Hey guys if you're reading this make sure to subscribe! I make tons of Halo content that you will definitely enjoy! I also plan on doing a lot more of these types of videos. Stay Notable, LTN
Luke TheNotable hey man, loving the content bro. If you're live streaming soon, you could maybe check out my recent upload (which took me ages), as I have barely any subs and so get hardly any views. Thanks man!
Will do! Dear Luke, excellent video as always and a very nice effort went into your Mythic (LASO) attempt! Here's what I would recommend. When starting out for the first time, start with Floodgate. It's the easiest mission by far. Second, be sure to check out my walkthroughs on Halo.Bungie.org. I have two versions of my guide for conquering Halo 3 on Legendary with all skulls on, and I even have a few missions I started a couple of years ago for the "LASO Challenge" (all skulls on sans Blind per Bungie's rules). Hope it helps, and I look forward to seeing more of these! :-) Floodgate LASO Challenge: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rr2RJRqMHaw.html Halo LASO Challenge: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YMbLQYMYGFg.html
Be MOe id be one of them but aint no way putting myself through that hell. im good just beating all the halos on legendary solo. i don't go further than that my friend
A lot of people would have taken advantage of an exploit that was present at launch. (assuming it was fixed, I haven't played in a long time) You could just play the last level of each game LASO and still get the achievements. 4 is the only game that I ever fully committed to with all skulls.
+Syndicate Bias, same here, I could do it over the summer if I really really cared to do it but I just don't, sometimes things are just a waste of time and that's one of them
Let's be honest, here... the reason why most people don't play LASO is because of Blind. Famine, Mythic, even Iron can be worked around by playing conservative. But Blind? Good luck...
Only partially. That tells you where your aim actually is, yes, but you still don't have the rest of your HUD (ergo, you're without radar, shield/health bar, ammunition counter, grenade indicator, etc), which is vital info
Exactly. I thought this was going to be a cool Halo discussion video comparing the difficulty of various Halo games on LASO. Nope, just boring game play with almost no redeeming qualities. He hardly included any strategic recommendations.
Kyle that's because he thinks regular legendary is so hard that you *have* to skip sections to begin with lol He says right in the video that he thinks it's almost impossible (it's not, just very unforgiving) and frequently complains about legendary difficulty xD
Halo 2 was the best/worst for skulls. Just finding them randomly really changed your game but not being able to turn them off without a restart made it hard. Imagine picking up a skull, not knowing what it was and suddenly everything is 3x harder, or your HUD disappears, so you restart the level and nothing changes. It was amazing
ah yes. halo 3 laso. i remember when me and my friend did that, we both broke our mics those nights and i severely damaged my controller. BUT. we did it.
I can kinda cheat the skull that disables the HUD and being able to view your gun. So on my monitor, I can go into settings and put on a custom crosshair.
Luke on that mission when you go into the structer switch both ur weapons with other ones so when you come back they won't despawn in your hands, but be outside and you can go pick them up :) its something i did when i tried to do a Shotgun-Bazuka run only i had to let the arbiter help me come back on out of the structer and i whacked :3
A couple weeks ago I pulled off the Halo 2 LASO campaign, but because my internet is disconnected, no one will ever believe me. But I have the PTSD from jackal snipers to prove it. Metropolis was absolute hell and took me around two weeks to get through, (my play time is limited and I'm also not exceedingly skilled at Halo to begin with), but I eventually managed to pull through it by myself. I wanted to prove to myself that I could do it, because a friend and I did it back on the original Halo 2 back when we were younger kids and much better at the game. Naturally, it's much harder without someone holding your hand - and, as you mentioned, it tests your patience like nothing else. But it's kind of motivating to know that I can pull that kind of crazy shit off by just persevering and being patient enough to keep trying.
Luke: “Time to do a LASO halo 3 video, that’s definitely going to end well.” *after many tries and getting to the monitor battle.* LN: “Alright, the easy part, I am not going to die. I don’t even remember dying to him.” *after doing some stupid shit and MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY death and regrets* LN: “Why did I do this?”
Hey Luke, this is your dad here. i just wanted to say how proud of you i am son, always hiding in your room playing your video games, talking to your internet friends. your mom and i think that's well and we just wanted to let you know we love you.
Black eye is actually useful in some halo missions, like in “Cortana” in halo three, because it’s so close quarters and it’s hard to find cover to let your shields regen
I've SLASSO'ed every available Halo Game to date. It's all about how fast you can move, how well you can adapt to different unexpected situations, memorizing enemy spawn locations and movements in each area, and how well you can pull off Speedrun Tactics.
I remember playing Halo Reach LASO with my friend back in the day. You could waste an entire Spartan Laser on an elite and not kill it. It was basically Assassinate the Elites, kill as many grunts as possible, and run for your life while hoping for a checkpoint.
I don’t know why I watch all those Halo Videos I only play Europa Universalis4 or HOI4 maybe civ ic/v sometimes but I think they’re interesting so keep it up bro❤️
I did H3 LASO with my friend. It took a while, but you have to break down each fight to an exact science. However, I could not imagine having the Iron skull in solo; restarting the level would be crazy.
''Suicide is never the answer kids, except when you're playing legendary all skulls on, then suicide is, well it's probably your best option to be honest.''-LTK 22:30
+Luke TheNotable If you want to cheese the Iron Skull, then *right after* you die, before the death animation plays, pause the game and select "Revert Checkpoint". (I *KNOW* that this works on Halo Reach (being played on the Xbox 360 NOT the Xbox One's MCC version).)
If you save and quit right when you die in Halo with the Iron skull, when you restart, it continues from the checkpoint. Then you don’t have to start from the beginning each time you die.
You can remedy the "no reticule" problem by cutting a tiny tiny square of a posted not out and sticking it to the center of your screen. Worked for me in Ninja Gaiden Black.
Biggest issue I've had is not knowing what your ammo count is especially cut in half The last part of Halo 3 is the hardest mission of Halo 3, there isn't any skipping and everything kills you very very quickly
What do you use to record the game footage? Is it an app that you can download on the Xbox itself? I've got the original Xbox One (as in, the first Xbox One, not the Xbox One X or S), and I'd like to be able to record long stretches of footage like this, but I don't know what to use or how to do it.
I've been doing the LASO campaigns for the past month now and found them not be as bad as I once thought. Typically the first mission of each campaign is the hardest as you adjust the skulls and find your rhythm. Without a doubt Blackeye is the worst skull.
Halo Difficulties: Easy: This is for non gamers or those that want it easy. Normal: This is for those that mostly want to experience the story but the enemies to put up some resistance Heroic: You will die regularly your first time but it's not hard at all as an experienced gamer. Legendary: You need both solid strategy and skill to beat this. LASO: This is for those that are sadistic or enjoy being forced to be perfect.
the answer to why this is hard and near immposible is because it's hard enough on Legendary, but with all skulls on you have no hud and can't see your weapon so you need to be cautious with health and guess your ammo, guns drop half ammo so you need to know how much they would drop then, and those are the basics of it.
