Why I bought a Honda GoldWing 

Great video Mike. What I liked was the honesty and sincerity. My decision to buy a Goldwing came after a 1,500-mile ride to Death Valley National Park earlier this year. It was a three Harley rider group with a couple buddies I worked with on the police department 40 years ago. Two of us were on the motor squad and rode Police Harleys, that is until they got replaced by the superior Kawasaki Police K1000.

Memphis Mike, you're the man. I'm 31 years old, have been through the wringer in the last few years, and all I could afford to get back on was a ragged out 82 GL1100. what began as desperate has really been a blessing. I have goldwing fever like I never imagined. When the right time comes, I can see myself on a late model. Not just for old guys. They're for guys who like to treat a bike like most folks treat a car.

Bought my first goldwing when I was 19, loved it ever since.

I've been riding wings since 1990. I'm on a '99 1500SE now that I bought in 2003. I have 166K miles on it, and it just runs and runs. I commute 35 miles and I do it in comfort. I also have the power to get out of those situations that daily commuting present. It doesn't handle like a large bike.

I love my 08 I did the USA four corners tour in 2010 11,500 miles in 21 days never any trouble . RIDE ON !!!

I have a V-Star 2006 Yamaha 1100 Silverado. I have been drooling over these Goldwings for some time. Thank you for the video and your in-sight.

I just got my first Goldwing, being riding since I was 11 years old and love it, it was a nice enjoyable ride that you put out there. I plan to ride mine as much as possible but do enjoy the different perspective from other riders. Again, I enjoyed the trip with you. Thanks

Wow that was a FANTASTIC review of a Goldwing! I am not even 45 and had doubts about getting a Goldwing up until I bought mine last mid June. I knew a guy at work who bought his when he was "only" about 37 and he swore that it was a smart decision on his part. So, I thought I couldn't be too young, right?

Pretty hard to find a better bike for die hard tour pros. I own a variety of brands but the GL1800 is our long distance ride, it is perfect and requires no maintenance aside from occasional oil changes.

I just bought an older Goldwing, and can't wait to ride it. Great video. I am in New Hampshire and considering attending EAA Airventure Airshow in Oshkosh Wi this summer with the bike.

Thanks for the vid Mike. Am looking at jumping straight from my learner 250 Virago to a 1500 / 1800 GoldWing + trailer for the storage and long distance camping/touring around Oz. You've convinced me to go find one for a test ride and scratch that itch.

Great video Mike! I owned a 2002 Honda VTX 1800 and sold it in 2013. I thought my riding days were over but my wife decided that I was not. We bought a 2012 GoldWing with Audio/Comfort package. We love it! I looked very seriously at the F6B and was at the Honda Shop to make the deal on it. My wife spotted a silver and black wing and steered me in that direction. She wasn't happy sitting on the back of the F6 but loved the comfort of the GoldWing seat. Same power but a lot more comfort for both of us. I bought the Sena SMH10 headsets for our helmets. We can talk to each other, listen to music, answer or make calls on our cell phones etc. I sometimes miss the thrill of the VTX but I am very pleased with the Goldwing.

I will say that Honda is a beautiful machine. I brought my victory last year, and about 2wks before me a guy in my neighborhood brought the gold wing. He would practice his slow maneuvers in the area and I would watch how great the bike would handle. Just its presence on the roads was majestic. We spoke a few time and he said this was the best bike he's ever owned and his wife loved it as well.

Wow great video, I have been going back and forth about getting another touring bike, Between Harley Ultra Classic and Goldwing, I think your video just sold me a Goldwing, be safe out there and enjoy your riding

Been shopping around for a Goldwing for a while now. Just found my “new “ bike! 2008, abs, navigation, and heated seats! 9500 miles and same color as yours! I’ll say this, it’s much smoother than my police Harley! Watched a lot of your videos, Chris Caliente’s and cruisman garage, helped a lot in making my decision to buy a GW!

I have a GL1500 in Austraia. I converted it to a trike. Just love it I am a eighty years young with bad legs ,so explains why I went to a Richland trike
