I had reached my goal weight a year ago on the Green Plan. Did not care for PP, so cancelled in March. (I actually gained back 5 pounds.). It just didn't feel right. Anyway, I went back to eating the way I did on Green, lost the extra 5, and will continue what works. For me, portion control and keeping track of what I put in my mouth is key, along with keeping active. At 68, it's so easy to fall off the wagon and let things go to heck. The conundrum with any weight-loss program is the shame and guilt you feel about any failure, as if every pound you gain is a measure of your character flaws. You've done great, Kim! I wish I had half your energy and look forward to hearing more about your life's journey!
GA, thanks for sharing! I was doing great on WW under the Blue plan. It's taken me over a year but I've lost 80 lbs., with 25 to go. I've been pretty much stuck since pp rolled out. I'm 63, so giving myself time but I'm almost certain I will drop WW & go with the Healthi app. 😀
I just have to say AMEN to everything you said, especially the mental health and diet culture issues. I'm on an antidepressant and I'm also in therapy, and through that work I realized that constantly being on a diet was very detrimental to my self esteem. I lost 65 lbs on the old Blue Plan, but my weight loss stalled with the change to Personal Points, and I finally got up the "courage" to quit WW last month. Quitting WW felt like I was "giving up" on being healthy, but in reality, trusting myself to manage my own eating is healthier for me. I'm also going to consult a nutritionist to help me continue to improve my health and approach food in a more neutral way (as opposed to literally running away from things like full-fat cheese or ice cream!). Thanks so much for sharing your health journey - it really is helpful to me!
You definitely didn’t give up! I wish you all the best in your journey. Even the one session with that dietitian was very eye-opening it. I definitely have a lot of work to do but it will be worth it.
I had the same experience when the plan changed. Got to the point where I felt like I was starving and upping my Peloton rides and workouts and would end up gaining a pound rather than losing anything! So frustrating and I totally agree with the feelings of failing and being 'disappointed' with myself. I also quit WW and am taking a little break. I think when I decide to get back to it I'm going to try just calorie counting. I wish weight wasn't such a struggle for so many of us. On a side note, I have been watching your channel from the beginning and I really love your sense of humor!! Thanks for the videos . . . great job!
Kim, I feel you're headed in the right directionby getting professional help both for your mental health and diet. You are a smart, strong young women. I wish you good luck in your training for your half triathalon.
I actually just canceled my membership the other day. Ive never been so disappointed in a WW plan as I am with this one. I knew back in February I did not like it and it just stopped working for me. It's unfortunate that we have to wait a little over a year for this plan to go away. I totally get it about keeping up with the science but I just feel if it ain't broke don't fix it. The best program in my opinion was FREESTYLE/BLUE!!
Thanks for sharing. I was new to WW (Green plan) one month before they changed to personal points. I did not get on with personal points, didn't lose weight, became disheartened and cancelled my subscription. Am now happy using My Fitness Pal. Fantastic! Good luck for your triathlon👍
Thanks for your honesty! I did the same thing… now following the Healthi app with calories. I really like the tracking aspect (weird, I know) of these programs and I LOVED the old blue plan! I was doing so well on it and them BOOM it was gone! Ugh! Good luck to you and keep up the videos, they definitely helped me through the journey!😘
I too have quit WW after 7 months. I lost 20 lbs but then the weight just stopped coming off. I did succeed in cutting sugar mostly out of my diet…which is biggy for me, so at least I’m not craving that sugar as much. I love watching your videos, you always make me smile, and sometimes laugh. Hope you continue making them.
You’re a beast … how, wonderful. I love your take on pretty much everything. I wish you the best. I’m a new groups. Thanks for being you. Such motivation you have given me.
Definitely! I don’t think it sucks at all. It just wasn’t right for me at this time. It will forever be grateful that it helped me lose weight and turn the corner at my health. Thank you for watching!
