The biggest feat of Gojo was beating hell out Sukuna inside his own Domain and surviving his domain and still fighting toe to toe with Sukuna while Getting sliced
Not really? Gojo is on the back foot the entire time after his domain collapses, until he gets his techniques back and can catch Sukuna off-guard with his red and short range teleportation. He was at no point "beating hell out Sukuna" in that period
The funny thing is sukuna wasn't using any CT during that exchange if sukuna wasn't using the wheel in the background he could have being using his own cleaves and dismantles in combination with the cleaves and dismantle from the domain essentially doubling his damage.
See thats cause Sukuna was intentionally eating hits while he had the advantage. He literally deactivated his domain amp and let Gojo throw him around in one of the chapters. One of the most downsides of Sukuna getting 10s was that this man had to intentionally eat hits for the adaptation and what better time for than when u have the domain advantage. He wasn't trying to kill Gojo in the domain round, he was trying to pass time for the adaptation. Which is also why he kept attacking the outside of Gojo's barrier even after Gojo strengthened it.
People really can't grasp that sukuna wasn't trying to win until the very end, he wanted to bypass infinity, if sukuna wanted to win he would have played it safe the entire time and most likely just dominate gojo
Something that I like is that Sukuna's base technique is so simple, and even though it's simple he sees so much potential behind it. He is always looking at potential uses for techniques, the same way at the detention center he is upset at Megumi for not using his techniques to the fullest. The same way he is disappointed with Nanakos technique when he learns it's nature and unadaptability, Also the same way he was upset with Jogo for not going truly all out. This is also a small contrast to Kenjaku who always is complimenting his opponents; compliments mai for using conventional weapons, complemented kusakabe for new shadow style, after getting hit by Yuki he smiles at the concept of her technique and its possibilities, he acknowledges higuruma and eventually takaba as well. The only person he is ever really outright uninterested and disappointed in is Choso, because that is his own creation. Kenjaku is never satisfied with his own creations and ability, meanwhile Sukuna knows that they aren't using them to the max potential. Sukuna is the King of Jujutsu because he can take any base principle to its maximum output and he understands the fundamentals to its core.
The point of contention between the fandom is that sukuna had "help" (Lets forget Gojo also did from utahime and gakuganji for that hollow purple). What people dont understand is sukuna was the strongest because he is willing to use any means necessary, with no regard for anyone and anything. The fandom scoffs at how unfair the fight was not understand to sukuna, he is not shackled by anything (including codes of honor in a fight), yet for sukuna he cannot go all out and unveil all he can because this isnt just a gojo vs sukuna fight for him, its an everyone against him, and gojo is just the first in line he has to take out. Is it fair to sukuna to fight a multitude of strong of cursed users back to back after fighting gojo? its a completely one sided veiw, since they are biased, mostly everyone favorite char in jjk is gojo. And for people complaining gojo wasn't able "to go all out" Because of megumi, forgot gojo said he did during his death dream state. Sukuna won from the beginning because he was willing to do everything to stay the strongest while gojo did not. While gojo is a very strong sorcerer, simply he did not have the mentality to go even further beyond.
If only Gojo were someone as amoral, deceitful and hedonistic as Sukuna...then there were indeed many opportunities waiting for him to discover, opportunities for more abundant power! Gojo Satoru truly has brilliant potentials but he still chooses to be shackled by his humanity and belief in certain justice.
I agree with your take for the most part but how was sukuns playing unfair and using any means? He held back and just used his base technique and ten shadows the only things known by everyone else and how is ten shadows unfair compared to limitless and 6 eyes? Like how else did people expect the power about summoning shinigami to help you would match the power of infinity? What we saw the equivalent of goku vs beerus super strong has the most potential still was completely outclassed by a smarter stronger opponent

Since Sukuna went into this fight with more knowledge, trump cards and general mystery about him meanwhile we knew nearly everything about Gojo and his ability, I always thought Sukuna had a big advantage prior. As soon as I saw Sukuna behaving quite passively and reactive in this fight, as almost waiting for something and not revealing any of his previous trump cards and, most importantly, Gojo not ACKNOWLEDGING it in any major way... Well, I was adamant Sukuna would win, the moment Mahoraga slashed Gojou's arm and nobody knew what happened and it just continued further on, it was the boldest indicator of Sukuna victory and the whole landing "Hollow Purple" was a sequence to distract readers from real meat.
although Gojo intentionally showed Sukuna this on his own. He didn’t have to show Sukuna his domain just to flex. And they should’ve treated the fact Sukuna sees everything Yuji does more seriously since Gojo knew he might have to fight him

