WHY Grant is NOT Playing in the Midwest Open? 

Look what showing up to the last one did for Ben Kruper.

The reason is these guys don't want to play because the first one didn't show anyone. Why would you spend your money to fly out there for no coverage?

2 reasons these events are lacking, are firstly, these should be for creators ONLY. #2 is THESE ARE NOT OPENS, THEY’RE INVITATIONALS. We’re on a mission to get our channel bigger so that we can create or help create a RU-vid Tour for CREATORS, but we’ll have ACTUAL OPENS, and qualifying into the events.

Why would any of the major content creators (Grant, Micah, BDS, Rick Shiels, Peter Finch, Bryan Bros, BustaJack, or any others with subscribers > 100K) want to be in a Good Good infomercial? They don't need Good Good. The only ones who need Good Good are the minor creators and lap dogs like Nate the Good Good PR dude. There's growing hatred toward Good Good (not Garrett himself, just the corporate Good Good brand) from other creators. Don't get caught in the middle of it or you will get squashed like a little bug.

Rick probably won't be playing in many of these. He's not confident enough in his game. He doesn't want the Micah treatment of playing poorly then getting smashed online.

Are they doing a Good Good Championship again this year like the one in Arizona about this time last year? I remember them saying the final 12 were all invited back for the next one, but havent heard anything about one yet.

Hi there! Just watched your latest podcast and can understand your thinking behind wanting the best creators there, but being from the uk myself I can understand that it’s a long way to go and at a great expense and time for the uk based content creators not to have a fair share of coverage whether playing well or not ! I love all the collaboration stuff between them all but would you come to the uk yourself with potentially no major content coming your way ? It’s a tricky one 🤷‍♂️

It was bad before...without those content creators it will be unwatchable. Good Good has become Bad Bad...

I agree I think it discourages regular players when you start putting those type of good players on there and people that’s played semi pro And why would I spend money? I don’t have to go there and not build my channel because were RU-vidrs isn’t that what we’re there for to play golf and build a channel

It should definitely be creator based. Instead of having the semi pro's play they should send invites to smaller/ up and coming creator's. I also don't like the whole peacock tie in, but I get it! I also really don't think its worth it for the bigger creator's. Like what's in it for them? What can they gain from this?

The issue with the good good core members is that they do not have golf pedigree, they have not played high level, competed high level, they are not instructors, they don’t care much about equipment. They are more so entertainment and they tap a different market than other creators. Imagine a Good Good comprised of Garrett, Grant, Bryan Bros and Dalke. All talented golfers. The brand would be so much stronger in the golf world.

their going to put camera's on the main groups.. and im sure thats not what a lot of us want. i hope they can split up camera time a little more this time. Some of the bigger creators do not need the publicity.. so the bigger ones wil not come out.

After the first event and the Q, no way Finchy comes and Rick just doesn’t see the need and/or doesnt feel like it’s a good fit for him. Easy for them to Jointly opt out

I would watch live if it was stroke play on a par 72 tbh. Like a RU-vid open/masters feel.

British creators aren't coming because they are trying to get ready to qualify for the British Open, which begins the following week. They want to work on their prep at home and not have jet lag.

Sounds like another scramble format tournament...that's a fun game, not competitive golf. I'm sure I'm not the only one getting tired of the silly fun golf matches. Can still be a team comp but at least play best ball then... So why would creators waste time and money on that when you know Good Good will get most of the coverage...?

I hate to admit it but I believe RU-vid golf is saturated in this space and a lot of creators are feeling a little down tick in views and thus it’s a little harder to afford the premium content

The first tournament was awful. I didn't know or care who the top 15 players were. They were professionals and weren't RU-vidrs. You only got to see the RU-vidrs for one hole most of the time. The tournament was about getting publicity for Good Good.

Rick isn’t playing because it really isn’t promoting his channel. He is also at best an average golfer when it comes to the current new RU-vidrs coming into popularity. Let’s face it, Ben Kruper was really not a face in YT until he won at Grass Clippings. Now he has been on everyone’s channel.

I would really only watch if MrGolf and Paige are there. Honestly, don't care if Micah and Grant aren't there though NO Rick Shiels is a let down.

They got beat in their Good Good tournament recently. Probably finally realizing they are RU-vid golfers & not Kornferry possible golfers. It’s a HUGE jump so they making more $$$$ on YT.