I'm glad you are still posting videos. I quit WW sometime ago, I was on it a year and struggled gaining and loosing the same fivw pounds. They I would try and quit and they would offer a deal and I'd keep going. Once they got rid of the video coaches I was completely canceling. Now I follow a Mediterranean diet. I'm trying to boost up my proteins. When i hit WW goal in 2011 I was really following my calories, and it was under 1300. Sometimes 800 calories a day to loose weight. Now I accept that I will not starve myself, but I will try to move and enjoy food and enjoy healthy food. Life is short, I'm over 60 and have spend 50 of it dieting and with many drastic measures. So I say NO to diet culture now. Yes to self love and care.
I the have been on WW Lifetime for 13 years and I pretty much ignore the every 2 year “upgrade” they make to their plan. I too like the Blue Freestyle plan and find it works for me. As you get older you need more protein and I always focus on that. Good luck with your new path!
I love your channel . I don’t care that you quit WW but I care that you will still be sharing recipes and good advice, it is positive motivation. Good luck with your challenges I am routing for your success. I am so excited for you and your skin removal it will make such a difference for you. 😘😘😘
Guess I am alone. I have been a WW member on and off for years. I have seen so many changes through out the journey but I always accepted it ,that WW had my back. When I blow the whole weekend, Monday was a New Beginning and got back on track. The scales has never controlled me so at times I didn’t loose for a few weeks, in other words I am a turtle, still a 50 lb. loss is a win for me. But we are all different and what ever works for a person then -Go Girl. Best to you on your journey💃🏼
Canceled months ago. The Personal Points plan actually made me gain as well. I was on the Blue Plan at the time and lost, but nothing major. I'm now on Healthi which is much cheaper and has the older Weight Watcher Plans. I'm doing the Carb Conscious Plan (which was the Point Plus on weight watchers) and doing very well on it. WW being primarily focused on the App is a turn off for me too. It's not worth the price imo when there are free and cheaper Apps that are just as good. What I used to enjoy about WW were the tools, meeting, community etc... all of that is for the most part non existent these days. I have heard that the new CEO is ready to do away with Personal Points though and get back to basics of what made Weight Watchers successful. We will see.
Kim you are sharing what I have been feeling. I’ve been on WW for so long that I think I’m just scared to venture out of the WW box. Thank you for sharing and I will continue to follow your channel.
I cancelled too!! I didn’t really care for the blue, green or purple either. I could NEVER stay within my points. I began researching intermittent fasting as an option for weight loss. I read “Fast, Feast, Repeat” by Gin Stephens, and was blown away. I started intermittent fasting June 14 and have lost 7lbs! I am doing16:8, mostly 17:7 and eat whatever I want! There are no off limit foods in my eating window. That has truly freed me from diet mentality. I do exercise with my Peloton bike about 30 minutes 4 days a week. I’m excited to see your progress on this channel. I’ve enjoyed watching you and will continue to cheer you on. 🎉
Thank you! I must confess this is the first time I have seen your video. I am seriously considering cancelling my sub and decided to do a search seeing if others are thinking the same way, and here you are. I am a Lifetime member who has followed WW since the 1980’s. At the beginning of PP, I was 50 pounds above the weight I achieved to get to LT. I have gained roughly 15 pounds on PP. Was on Green, with 30 SP. The assessment gave me 18 PP and 28 Weeklies, so if I divide Weeklies by 7, the most I get from PP without adding veggies or water or activity is 22. I like veggies, but still. I do okay in the morning, but by lunch, my daily points are gone, I get frustrated, and then things fall apart. And, at 70+ years, I am on some meds that encourage weight gain. I walk for exercise, but summer heat has made this tough. WW likes to call this a life style, but to me it really has become very restrictive and a DIET. Not sure what I will do, but this is discouraging. Thanks for listening.
And I thought I was the only one! I lost 20 lbs on the Green Plan and then stalled completely with PP. I canceled and rejoined about a month ago, so I can't quit my subscription for another 5 months without a penalty. I have been watching your channel for a few months and have enjoyed it immensely! Thanks for the smiles and so happy you are going to continue.
I totally agree. I have been tracking personal points and calories with fit pal. I am at goal just barely or I would cancel. The money would be better spent for cost of living. I love you videos so I will continue watching your journey.
Kim, I think you're making the right choice, because it's the choice you feel suits your needs best. That's what we have to do in our lives. I hope you'll share some of the information you learn from your nutritionist. I would really like to hear it.