I don't think showing Sukuna UV was dumb because Sukuna getting free via Yuji didn't seem likely at that point. He couldn't have anticipated Sukuna getting back to full power and getting freed. Frankly, if he know how things were gonna play out he would have just ended Yuji the second he met him.
Im glad i knew sukuna was goin to win just based on how he approached the fight and I became evem more certain when i realized what he was doing through out the fight with a calm analytical demeanor plus gojo wearin toji's fit was a high death flag
Sukuna respecting Gojo at the end was amazing, through out the story Gojo acts as a benchmark everyone should reach and Gojo being sealed helped everyone to get to that level
I agree with most of this video but I don’t think that the reason why they didn’t do any of their big attacks is because that it takes too long. Gojo and Sukuna are literally the most elite sorcerers ever, and with Sukuna’s “god like CE usage” and Gojo’s six eyes, there is nothing that they can’t do in the heat of a battle even against each other. To say a hollow purple would take too long for Gojo to get off is disingenuous. It’s more so the chess match of mahoraga, and not getting adapted to and not wanting to spam attack. Gojo if anything was the one putting the pressure on Sukuna so to say he could hold back even for a second to pull off one of his large attacks is wrong And as for Sukuna it’s more so that Gojo’s infinity wouldn’t allow him to. It would be for no reason as no matter how strong his attacks are, they can’t get past infinity. I personally never saw a place for them to use any “big attacks”. I mean domain expansion is the biggest attack you can possibly muster as it’s the peak of jujutsu sorcery, and they absolutely spammed that until they literally couldn’t.

Gojo may be the most gifted sorcerer in history but Sukuna is the most talented. Sukuna’s strength comes from his unparalleled understanding of Jujutsu, while Gojo has the better technique Sukuna had the better understanding of the what what true Jujutsu is. Sukuna had a plan from the start of the fight and Gojo did push him close to the brink but at the end of the day Sukuna was the better sorcerer.
@@deionn4 They are not the same thing. Gifted refers to once natural gifts they are born with, Gojo’s Infinity. While Sukuna’s talents is his understanding and application of Jujutsu to its fullest which he has to work on.

Gift is an innate feel for a respective task. A gifted student is one who just learns and things come easy for them. A talented student is someone who is highly intelligent. The gifted student tends to be talented. They're not the same but they are rarely found in exclusion. Gojo is a talented sorcerer bc he grasps the fundamentals of jujutsu exceptionally quickly, just like higaruma. But he is also gifted with the innate feel due to the six eyes.
I agree with this statement. Gojo was definitely the most gifted due to his technique and he was also talented bc through his exceptional gift sorcery became very natural for him, he gained a talent for it. He was so talented he was eventually able to perform reversed cursed techniques and all that in a very short lifespan. However, Sukuna was more talented (in battle and in sorcery) having lived for so long and being so experienced he was able to devise a better battle strategy than Gojo. Maybe Sukuna was also innately gifted with something since the beginning, but can it beat Gojo's six eyes? Not likely. Gift and talent can be seen mostly hand in hand bc it's the most natural thing but they are most def not the same.

You explained everything so well. Sukuna also deactivated Domain Amplification inside Gojos Domain from time to time in order to use Ten Shadows to put Mahoragas wheel on Megumis Soul so that Mahoraga can adapt to Gojos Unlimited Void which is why Gojo gave Sukuna that a** whooping in Hand to Hand combat because he cant use Ten Shadows and Domain Amplification at the same time.

I’m excited once this battle gets animated. These animators are going to be extremely busy once they animate these choreographed fight scenes or make extra fight scenes too. I just hope Studio Mappa doesn’t pressure the animators with too much work and give them some consecutive amounts of breaks.
That's just false. Gojo always boasts about being the strongest wheareas sukuna has never called himself the strongest. Gojo even destroyed the inverted spear of heaven and the black ropes as they were a genuine threat to him. He clearly cared about being the strongest.

