‘Work’ as a concept to most of us, is quite a formal one. Especially when you think of people like me: the CEO’s or people high up in management - we often picture a very serious person, in business attire, attending meetings and speaking formally to his employees and co-workers.
But over the years I’ve learnt that this maybe isn’t the best approach - especially when dealing with internal crises or stressful situations. But not only that, interaction between employees can be made so much easier and more enjoyable (and in many cases more effective as well) by allowing an element of fun in the workplace.
Whether it be casual Fridays, using emojis in messages or one of our company favourites - GIFs - all of these can contribute to a happier, more open and more productive work environment.
In this week’s video, I discuss the importance of allowing fun in your everyday work, as well as the importance of keeping moving, when you’re on the verge of a crisis.
