I picked up my '11 335is with 54k miles earlier this year. Got it for a similar price, and I love it. People don't realize it came with a lot of fixes from the factory that the original N54 had (I-12 injectors, oil cooler upgrade, etc.) you hit the nail on the head with the m-transmission and the rarity of it. I'm looking forward to upgrading mine down the road and following your content!
after 2 years of owning a 335is with FBO it's been pretty reliable so far. I've only had to do just basic maintenance for the majority of ownership. My only regret is I've should of went for a 135is instead or a m3 for the price I bought my 335is lol.
That’s good to hear about the same for me as well. I like the 135is but n55😬 Now the e9x M3 now that’s a car I still think about till this day! Maybe a future build🤔
I have a E93 335IS DCT in lemans blue and I can’t wait to go ST . Doing all maintenance now as the water pump took a shit on me 😂 but I wouldn’t trade this car at all I’d just add to the collection .
Got an e93 335is last year with 38k miles, car has been sweet and bitter but I wouldn't want anything else, had an E90 335xi and the experience is night and day! Now I need to go SINGLE TURBO!
That’s way more work and a headache to swap a DCT on a stock 335is just buy a 335is with good maintenance and your good my boy found a 335is with good mileage for $13k so you can definitely find one for a good price if your looking
It’s probably not twice the price unless you get one with super low mileage it will probably be worth 13-18 thousand for a clean one and with all the extra stuff and uniqueness I think it’s worth it!
had a DCT, I dont get the trill, still automatic. However, I sold mine to get a manual and I ''made'' money, people seems to like drivin ''sport car'' with an auto... i dont get it, but hey, this is subjective. wife got a f30 n55 with a zf8 flashed, and dman I dont feel to drive it fast with 2 pedals, and least this is good for mpg and tickets :D
DCT is just different with the n54 especially with a single turbo! I personally like the way it shifts and how fast it is! Obviously manual is going to be at the top because of the engagement you get from it but still DCT is a pretty cool alternative
