I told myself I'm getting a 2020 c8 in 2023, and I will! My friends and family will think it's not a good decision on my part to pay that kind of money for a car, but I for once in my life want to own something I've only imagined myself having. I've been working the same job for 5 years and now make enough to afford the payments and still be able to handle other bills, just I would have to cut spending on things I once did, which would be worth it. I can't wait to get behind the wheel of my very own and hit the road.

I went to the dealer to order one of these thinking I was going to pay 62k. They quickly introduced me to their markup price on all C8s. I quickly introduced them to my backside and left.

Haha...this happened to me in November 2020. I ended up getting a 2017 Jaguar F-type R...great car....I will be getting the convertible c8 when the markup goes away :)

Is a transparent roof an option? Also sw a vid of a guy who had I believe the 3LT the interior was super nice It had 3 tone was sky gray with black side and some yellow strips on each side ..I'm guessing its not an option on the 1 or 2LT ? So I'm wondering is it possible to get that aftermarket then just sell my stock seats ? Thanx for any reply or info

No paint was harmed. All cuts were made in a gap and when no gap is there, we use knifeless tape.

The most capable sports car I've ever owned was an 2013 Audi TT RS. It stickered for $64,000 as I had ordered it new from Germany, but surprisingly, my dealer gave me a discount for such a rare car, and I got mine for $58,000. At a price of $60,000, I think the C8 is very well equipped and more capable than my TT RS (excluding AWD), so I would feel just fine ordering a base C8. Black paint (no premium $) and red leather interior. And I'd be quite happy. Better than the best sportscar I've ever owned, and my first midengine car. The challenge is getting a dealer to order what I want and sell it at that price!

Great video, I have the similar spec on order, did you get ppf and ceramic coating? The only thing I wish as an option for 1lt as an add on is rearview camera mirror and blind spot alert

the only thing bad about 1lt is they don't let you add anything to it all I want is blind spot rear view camera and front raise have to pay another 10 grand to get it

Yeah, his family is well off, and I'm sure they paid for his college and living expenses, but he was making $$$ from RU-vid for several years for his cars. Now he's married and is a Chevy salesman at a local dealer. Pretty good for a twenty something guy!

Ride looks good af! Love how you did the two tone. I love that look but also don't want to spend the extra amount for the convertible. I plan on doing a very similar build, but Arctic White and red interior, then blacking out the top as well. I want the transparent roof though. Having a Tesla has spoiled me on that feature. Can't wait to hear the exhaust. The stock exhaust leaves some more sound to be desired.

Just picked up an Hypersonic gray 1LT and love it the color is much nicer in person than pics. Red mist was definitely an option for me too. You cannot go wrong with either color!

No. Only the Z51 can be lowered. And if you get the front lift you can't lower the front with the Z51.

I had a C7 Z51. Moved up to a C8 Base 2LT. The C8 is a huge upgrade even without Z51. Reviewers did a disservice telling people they “must” get a Z51.

I think Z51 adds the electric rear diff. That is a game changer performance thing that I would really want, and it would be hard or impossible to add.

What about the Z51 axle ratio? Does it give you more acceleration? I wouldn't want a higher ring gear in my Z06, because first gear would be unusable (which it was even stock before I got taller wheels), but with the 8 speed auto, could be really useful to launch like that.

I ordered a 2022 put a deposit down in Sept still waiting.. They wil call when their 3 months asay for me to pick options I have a bit of electro sensitivity IO hate all this wireless junk sitting right next to a wifi router gives me severe headaches in about n hr , so I wanted to stay away from all wireless junk or as much as possible.Anyway would a 1LT have less wireless things ? Id like to get the 2LT but only if most of the wireless can be disabled , Do you know if wireless like the wifi other wireless things can be disabled ? Also I have a C5 now had it brand new for 18 yrs now but I always scrape goin out of my driveway , So id like the the lift option, did you say you put an after market in for only 200bucks?

I'd probably get the Z51 package for the extra cooling especially since I would like to track the car. I would've made that the ONLY option if I had to IMO, even without the magride since I'd probably upgrade to Ohlins coilovers down the line ;)

That was an awesome and informative video! Thank you for providing the reasons why you chose the options you did and did not make. I'm looking to purchase. I was so surprised that it took that long for you to get the car. I'm not happy about that! I want to build it and have it come shortly. Thank you again for posting this fantastic video. Your wheels you picked out are very cool. Most times people pick out garish ugly aftermarket wheels. The trident wheels are ok but not the best. The standard 5 spoke wheels actually look really nice on the car.

I totally understand why you kept the price down. It allowed you to make your own unique enhancements. I have yet to see a c8 vette for that cheap. I see base vettes in Cali for low $90k and the loaded ones for closer to $115k. I even see used 2LTs for $80-95k

All you have to do is order one . Plenty of dealers will sell you one at MSRP. The only thing is you will have to wait a year or more to get it.