That’s why everyone says he tanked it because but did that’s why he put his arms up but didn’t realize it was boosted with 200%. So that’s why he lost his arm!

Hollow purple literally erases matter in the atomic level so it negates durability. So sukuna obviously used domain amplification to quote on quote tank it and then dodge it last second
He never used DA to reduce the purple sukuna said himself that use use pure CE reinforcement, think its chap 233 or 234 when he was thinking about purple.
Well wait. Sukuna said he lost two reinforced arms to the Hollow purple. That doesn't mean he can't use D.A. at the same time though. Reinforcing his arms with C.E. on top on top of using D.A. makes the most sense really.

What the point of using Cursed tool or Fire arrows against Gojo again infinity will become hindrance for Sukuna So the best chance of Sukuna winning was just like he did using Maho to adapt the attacks and further to even adapt Infinity

The best way to explain on why sukuna won is best shown in blue lock where the person ego doesn’t stop them from adding stuff to their arsenal sukuna constantly adapted to everything around him while keeping his roots and I think this is something u should learn as person keeping ur roots but constantly growing he says this to jogo before killing him jogo constantly wanted to go back while sukuna still preferring the past it doesn’t stop him from taking information of the current day and learning it without changing his roots heck kashimo says this about the new gen sorcerers they are weaker cuz they forgot the roots while some of the older ones are weak cuz they refuse to adapt this is something sukuna doesn’t have a problem with
Hey Misc, really enjoyed this one as well and wish for people to watch your previous one "What does it take to be the strongest" as I belive these two videos complete each other very well and give a very good overview over this specific fight. I actually agree over most points that you have said especially at the end when you said that Sukuna wanted to leave with something even better than just killing his opponent, which he did. But I think that this wasn't as impressive as you made it look like, Is sukuna very strong, Absolutly! Is his battle iq out of this world, Definitely! But the thing is that I don't belive up to this day that sukuna would've won over gojo even if he had used all his arsenal, For me basically, Limitless and six eyes wielders, used to get killed by ten shadow users, megumi said that no one in history ever was able to get their hands on Mahoraga, So this means that a more capable version of megumi would've possibly been able to defeat gojo, even gojo belived that when he explained to megumi how strong he really was, Coming back to Sukuna, I think that Sukuna since his first encounter with gojo knew that even if he regains his full power that this guy would be a problem, that's when Sukuna was introduced to mahoraga by megumi when Yuji died the first time to the one finger wielder, then fought mahoraga in shibuya realising that actually this shikigami's potential was beyond huge if well used, So I think a correction to your title would be "Why gojo could never defead buffed up Sukuna", I can also think of one or two occasions where gojo could have taken down Sukuna especially after the end of the domains clash, because to me that's when Sukuna was the most vulnerable, after the first black flash is where it goes all down hill, even tho Gojo seemed to have the upper hand, mahoraga was just about as you said to complete it's purpose, and all sukuna needed to do was to stall, which is why as hype as the gojo won chapter was, I was still on the fence knowing that sukuna wouldn't go down that easily, I think my main Idea is there is no way og yuji + sukuna even at 20 fingers would have defeated gojo and sukuna knew that and even admitted to it that it would've been impossible for him to overcome gojo's infinity. Lastly I really belive that people should watch your previous vid as it was very well made and the thinking/reasoning was on point, also the idea behind how to be the strongest would definitely help getting this video even more as it would show that Sukuna as vicious and evil of a mf that he is, He is a genious one, and it will take a lot of work to take him out. The moment Sukuna was in megumis body there should’ve been no doubt he was going to win. If they were already both at equal strength and skill as shown by domain clashes Sukuna then got a direct counter to infinity with mahoraga and the slash that cuts the world afterwards
While I think you skipped over the Black Flashes too quickly (and what they implied) had Sukuna not had Ten Shadows, you made a very good video and great points/arguments throughout! Plus I love how the video flowed from each point and not jumping back and forth. Good job mate.
This is a rare click bait title lol Also its funny seeing some comments in regards to Gojo "getting new abilities that broke the series" when Sukuna did several things that broke the logic of series an no questions it? There's a lot of hyper focus on why Gojo couldn't win, or why he couldn't beat Sukuna. When instead the greater question should be why Sukina shouldn't lose to Gojo specifically.