I quit WW also and am working on intuitive eating with a Mediterranean style. Adding olive oil, instead of cooking spray, has helped me feel more satisfied with my meals and I don’t want to snack as much because I’m not always so hungry!!
Thanks for this video. It helped to reinforce why I quit WW about a year ago. I’ve been on WW for about 35 years on and off and always reached my goal weight. I realize they change the plan to try and improve it or make it more customizable. I did the best when the plan was points or core and I counted points. Only non starchy vegetables were 0 points. When they made so many foods like eggs, chicken, nonfat Plain Greek yogurt and fruit 0 points that’s when I started to gain and struggled to remain lifetime. Let’s face it all food has calories and I started eating too many 0 point foods and the weight piled on. Most people on WW have problems with portion control and 0 point foods are a problem. Now I track calories on My Plate, exercise and eat what I want and the pounds are coming off. Still like your content and will continue watching!
I am of the same mindset regarding WW personal points. I was doing very well, losing consistently (small amounts, but in total 60lbs). Then, when the change to the plan happened, it was like some invisible breaks were applied. Fast forward to today, and I've gained 20lbs back. Throw in that I'm quite unhappy with my workshop (love the workshop leader but she lets two people derail every meeting...i just can't listen to this mother/daughter duo talk about the daughters wedding anymore)and it's been a very unhappy turn around. This was really good to know that I'm not alone feeling like this. Thank you Kimberly!
I just canceled yesterday. My mom unexpectedly passed away on April 8th. Since then I haven’t been able to get back on track. When I would try it just wasn’t feeling right. Weight watchers definitely helped me loose 30 lbs. I’ve gain 6 ish back, and I look at food differently now and think more about what I do. So with growing up with not healthy habits I’m trying to relearn and teach my kids. I needed a break to get mentally strong again and to breathe without tracking constantly. Thanks for this video good luck in all you do.
Ever since WW changed to pp I have been struggling to loose weight . I have gained 3 lbs and I decided I am going back to the blue plan. I am not quitting WW because my monthly fee is only 15 dollars and my WW coach is like a comedian she is a blast. But I am struggling to find myself again where I was so motivated and confident. I will be 70, in September,oh my Lord how could this happen? Life goes by so fast
I canceled my WW plan also. I discovered intermittent fasting and never looked back. I feel FREEDOM. I never have to count things again. And I'm still losing weight. Good for you for recognizing the plan is not working for you.
As an ex long distance cyclist and runner I think you are on the right track! You will need fuel and it will be tempting to eat too much sugar related energy drinks and bars etc but your sports dietician will give you healthy options. I gained only after menopause like 30 pounds. I am 10 pounds over my WW top number but another 20 over my own goal. I will be watching your channel Kim and excited to see your journey and get some tips as I get back into cycling and running at 72. I think I also will be letting my WW bill of 45.00 a month go. I am lifetime because I lost 10 pounds and kept it off for whatever the time period was many years ago. I plan on needing food for the gym as well plus I hike and kayak. Keep moving we are cheering for you!
Hey Kim, thanks for posting this video. I lost 20lb on WW Green in 8 months last year and my target was 40lb total loss. For some reason the PP plan just didn't fit into my lifestyle and eating preferences at all, and I really struggled to stay anywhere close to my points. I cancelled three months ago, and yes my weight has crept up by 9lb, but now I'm planning to start calorie counting. So glad you'll still be posting videos (and you gave me mega new kitchen inspiration, my refit is booked for October!). xxx
Hey. Just came across your channel. I am slowly transitioning off of nutrisystem and was thinking about weight watchers as the next step. These were some great points that you brought up. Thanks for sharing
I am on Weight Watchers, just started. My mother wanted to go back on after a decade away. So we are going together as a dual couple thing. I am tracking my eating for this week as I am eating as I always did, and I do go over my points a LOT. So just tracking makes me realize that I know what I am eating isn't great, how much I am sleeping every night, and how much activity I am actually doing. Everything I do, I put on the tracker, so that's a bonus for me just to have that accountability. I know I will not stay with it, I just need it for a bit. I may steal their tracking sheets and transfer that on paper, but for now, I like it on my phone, it's easy to add things rather than take out a book, and pen and write it down, inconvenient when I am not near the book. It's easy to flip through the days and remove/add things without having to make a mess on paper by scratching things off and writing it under or over the thing you scratched off etc...
