Does the person have goals and personal passion projects? In a crisis, will the person actually be supportive or will they expect me to do all the relationship work? Are they assuming that it's my job to take care of them, to assume a traditional gender role that I abhor? Will they do their part or expect me to do it all? These were the kinds of things, I used to think about back when I was willing to date. I consider my time and life valuable and precious and I've wasted too much of it already on selfish people that drained my energy, kindness, finances, and time. The guy could be as gorgeous as Cillian Murphy or Christopher Reeves and it would mean nothing to me if he was just another narcissistic looking for a fresh supply of adulation and attention. So to the question of whether women are intimidated by attractive men, I know that I am not. That doesn't impress me, nor does having a massive bank account. The outward trappings men think women want are less important than the quality of the soul living in that body. I know that men aren't intimidated by attractive women, so why should women be intimidated by attractive men. Anyway, if women are intimidated by something so unimportant, maybe move on to someone with substance.