Did everybody just randomly forget that Gojo got off his domain fair and square once? But Sukuna let Megumi tank the hit. It is a one shot ability. I am NO mean Gojo D rider. I 100% support that he should have lost to Sukuna because then what is the point of the manga. But i feel like the video doesnt do that part justice.
I don't think Megumi "tanked" UV. In chapter 230 Gojo states "Did Sukuna bear the Burden of Adaptation? No... What did that was... Megumi's Soul!" and then it shows a panel of the wheel on Megumi's soul. It doesn't say anywhere that Megumi's soul TANKED Unlimited Void, only that Sukuna swapped the adaptation wheel ONTO Megumi's Soul so that Megumi would take the burden of ADAPTATION, but not the burden of UV itself. Sukuna himself goes on to state "While not using amplification inside a domain, I used ten shadows technique to have Fushiguro shoulder ADAPTATION". Unless I'm mistaken, I cannot find any translation that states Megumi's soul tanked the effects of UV. In fact, if Megumi actually did tank UV then Sukuna himself wouldn't have suffered the consequences of it a few panels later, where it was shown that UV did actually do some damage to him, but not to the extent of virtually any other sorcerer that was ever caught in it, which is an impressive feat in itself.

The other instances in the domain clashes Sukuna was not affected because he was touching Gojo or defending via his own sure hit. What reason would Sukuna have to constantly be touching Gojo in domain clashes to ensure he doesn't get hit by UV if Megumi could just "tank" it in the first place? And when he finally did get hit, he did not have the wheel above his head, indicating that it was still on Megumi. In fact they even showed it on Megumi in the domain clash that affected Sukuna directly, showing that Megumi didn't actually tank it, just shouldered the burden of adaptation. So how was he affected by UV if the wheel was still on Megumi and he was still "tanking" it? That argument doesn't really make any sense.
according to sukunas fight vs mahoraga nad logic ? how are you supposed to start to adapt to a phenomena when you dont experience it ? besides the UV works by overflowing the brain itself which means that even if sukunas soul control the body the brain itself is still affected thats why he suffered the brain damage and couldnt expand his domain.@@WarriorMasterTrainer

He wasn't able to have another soul take the burden of adaptation of any attack so that would just not be applicable here at all. Also Mahoraga is literally the Shikigami that does the adapting. How would Mahoraga in that fight have someone adapt for him when he is literally the Shikigami that does the adapting? It's his ability. That is just not the same thing at all. Your argument doesn't make sense. You are telling me Sukuna suffered the repercussions of tanking UV whilst simutaneously trying to argue that Megumi himself actually tanked it. How would that work? If Megumi tanked it why would Sukuna feel the affects of UV? Makes no sense. If Sukuna is taking the effects of UV (the overflow of information into the brain) then what is Megumi tanking? You are just arguing with things that have not even been said in the manga. The manga states that the sure hit effect of UV was negated by Sukuna's sure-hit effect. Sukuna turned off his Sure hit effect in one of the domain clash (chapter 227) and thus touched Gojo to avoid being hit by it (The narrator even states this in Chapter 227). The narrator states "...By removing his sure-hit guarantee inside the domain. While, simultaneously keeping himself safe from 'infinite void' by touching Gojo Satoru directly" If Megumi was able to "tank" it as you say, why is the narrator explicitly saying that Sukuna was KEEPING HIMSELF SAFE by touching Gojo satoru? It would be completely unnecessary if Megumi would just "tank" it for him. Edit: Final nail in the coffin. In chapter 230 Gojo states "But I bet you only had him shoulder the process of ADAPTATION and not the results" in reference to Megumi. Meaning that as I stated earlier, Megumi was only used to allow Mahoraga to adapt to unlimited void. He literally even said that Megumi didn't shoulder the results of UV (the overflow of information, which is what makes UV so powerful because it basically incapacitates individuals hit with it) because Sukuna did.
Sukuna fought without a technique vs the most broken technique for most of the fight and people downplayed his performance. Pushed someone he could hardly hit to his limits. Sukuna is goated bruh, out of 13 chapters we can count maybe 8 panels gojo took damage and sukuna got the job done