That is so awesome that you and your mom are doing it together! I definitely enjoyed tracking on paper when I first started Weight Watchers over 10 years ago. There is something really beneficial about seeing it in front of me. Best wishes!
I cancelled too. Could not lose and felt the same guilt you did. It actually stressed me out too much. I stopped my lexapro because of the weight gain...stupid move!! I now track calories and macros on Healthi. I am losing slowly but I feel better and am definitely eating more healthy. I am happier too. This was a great video Kim. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much for the comment! I did quit my Lexapro when I was on vacation. But definitely regretting it. I’m going to go back and see if there’s a different option.
Just cancelled my subscription a few days ago, this new plan is not for me, I lost 71 lbs on Blue and this new PP was not something I could get into. And I have gained back at least half that weight since November when it came out. Thank you for this video.
I'm glad to hear you're not going anywhere! I love your videos and even watch old ones when they are suggested to me. I rejoined WW at the end of March. I did the color plans in 2020. I like the new plan, but I did change my points to maintenance for the summer, and I might leave them there, adjusting them down a bit if I need to. I think I can lose on more points than the weight loss mode gives me. We'll see. I think you are absolutely smart to focus on your training and finding a dietician who can help with that. I can't wait to see more of your journey!
Thank you so much! It seems like a lot of people eat very few calories with some of the points allowances. So you probably can eat more points than the plan says
I am so glad you are continuing with your videos! I just recently found your channel and absolutely love your videos!!! I stopped with WW partly because of the cost and partly because I wasn’t losing anything. Not a fan of the new plan. I went to Healthi to track and started intermittent fasting. The first week doing intermittent fasting I lost 3.5. I knew my night snacking was bad but I definitely saw from that. I started doing it March 9th and I am down 23 lbs.
So true to ALL OF IT! The whole “weeklies” and activity points don’t eat them thing is bad. If you are active, you need to eat more. So, if you run or bike (or whatever) long distances, you NEED more calories. For me, if I am hungry and don’t eat the calories I need, I end up binging. It’s a terrible unhealthy cycle. I also am an endurance runner. I ran the Marine Corps Marathon 2 weeks ago. On long run days, or anything over 10 miles, I added calories for the day. If I do not do that, it is a recipe for disaster. It took me so freaking long to understand this. Weight watchers WW was part of that problem (along with other restrictive diets). I dropped WW in 2020 and tried intermittent fasting before finally settling in on calorie counting with my meals and snacks all built around protein. I eat carbs - lots of them! And I still lose weight. Imagine that? LOL. Good ole fashioned calorie counting with MFP works. Glad I found you. My interests and channel definitely align with what you are talking about - I hit the all buttons! Good luck! - Lori
Good luck Kim. While I like the WW new plan, I applaud you for knowing it isn't right for you, and for seeking out support that might meet your needs better, especially if you were feeling sucked into 'diet culture': never a good place to find yourself, especially if your emotional health is a bit fragile.
Thank you for being honest with your experience on PP. I just couldn't do the new plan. I will forever be grateful for the blue plan that allowed me to lose 50 pounds after 10 years of trying crash diets but the new plan just never worked for me. I also fell into the trap when trying to cancel. I declined the cheaper plan so they offered me 1 month free so I accepted then forgot to cancel.
You look great and you are fit Kim. Keep loving yourself. I have been stuck . I lost 40 lbs. Then, March , April and May just gained 5 pounds . I do the the blue plan just know what to do with that.
I'm a Lifetime member below my official WW goal but above my personal goal. I gained about 8 lbs right after PP came out in November because I had out of town family stating with us for 2 weeks. However, I have not been able to get most of it off and sometimes I do hit the max that I originally gained. I lost most of my 95+ lbs on Freestyle and then switched to 💜 when the 3 plans came out which brought me to my personal goal. Since I don't pay I stay. But I can't wait until they change the program again. This is my first time watching you, I guess you popped up based on who I follow.
