First off, let me say that I am a girl, actually a 46 year old mom and not a knife person and I have spent 2 days completely nerding out on Mora knives. Why? I really don't know, but I think they are so damn cool that I have bought 9 in the last 24 hours and they will be stocking stuffers. In fact, I have fully decided my 3 children and their significant others and all their children will be getting knives every xmas for the rest of my life. Great freaking gifts. I'll just use mine in the kitchen and for whittling when we go camping. My ballet dancing daughter, well she will just be a badass with a cool collection. Yay!!!
Will you adopt me? Might be a little odd...I'm 16 years older than you! Hey, a tip I learned from someone from England: Give some coins with the gift of a knife--so that you'll never exchange "sharp" words!!
Love the eldris, got it to be a pocket fixed blade. It makes a great utility knife, or a little fire prep knife. Flat ground spine has a 90 degree angle on the edges, works well with a ferro rod and sharp enough to shave off of a magnesium block. Wouldn't choose it as my primary knife, but at 2 ounces, awesome secondary knife. I have a hunter friend that says he likes it for skinning game. Probably adequate but not ideal for that job. Mora knives are my favorite!
I might have missed it, but the spine is sharpened to a 90° angle for striking a ferro-rod & if you get the kit it comes with a decent one! My friend bought us the kit version shortly after they were released and I think it's a nice outfit for what it can do.
I have my Mora Trinity, the Garberg, Kansbol and Eldris 😊plus my two companions, orange and green HD, plus my wood carving basic and my 120 wood carver.
I love this knife. I have the black color one, it's a great do all kinda knife, love the knife great review and for ever one have a great thanksgiving.
I have the blue handled one. It is real comfortable. It is too thick for a neck knife. For the size, weight, and price Mora has some options I like better. It does have a good sheath though. It is still really good for the money.
The pack come with some rope for a necklace an the leather is a strap to keep the knife in the holsters an has a hole for u to tie the rope to an connect a flint rod with it. I just got it as my second mora knife my son got my old one an loves it.eldris is my pocket knife. Great video.
If u want better grip u can turn it around and use the sheet and push in the handle in it and u get a longer handle to grip on. Very handy when u do more extensive knife work with it.
I feel like for me it was worth getting the eldris for the price compared to cheaper bigger moras is because it's more EDC friendly. I walk all over my city with an orange Mora eldris and I don't get any funny looks and negative reactions. It kinda doesn't look like traditional knife when sheathed and work as necklace. I live in NY too so people are generally not too happy about the sight of big knives. And for it's size, it's a work horse 💛 Telling people now to not underestimate this knife just because it's small. This small knife bites BIG
Merry Christmas to you and your family Shane. Where did you find a strong enough black ball and chain necklace? All I can find are the flimsy silver ones. Thanks for the channel, interesting and entertaining and I sometimes even learn something cool.
really wish they offered a plastic sheath with a belt clip like the companion does. id love to clip this little guy to my belt and have a fixed blade on me that is totally hidden under an untucked shirt. the companion sheath pokes out just a little bit.
I wish Mora did more full-tang knives. The lack of a full tang is my one complaint about the Moras I own. You probably don't need the full tang as much with a knife this small, though.
I wish this knife had the scandi grind run the whole length.. I’m sure it doesn’t affect functionality but I just think it would be more visually appealing if it did..