Sukuna was trynna adapt the ten shadows the entire fight and in order to adapt you need to take the hit. So if you missed that entire point the yeah it’ll seem he didn’t do anything.
thats because you arent even reading the fight. throughtout the entire fight its shown sukuna is trying to adapt to blue, red, neutral, purple and unlimited void sure hit of infinity.
I actually love the two different approaches both Gojo and sukuna take. Well I had to learn to love it as I wanted to see them just straight throw hands and techniques. But you learn to appreciate the fight over time. Just let the wound heal and appreciate both Gojo and sukuna as great characters.
Sukuna didn't use the other CT because he knew it would be pointless do to none of them being able to change the target like cleave and dismantle if he did he would basically be throwing away CE like its trash because it was pointless
That whole angle of Sukuna having the purpose of evolving is so nutty lol. It wasn’t some preconceived goal it was literally his only option if he wanted to survive lol. He was going to end the fight after the initial Mahoraga reveal he had multiple ideas on how he was going to approach the fight. He spent his 30 days powering up, planning, and making sure he was at his best for because he knew the threat Gojo was. He was confident in his own fighting ability but he had to go through Gojo dismantling every idea he could come up with on his own and Mahoraga was his 2nd to last trump card. He literally begged for Mahoraga to come through during the match and even though people believe you can just modify your curse technique however you want to, we will see you can’t and that Sukuna had to have a trade off for his slashes. If Mahoraga failed then his final trump card was that he could restore all the damage to his body and hopefully use that to deceive his way into victory. For the students his trump card was the cursed tool since even if he was burnt out from fighting Gojo he could use that to wipe them all out based off of how strong he knew they were before the fight. It was a good fight both of them went tooth and nail considering their positions and for the sake of the plot and shounen credibility sensei had to lose.

He could easily telepory out of there and then heal and come back. Sukuna also would not have access to ten shadows anyway. Taking away infinity will show how pointless Gojo would be against Sukuna tho. The only reason Gojo was able to overpower others is because of Infinity. Even his domain wont save him from people who are strong as Sukuna. So Sukuna choosing not to go all out just to learn how to improve his own techniques from his enemies techniques is a sign that he is indeed the one who actually understood true Jujutsu.

If gege ever shows what happened between the hollow purple nuke and the go/jo slash I honestly think having a weaker shikigami be the thing that allows sukuna to get off the slash that defeats gojo would be pretty fitting Having gojo be so focused on the only two things he believed could ever harm him only for it to be revealed that one of the shikigami he dissimed as "not being able to keep up" end up being the key to his defeat It could also be a chance to explain how the original "Ten shadows Vs infinity + six eyes" user battle that gojo told megumi about ended in mutual destruction despite maharoga not being tamed when it happened
I'm sorry, but this is a terrible take. As soon as Mahoraga showed Sukuna how to bypass infinity, killing Gojo would be simple. We know plain as day that the last Limitless Six Eyes user died against Mahoraga. Meaning the last user either played around for too long, or was simply weaker than Satoru since Infinite Hollow was the only way to stop an offensive from Mahoraga who had already adapted somewhat. Go/Jo's death is similar to how Jogo died. Offscreened, just another dead opponent to Sukuna. Even if he would be remembered, Go/jo fell to Sukuna as countless had before him.
And inside the domain sukuna only use dismantle not cleave if he modified his cleave to be more powerful the fight would be finished in the 1st domain battle....but sukuna didn't people tend to forget sukuna have a goal to improve not just to kill gojo

Gojo goal wasn’t trying to kill sukuna he was trying to restrain him. Which is why the hollow purple didn’t vaporize his body he wanted megumi back, unfortunately he wasn’t strong enough to do either.

