Why I am no longer a Coach for WW (formerly Weight Watchers) 

I'm so sorry this happened, WW has changed over the years and not for the better. I left when they seemed to focus on their celebrity personalities, that type of representation doesn't come cheap. Please take time to adjust to this new reality and know that we are all here for you.

I feel this is a huge loss for WW. You have been a wonderful inspiration for me personally on my journey and I know you were a great motivator for your WW Studio. I’m glad to know you are still going to be sharing your recipes and experiences. Thank you for all you do for all of us! This is just a bump in the road and things will look up! Keep smiling!

I’m sorry for what you’re going through. Your job with WW has been a meaningful part of your life and one you’ll have to grieve the loss of. I hope you get an opportunity to have some closure with your members. Remember that you still have a family here on RU-vid. ❤️

I lost weight in 2004 and thankfully kept my materials. I went back a few times over the years, but I realized I was looking for the interaction and support. I found each time that all they did was change points around in my opinion and after a few times signing up I decided to turn back to my original plan from 2004 and it still works with good results. I just got tired of celebrity over shadowing members. I just found your videos and please know what your doing matters a lot more that a monthly fee and some celebrity telling me how to and what to eat. Thank for taking the time to do these videos to help others be inspired. Really liking your recipes so far. 😃

Kim, this is such sad news. I do believe that WW will re-evaluate and I hope you will return at some point. There is going to be a big surge of members needing coaches like you when COVID calms down and we all feel we can return to workshops. You’ve been a real inspiration and will be missed. ❤️🥲❤️

We're just sad this happened to you. We had a Sunday group and we became a Sunday zoom group that eventually got cancelled. WW is a business and they run it like a business. We think of WW as a family. So it feels bad not to know how our friends are doing. We think of you as family too on our weight loss journey. You may not have the title from WW. But you are our coach. ♥️

So very 😞sorry. Seems like WW is taking the "heart" out of the journey for many. Best wishes.

Kim, I am thrilled to have found you today. I am heart broken, my studio is now gone. I have lost over 80 lbs and want to stay a lifetime member but feel disappointed and let down by the WW franchise. I have a feeling you will still continue to help people on your own using the vast knowledge you have learned over the years........

I left WW a few months ago but continue to enjoy your channel. I hope you continue to post videos. I would miss you if you decided not to post any longer.God bless you and keep you safe

Same exact thing happened to my favorite coaches after 20 years of service. I miss them. WW will never be the same without the dedicated people they let go. We love you & your channel. I look forward to all your videos.

So sorry to hear this. I don’t know you, but saw this title and because of what happened with our WW franchise, was curious. I am in Alabama and have been going to WW here since 1985. My current journey started in late 2018 and I re connected with the Coach I loved and had been with for +20years.. because I’m retired I have to been able to lose and keep it off...no work, family balance stress etc...a different mindset. We came back to in person coaching in July and we were thrilled to be back together again. Things were finally starting to get back to normal when,in November, she announced that she was retiring. Now granted, she is 81 and dang, the youngest 81 I have ever known...she wouldn’t let on if it was her choice, because that’s the kind of upbeat lady she is. Unfortunately now the only daytime leader we have uses her coaching platform as a preacher and while I am not against professions of faith, I think it’s a very personal thing and didn’t want going to WW to be a prayer session or a sermon. So now I do weighin only on the only day she isn’t there. I zoom with several of my group who have left for the same reason. And with my sister’s group. What I truly don’t like is the direction WW is taking with all the young cheerleaders. Every online program looks like a peloton commercial. I understand “business” and wanting to make WW relevant for younger people, but members over 50 should have some relevance too. I will probably not go back to studio meetings, but won’t use that as an excuse to change or drop the WW plan that has worked so well for me. I’ve always believed when one door closes, another opens, so I know you will come out of this in a better place. Hang in and I’ll keep supporting you😘

As long as your channel is still available you can still serve your group members. I am so sorry about this situation and frankly aggregated at how it was handled unfortunately seems to be as per usual with organizations these days. Looking forward to how this all plays out for you! Be well!

This hit my local studio as well (Saginaw, MI) it really blindsided a lot of us in my group as well. A lot of mixed emotions for us. We have a couple Facebook groups we all stay onto keep each other going, hang in there Kim. You keep doing you, your videos are a huge part of that 💗

Kim, I want you to know that you have been my coach for at least a year and will continue to be my coach hopefully for a long time. You're one of the first RU-vidrs that I found and subscribed to. I look forward to your talks and encouragement, recipes and ideas each week. I know it is a great loss for you. Take time to grieve the loss of the job and the contact with the members. But remember you have a huge family on RU-vid that still need your encouragement weekly.