I agree. I’m thinking about it. I’m just to busy with a full time job teaching at a child development center from 8am to 6pm everyday of the week. I’m also a mother of 2 and a wife. So lots to do when I get home. I try, buts it’s overwhelming to come up with meals and meal prep and keep up with points. It’s a struggle for sure and you hit on the head, mental health needs to come first.
Oh, goodness, I was upset I wouldn't get to enjoy your smiling fun and informative videos. Will continue to follow your and get inspiration for my healthy journey💕
The PP Plan I don’t like either. Lately haven’t been great eating anyway because of stress. You are an inspiration, Kim, thank you for all your wonderful videos. Love the food videos you create as well. Thank you for sharing you left WW. I may as well, want to try just to loose on my own first to see how I’ll do. I tried intermittent fasting a few days. Actually I was loosing weight but by 11am I was starving just as my break was finishing. I begin work 7AM and it wasn’t working for me also felt a bit lightheaded. I also love coffee in the morning and that’s a no coffee fasting if you use milk and I use Premier Protein. I have to figure something out. Thank you again Kim!!!
100% agree. I think they missed the mark this time. There are hardly any studios in Canada now. This type of diet culture is on its way out. I’ve been on and off since 1980. My phycologist says it’s not good. We are not eating enough on this last program. Bravo to you 🙌🏼.
I am lifetime at goal. I love my leader and group. I want you to find what works for you. All of this can easily become an obsession that turns into negative behavior. Enjoy your training and goals set.
Go back to the WW plan that you were on before they introduced the personal point plan, that's what I did since I moved to North Carolina. In order to get to a W W meeting I have to travel 45 mins. So I kept on the blue plan, and I'm almost at my goal weight. Good luck.🦋
You articulated this so well! I am a free Lifetime WW member, however, I set my goal 10 pounds above where I really wanted to be, just so I could be free. At that point I had lost 40 pounds to get there and felt like my body just wanted to stay at that weight. So . . . I decided to maintain there for a while - which I did for 3 years. Now this year I've been trying to lost that last 10 pounds and am failing miserable on PP. And, believe me, that last 10 pounds is not unreasonable - I could actually stand to lose 20 and still be on the high side of the so-called "healthy" range. I am looking into other alternatives to WW, and frankly, have been staying with WW because it is free to me. I'm so tired of feeling bad about myself because I just cannot seem to make this work.
BEST OF LUCK TO YOU!!! I understand where you're coming from. I cancelled my WW subscription back in April. Yes they keep sucking you in with a free month and so on lol. I'm not saying the new plan doesn't work. I do know it didn't work for me. For those that are successful, congratulations 👏👏 ✋!! I was on freestyle/ blue for 4 years and successful. I knew the point values of my foods. 23 daily 42 weekly. The new plan I was getting 15 daily and 20 weekly🤯 WHATTTT??? The points of my go to foods changed and I was just overwhelmed!! I fell the week before Christmas flat on my back. So I wasn't able to walk for exercise for a while 🙄🙄. Then my little dog I had for 13 years got sick suddenly in February and died. Plus taking care of my mom full time with dementia and she passed away in March. So I just didn't have it in me to try to figure out the new points of my favorite foods. I was stressed frustrated at everything going on. Still however staying on plan and just not losing. I cancelled and switched to Healthi Better Balanced plan. I love this app because it gave me back my 23/42 and also shows my calories. I'm losing again and it's just better for me.
I feel the same about the new program! I’m lifetime so I don’t have to pay for my app so I’m thinking maybe I will hang onto it in case they change the program. But I am also looking into intuitive eating and may need to cut WW loose. I have been keeping track of calories on my fitness pal for a week now and I’m starting to see a little bit of movement on the scales and it’s free! But you’re right about the diet culture I follow too many Instagram weight watcher recipe sites etc.
It is so hard to cut ties with the program when it has been helpful in the past. I am glad you are having some luck with counting calories. Thank you so much for watching!