The best sorcerers are con artists something gojo struggles to be he’s the self proclaimed honored one everything about him stands out he can’t hide anything. He could never beat sukuna because he can’t con sukuna he can’t hide his overwhelming ability he can’t hide within his plan because he doesn’t plan (not entirely true but in terms of raw fighting he doesn’t really plan much as shown his hollow purple at the end was engineered on the spot almost random to say the least) so there wasn’t much he could do force his opponents hand when he himself is on display at all times. Sukuna knew all his abilities his whole character was known while gojo who clearly from the beginning if go back was lost and in a bit of awe of sukuna not just because he was strong but because he didn’t know how to reach him. He didn’t truly understand him and was played from the jump sukuna made him think that he was a calamity and insane force of nature then in there fight he completely destroyed that idea by going into his shell and literally hiding in the shadows while sukuna had everything figured out from the jump and was only taken aback by gojos raw ingenuity which in a sense was random and very blatant like oh he needs purple to kill me but can’t land a charged focus one so what does he do use purple anyways 😂 if u understand what I’m saying. He can’t con his way to victory therefore he could never con sukuna into a loss like he did to gojo.
And even we look at sukuna in his true form everything stated about him from him being insanely aggressive and being a calamity is never stated by him and when we look at how he fights in the newest chapters he doesn’t simply kill all the current sorcerers he plans and analyzes there ability even if he is truly overwhelming stronger than them

We always kind of knew Sukuna was stronger than gojo, we had hints throughout the series, sukuna was the strongest of the golden age , while gojo was the strongest of the age of mostly mediocre sorcerers(not to discredit gojo ), Hana/angel said if sukuna finds another way pass infinity without amplification he would had won long ago. When gojo declared he would win , kenjaku scoffed as if it was a joke, kenjaku knows how strong both gojo and sukuna are, and kenjaku knows sukuna is stronger to the point he even think a 15 finger sukuna might be able to pull something off as a contingency plan, it was also stated he was holding back several times.
While this video was really good, I think never stood a chance is a little harsh, after gojo started hitting black flashes sukuna lost the control of the fight he once had, had mahoraga not hurried up like he did sukuna was actually nervous about black flash amped Gojo he genuinely thought if gojo stayed in the flow state he was actually about to kill him.
I had an argument with someone who genuinely believed Kenjaku is dead and Yuta 1 shot speed blitzed him and because of this even if it was a full 1v1 Yuta perception blitz’s Kenjaku and 1 shots. I need Kenjaku to come back into the story because that dude was so annoyingly stupid for thinking Kenjaku a literal brain is dead from getting his head cut off Maybe I am just coping but I better get to see Yuta vs Kenjaku fight just spamming Curse techniques lmao Such a waste of 2 of the coolest characters if this doesn’t happen
Gege: writes a top-tier fight with a forgone and obvious conclusion, but writes it so well that it gives you hope for the person you knew would lose while simultaneously giving you all the info required to see the outcome, masterfully causing the fight to actually become even better with hindsight. G*j* fans: and I took that personally.
People knew he was gonna lose, people loved the fight, and if the ending was handled better, I doubt there would've been as much outrage. It's not the fact that he lost that they're annoyed about, it's the contradiction in his character from the airport scene, telling us that he doesn't care about other people while also having him go out of his way to save people like Yuji and Yuta as well as teaching in order to change the system of jujutsu into a more progressive one. Telling us that he would've lost even if Sukuna didn't have Ten Shadows, even when throughout the fight itself they were depicted having a constant back and forth.

But seriously tho in the chapters after to do the world cutting slash Sukuna had to do a chant so this means gojo just stood there while Sukuna did it while seeing the spark of the technique and just got bisected without trying simple or amplified domain with his 120% buff. My head canon is gojo was just tired and wanted to die or no chant is required for the first time slash cause he could have just teleported away at anytime like what Sukuna said

Gojo's death scene was really good and he never said he doesn't care about people. He specifically says that he loves everyone and doesn't feel lonely now but he drew a line between him and everyone other living creature. I think most people are upset about it because Gojo died and that's it. You can have real problems with the story and how things were handled but I don't see people bringing up valid points its mostly just people misunderstanding, misremembering, or just making up what actually happened
@@KingKahoThe only alternative way I would think Sukuna could've won, considering what we currently know about Sukuna's abilities, is by restoring his brain damage through incarnation, since Gojo wouldn't be able to retaliate with his own domain, but I can admit that I'm wrong about the fact he didn't have other ways of winning. I will say, the death scene part depends on interpretation, either they're in the afterlife and Nanami genuinely says Gojo doesn't care about anyone, with him not denying it, or it's a dream and Gojo is telling himself that he only ever cared about fighting, when it's a major part of his character that he wants to help others grow to surpass him.