You have no idea who I am but I hope you continue these videos and know that just because you are not working at WW anymore doesn’t mean you can’t keep making amazing content on here. I"m sorry you're feeling sad and that you were dismissed from WW. From what I'm seeing in the comments, you are a beloved leader/coach. You have knowledge, you've embodied change, I can see how committed your heart is to supporting others. I hope you've created own path to bring your followers on. You might be able to empower people in a way that's healthier and more meaningful than the WW machine. You've got this!!

Oh, Kim, my heart hurts for you. I am SO sorry this happened. I 'found' your virtual workshop early on in the shutdown and you were the best, most welcoming coach I could have found! I once was let go in a similar way from a fulltime job. Fortunately, I was able to almost immediately get another job but the loss and grief were very real. Take the time you need to take care of yourself and grieve. We'll be here when you're ready to share again - and I know you will still be the inspiration you've always been to all of us.

I am so sorry to hear this. I too was working for WW for over 3 years, prior to the start of Co-Vid. I did work Virtual for a short time; then back in to the studio in July ‘21 until October. Our studio was closed so that meant there was no longer a need for me. You were so right about it never being about the money-I loved the members I saw & loved helping them on their journey. I am sure you will be greatly missed!

Hugs and prayers. We lost our coach about 3 months ago. It’s so hard the way it was handled. But, I can say from my own personal experience that something even better is coming for you. Hugs and prayers!!!

I just started week five of WW and found you only a few days ago. I have enjoyed listening and watching you. I am sorry things have changed so abruptly for you, and I hope things will correct themselves so that you will be able to move forward. Thank you for all you have done.

I’m so sorry for you. I think what many people try to forget is that WW is business. The primary goal is revenue and to raise their stock price.

So sorry Kim to hear that I know you must have been a wonderful coach. You remind me of the 1st WW coach I had that took me to lifetime. I just loved her and will never forget her as I am sure your group will feel the same way. The good news is the have you here on utube something we didn't have back in 2000..... I hope you keep your channel going I get so much from you I join WW back since I gain my weight back last year and have list 20 lbs since Jan 2. I have made so many of your recipes. I’m so sorry you are hurting Kim. This news is very disappointing esp on the heels of hearing some not good rumors re:WW moral and ethical standards. I left WW about a month ago because things didn’t sit well with me. I’ve joined iTB and continue to follow my favorite RU-vidrs and I’m happy. I’m so sorry Kim. I live in the opposite southern corner of Michigan and our local meetings were closed abruptly too. I now have to drive 45-50 minutes to larger cities with true WW centers. It’s a real bummer. I probably can’t make that fit into my schedule any longer and I do so much better when I attend in-person meetings. My heart goes out to you. Maybe you’ll have more time for crafting or decoration? Not the same as chatting with friends, though, I understand.

I really feel that WW has dropped the ball by closing so many studios. My WW coach in Wisconsin was let go about a month ago. The closest studio to me is farther than I care to drive. I know people say it's a business but it is supposed to be a business that is helping people and I don't feel they are doing that any longer. A lot of us need that in person contact.

I’m so sorry! You are one of the best and I know your members will miss you sorely, HOWEVER, we ALL still have you on here. I left WW (as a member) when the Pandemic hit and also retired and moved out of state (prior to Pandemic). You have been a big part of my weight loss journey and I will continue to follow you for moral support, recipes and your beautiful soul and smile. I will never go back to WW! They have changed way too much. It is not a “family” like it once was. I am now counting Macros and couldn’t be happier. I’m down 16 pounds in 8 weeks and feel great. I still make so many of your recipes and am thrilled that I found you on RU-vid, years ago. I don’t say too much on here, but wanted you to know that you are the best and your followers still need you. God Bless, Happy Easter and enjoy your extra time with your family and friends. They know what a great coach you are and will hopefully reach out to you when the dust settles.

Kim, I was aching to see you in such pain I was crying with you. We all need you so bad out here in virtual world!!! You are my WW Queen! But now your on a new journey like myself after leaving nursing after 30 years. Our norm has been jingled AGAIN after last year. It takes time. Not as long as I thought but focus on you now. Your a People giver so change the tune about you. I’m sure everyone here will support your decision what ever it may be but don’t rush it. Take time.

So sorry this happened. I quit ww a few years ago because personally I just didn’t like some of the changes that were being made however I still did an old version of weight watchers. Unfortunately, I think WW is dying a slow death with all the online apps and such. Best of luck to you. 🙂
