Why Glass Onion is a Bad Sequel 

Glass Onion is a great movie, it's fun and it lands the story moments it needs to get the point across and feel sort of like a whodunnit mystery. But, at the end of the day it's more of a whodunnit themed ride. Attentive viewers are not rewarded in particular because compared to the original knives out it's less about being a classic mystery with all the details needed to solve the case given, it's more about exploring the thematic idea of things being a lot simpler than they seem, which lends itself a lot better to the ride type story Glass Onion has. That's not bad in it of itself but I can see why that could be disappointing

I recently watched both movies for the first time, and I immediately loved the first one, and after I saw the second one, I thought “I mean I like it, but it’s not speaking to me like the first one”, so I completely relate to this video. Thanks, Mintrom.

For some reason I actually liked glass onion more than the original

I think that’s the point of glass onion and onion is deep with layers but when it’s glass you see right through it to the middle.

Yes, the only thing that had weight was the lots of expensive stuff that was involved in the plot.