I ended up canceling WW! I’ve been reading intuitive eating but I don’t really feel like I’m committed to letting go of everything completely yet. What are your plans?
You should listen to Planning Us Healthy , she has started intuitive eating & explains how she started. I also have left WW for the same exact reason you state. I have gone over to my fitness pal & I love it. Unfortunately it’s taking my brain a while to get my head out of that WW mentality. Not to say in the beginning many years ago it didn’t help because it did. I don’t feel this new program is for me. I wanted to still loose some weight & I wasn’t. You are making the right choice for you & thanks for talking so open & honest about how you feel & best of luck to you!
I agree with you. I have only lost 5 lbs with WW since starting 5 months ago. I don’t think this plan is working for me either. I’m off the fence and canceling now.
I’m happy for you. If I were in your shoes is cancel too. I’m sticking it out bc it’s a security blanket for me. You’re gonna do great. I really enjoy you’re channel.
I agree with you……very disappointed in the new plan. Too much looking up points and time spent on the computer. Being in my middle 70’s I find too many changes with the WW plan. I will be canceling my account also
Thank you for watching! My mother in law followed WW and saw success. Once she felt good about her habits and knowing the plan, she quit the program. But she has maintained her weight and feels really good.
I haven’t lost squat since November. I’m disgusted with this PP plan. 🤷♀️ luckily I’m still at goal (high end) but weight is creeping up. It gets worse since I’m now 60 and can’t get the weight off as easily. Here if you are out of goal range it’s 44 bucks!
I miss purple. I did so well in a community where I was learning personal points. And then they got rid of the digital 360 and I was dealing with my mom's death and didn't see they'd raised the prices on me. I'm enjoying healthi.
Hi Kim! I love your sass :). For the last month or so I have also thought about canceling my WW. I have lost a total of 38 pounds since June of last year. However, since the new plan I've been going up and down with the same 4 pounds. Anyway, I'm searching more options along with seeing a dietician monthly.
Having all the same issues. I’ve been within the same 5 pounds since the new plan started. Started an antidepressant about 6 weeks ago. I feel so much better but so frustrated with WW!!
Congratulations on taking that step with the antidepressant. I am going to see my doctor next month to try something different. We need to feel good mentally and physically!
I know all of the plans well enough to pretty much follow any of them whether they are current or old (minus adding them into an app). I’m such a food creature of habit that I just watch my portions and know to eat lean meats, less sugar and sensible carbs. It’s always been about calories in, calories out in my opinion.
Hi Kim thank you for posting this I canceled WW the other day for all the same reasons. I am just going to find a calorie tracking app that I like and give that a try. I think alot of people didn't like this new plan. What apps do you guys recommend?
I was on lexapro for 8 mths years ago. Evil drug. I was always very thin. Fast metabolism. Lexapro put 10kgs on me. It was fluid. My tummy looked pregnant and hard as a rock. I was a zombie. I took myself off it and lost the fluid but now I have trouble losing weight. It has ruined my metabolism. Great video. I was on ww but cancelled today. Good luck x
I just signed back up with myWW, lol! I took a break and regrouped (just ate w/o putting to much stress on myself). To avoid the siren's call to return I just unsubscribed to emails, but I'm ready to return now with renewed energy. I'm not an endurance athlete and I'm in a different age range, we are all individuals at different levels and stages. So much goes into weight loss. I often think I will try to lose weight most of my life and then towards the end I'll be trying to gain weight to stay alive! And in between I will take breaks :).
I agree that we’re all at stages and have different needs. WW is great, and I’m grateful that it helped me improve my health. I had to chuckle at your comment about getting weight toward that end of life to stay alive. My grandma always tried to lose weight and when she got to be about 85, all we wanted her to do was eat and gain weight.
I'm still on ww. I lost 80 lbs but in the last 6 maybe 8 months I've gained 30. I was/am still going through the motions of the plan but was not really following. I just couldn't seem to pull myself back together to do all the things. I was having trouble before the plan changed so I can't blame it on that. Mostly it was i hit a major plateau and kinda gave up. I think I'm in a good mindset to give it another go. I've been doing all the things for whole week 🤭 and will reexamine in 8 weeks if I'll stay or go
WARNING !!! I signed up for WW in OCT. I called to cancel my 12 month subscription tonight and was told NO! I am LOCKED in until Oct 2024. I will be billed until then with no out at all. WARNING!!!