Im of the opinion that A. Any "fan" of a character that argues for them in spite of obvious story implications isnt all there, but, B. Its just...logically bothering me that these sukuna guys are still totally by and large misunderstanding things. Him winning is so clearly The Move, but man; Remember when "sukuna felt unease/fear for the first time in a 1000 years?" I think Gojo _was_ dominating that fight, while losing at the same time. Namely, because Gojo is fundametally "stronger," and Sukuna is smarter. Sukuna always should've won. For story reasons, drama, the fact that hes been actually preparing for a long time. BUT he also benefitted from some unique circumstances; while its seemingly objective that his other tools would've done jack, his ability to funnel UV into megumi is simply something he would've been unable to do in his original body. Likewise, he wouldnt have had a full heal waiting afterwards. And lastly, he _barely_ unlocked the secrets to defeat infinity with Mahoraga as a guide, its _incredibly dubious_ he would've been able to do it in time on his own. Anyways, Sukuna, as impossibly baller and deserving as he is, had some major factors going for him. Heian Sukuna ain't winning that same fight.

Well it's more that Mahroaga used Sukuna's abilities. Sukuna says how he just copied Mahoraga's use of Dismantle. Which is something nobody could have seen coming since nothing had done it before. The world cutting attack is just a specialized Dismantle from Sukuna.

Sakuna has likely seen many projidys like Gojo come and go when Gojo has only ever faced one sakuna or someone of his caliber. Gojo has potential and talent but sakuna has experience and talent. Every one was just so fodder compared to Gojo in the modern day age that he could never truly realized his potential. The traditional values of the heads of jjk society also caps itself in having such talent by placing so much emphasis on potential rather than application. Gojo lost because he had no one to grow with. Sakuna and Toji demonstrating his stagnation. Sakuna had to show Gojo this not by overwhelming him as a heian era king of curses but in the form of sorcerer through his application an understanding of Juijitsu sorcery. This is what happens whan a projidy meets a master. Sakuna only not likely killing Gojo outright to gain greater insight and enlightment for the sake of his own craft. Something he has been crafting for over 1000yrs.

Completely incorrect. Sukuna used it almost instantly against Maho with very little charge up. He never lost a fair H2H even once. Sukuna deactivated DA so he couldn’t hit Gojo inside the domain clash which is why he lost. Gojo said as much.

Even tho current sukuna has more curse energy and raw power, w/o his ability to adapt w mahoraga and the had of the 10 shadows, Gojo could’ve ended the battle at many points. Yes sukuna was trying to surpass the limitless technique, but he didn’t gain the ability of slashing through it until mahoraga adopted the technique over the coarse of the fight. He would’ve had to stick to his domain in order to pass through the limitless, and we’ve clearly seen that wouldn’t be an optimal strategy since both him and gojo would be unable to use DE anymore(Btw this is all being said before we see all of sukunas abilities so this statement can be retracted)
He still has his "open" technique and with chanting he can puch his DE power output to 120%. Just looking at what gojo could do after landing his first blackflash in the fight can hint at how powerful a 120% boost really is.

this fight had so many layers to it, I'm suprised how many fans were reading it at such a basic, such a superficial level and then complain when gojo dies, calling it an asspull
It just tells that people will also be biased and push their own agendas without even realizing or understanding the m context and the many layers behind character's reasoning and decisions.
This fight has two or three layers to it which is why it's surprising it went over so many people's head when it was actually quite simple. (Me included lmao. I took everything Kusakabe said at face value) Except it actually wasn't. It was intentional. Blame the lack of internal dialogue on Sukuna's part and Kusakabe's yapping serving for intentional misdirection. It's like a magic trick. You wanna know how I know it isn't that great though? I'm not amazed even when I know the answer. Those feel like pretty cheap narrative tools rather than hidden layers. Once you understand Gege likes to write from the loser's POV, literally everything makes sense. It's a fun way to write a fight, but what the story does with it is highly overrated by people who praise it. And it doesn't even "fix" a lot of the things I dislike about the fight. It just makes me appreciate what I already did more. My mind is basically completely unchanged on reread.
