a serious issue anyway. On heavier, and especially heavier-bow, boats, the more progressive ramp in buoyancy with increased immersion that you get from a traditional bow, becomes more important to prevent stuffing it too badly. Interestingly, at a much larger scale: 30-50 meter ships designed to operate at higher speeds in waves, are seeing some success playing with even more radical "axe" bows now. Where the bow literally reaches down well below the hull behind it back.