I reached my goal in 2015 and maintained goal weight until 2020 nd I gained 20 pounds back. I have been paying for the app again for 6 months but haven't been consistent. I have been thinking of using My Fitness Pal to count calories and macros and made the switch today and canceled WW.
I also canceled. It just wasn’t working for me anymore and I was paying $45 a month! Absolutely ridiculous to waste all that money for years when it was not working. This plan is terrible and I would almost guarantee that in the year they’re going to come out with something else. I am also counting calories on my fitness pal and I’m looking forward to seeing how you do it and what you eat as well
Thank you for watching! I wonder what they are going to do. It seems like a lot of people are unhappy with the plan. I don’t know what it was like when they rolled out blue, green, and purple. But it seemed like a lot of people liked it and it was just enough choice. I liked those plans.
I was at goal in March 2020. I lost 17# on WW Freestyle. I maintained switching between green and purple. I’ve gained 10# on PP and can’t seem to lose. I’ve checked my calories and realized I was only eating about 900 calories per day on WW. I just switched to Healthi to do Smart Points but also to monitor my macros and calories. Still trying to figure it all out 🤷♀️
I am conflicted between intuitive eating and WW. I reached my WW goal which was impossible for me to maintain because it was too low. I just want to have a healthy relationship with food, eat healthy most of the time, and maintain a reasonable weight within my weight set point. If anyone has any suggestions, I would love to hear it. I do not agree with a diet mindset. I also want to eat intuitively.
I started doing intermittent fasting while on WW. I finally started losing weight again after a 6 month plateau. I realized it was IF and not WW that was enabling the weight loss. IF is where I'm at now with intuitive eating and I finally feel free. The IF 20:6, 20 hour daily fast which includes sleeping and a 6 hour eating window lifestyle is where I'm at to maintain for the rest of my life.
I agree with u. I’m done with WW. I think they should have left it Weight Watchers. And don’t understand why Oprah is doing WW but I see all these things pop up on FB about some other diet???? Not sure about all that, but I had way less success on personal points. I’m only maybe 20 pounds overweight. I’ll be canceling soon.
I have really been fighting with myself about canceling too. The being able to retake the assessment really bothers me. I have been looking into other plans and options so I haven’t totally decided to cancel or not. I still have a long ways to go before I meet my goal so I do need a plan to follow. I’m just not sure that WW is it for me anymore
It is such a struggle! My dietitian said that our minds and bodies can work against each other. We are trying to follow these rules, whether we set them for ourselves or from a plan, but our body tries to hold onto the weight
I don’t understand how it’s that different. Can’t you take the quiz and get the same zero point foods as old plan if you prefer? Is it the way points are calculated?
They are a business. Their bottom line is all that matters. To be slim and healthy eat like our great greats did: three meals, breakfast largest, be physical all day, stop looking at food as more than fuel. Back in the 17-1800s people didn’t exercise they worked! Our modern society has flipped us all upside down!!
I have depression bad and I feel the same way you do about trying to lose weight do you the points. I also know that a lot of the sugar-free stuff that I have been eating on weight watchers causes my mood to be worse
Thank you for watching! I am very intrigued by the effect of sugar free foods on your mood. It’s definitely worth me investigating. When I am not following weight watchers, I tend to eat less of those things.
I am also leaving the program because I have been gaining weight since the changeover. I will probably continue with Lose It which will count calories and macros. This program did not work for me.
Keto/low carb is the best, Its free and all the info in free on line, But My menu is small because I hate eggs, fish, shellfish, pork, It gets old eating just beef and chicken and no beans, I love veggies and salads so I decided to go back on old school Weight Watchers, Points plus not the new one. My menu will be bigger., I lost 20lbs in a month on Keto so I'm ready for a change for now.
Interesting bc I’ve been trying to decide if I want to continue. .it seems WW keeps changing techniques plans etc. constant change brings frustration ….I say ..get back to basics ……
