Another way I thought about it is. What if it was a walking simulator style experience. You walk around as the animatronic and all around of you reality mixes with hallucination and memories of the kid you play as. Make it really over the top and one night only and id say you have a good game. Even if it doesn't encompass the main fnaf gameplay routine.
FNAF is an arcade game, which are very hard to innovate and get different perspectives on. It's like playing as the ghosts in Pac-Man, their unique AI is what makes them special.
There could be an online multiplier game like rainbow six sedge where one player is the nightgaurd and the rest of the players are the animatronics, and each round, the players change. Maby
My best idea is to make those simulators MULTIPLAYER GAMES, like you can team up with your friends to attack the nightguard and make a strategy to win while the player as the nightguard just play like any fnaf games. Thats the Best idea
This sounds like an interesting idea. I don't know if it would entirely be boring but it does sound like a cool idea. Also do fnaf multiplayer games count where one player is the guard and the rest are animatronics? The animatronics do play similarly to the simulator games but now a player controls the guard.
Your idea for a fnaf sim sounds great. The thing with these fnaf simulators and all very experimental games is that the execution is what really matters. One thing I’d do in this kinda game is maybe have different buildings which each get more secure and large as you progress through the story. Not to mention make it so you can combine animatronics as well.
I have not watched the video yet, I just came to say that I suggest that the thumbnail is a little misleading, having lefty in the thumbnail makes it seem like the video is a about pizzeria simulator and fan games like it, I suggest you change it to another character to make things more clear