Perhaps the dreadful output last time has put off some content creators, GG are desperate to hack into other subscriber bases, but that’s a two way process, so what does GG bring to the party? Not much it would seem, lastly it’s broadcast on a pay per view channel, who gets the kickback?

I don't see it as a RU-vid golf creator event. I see it as a Good Good event. It's purpose is to promote and grow Good Good. Grant as an example. He now owns a stake in Primo. Why would he want to be in an 8 hour long Good Good commercial? Bryan Bros flat out asked Garrett for a collaboration at the last event. Garrett said sure. It never happened.

Non participation never pays off! Some golf content creators will get left behind no matter how big they think they are. The game of golf is bigger than any one individual...

Open qualifying is why they are not playing

Channels like Grant and Rick don't need to network, anybody in YT golf would go out of their way to collaborate with those two. With that said...who wants to watch some mini tour/KFT stud that nobody's ever heard about, beat our favorite creators? We already got that with the Myrtle Beach qualifier and I can't remember for my life who George went into a playoff with. First open had a great field, the only complaints consisted of our inability to watch them actually play.

Bottm line is that we watch these channels to see the creators act like us, not act like the pros. And play with hot chicks....

Something is fundamentally going on at Good Good? They always seem to loose there good players and the content is getting stale. Content creators are aware of this and have moved on to new or trusted content. Good Good is for the younger audience, the older audience prefer to watch fun but (quality golf) not kids playing in the Park.

I enjoyed Grant and Garrett. That’s it. Once they expanded, no. Cannot STAND Good Good. Sorry Matt, I just don’t care.

All these Good Good haters on here wow. This is why these people are not playing, because like these haters, they do not like success. Good Good with fewer subs consistently does better than Rick Shields and many others.

Good Good is just growing stale. Same challenges, same colabs, and same courses. They need someone organizing trips, working with courses, room blocks in hotels and researching destinations not on the fly planning.

I think some of these guys don't want to be further exposed as mediocre "pro" golfers. French Lick is a tough, long course. Far as extra content, they could possibly go to Crooked Stick or Brickyard Crossing. Still on the fence if I'm gonna go 🤔

Jealousy

The last one GG did was awful.. They started the broadcast too late at night when most of the field was already finished.. It was a crappy par 3 course, terrible coverage, freezing cold, pitch dark, no organization, just looked like a jumbled mess. I'm not surprised all the best non GG players have refused to come to this next pile of garbage.

Micah Morris isnt good enough

Rick has a big fear of playing with large crowds watching. The Desert open had big crowds and so will this tournament. I think Rick is just making excuses because he scared to get out there in front of everyone.

I really really enjoy youtube golf content but this I have no interest in just like the last one they did. Don't know why but it just doesn't interest me

because they all have got too big for there boots they don’t care about golf or subscribers, when was the last time you seen a creator play a subscriber, give the average golfer on minimum wage a chance to play a course the couldn’t otherwise afford , i imagine the highest base of there audience, i don’t like or comment on any vids anymore apart from golf mates a vloger whos keeping it real if he puts a tournament on its for his subscribers, when did you tube golf become about quality i can watch sky sports for that, most creators aren’t that special we all have players at our club that are scratch its all just become about money ruined in my opinion

I’ll answer all those questions for you Mr Good Good Lover. The bums at Good Good don’t help other channels, why help them. They have seen Good Good turn down other’s events and they ain’t helping those bums anymore. It does not benefit the greater good silly, it benefits the Good Good. One day you will understand in business it must be a win-win situation. Without Bryan Bros, Bustajack, Micah, Grant, Peter, Shiels that event is a flop.

Stop talking for heavens sake! Their last one was a big fail. Nobody in their right mind would go to an event that only show good good and their closest friend. Foul me once shame on you foul me twice shame on me.

Not a rick shiels hater, but let’s be real, he’s not playing because he’s just not as good as many of the RU-vid golfer’s like Kwan, Horvat, Bryan Bros, Perez, even his UK buddy Pete. He just doesn’t want to look bad and hurt the credibility of his videos. I believe he can shoot low scores but not consistently enough that he’s willing to risk it.

Those creators not going will IMO pop up on GM golf channel down the track in sometime but not against GG. They will hurt the GG brand because MOST of those creators are much better golfers🇦🇺🦘🪃🇦🇺🦘🪃
