It's pretty simple really. Pat's works. #CompactTractor #QuickHitch #Pats

I do own a quick hitch, but see some advantages to Pats hitch. It would have been helpful for you to a real life demonstration of backing up to the implement and hooking up. I think you would have trouble getting the Pats hitch to line up because the 3 point arms move slightly where as the quick hitch is fixed. That movement is both good and bad, but if the implements have similar dimensions the quick hitch is much faster and easier.

I installed the Pat’s on my tractor yesterday. Best thing I could have done.

You are absolutely correct I bought a quick hitch and ended up going to the Pat's because of all my implements didn't work with the quick hitch.

I have the Pat's quick connect like you put on your tractor. I had it on a 1952 Ferguson TO30. I bought a new Massey Ferguson GC1725, I put the Pat's on the 1725. Worked great on the TO30 and on the 1725.

I use a post hole digger frequently, and the last thing I wanted to have to do is remove my quick hitch to be able to use it, then put it back on when I went to a different implement. With the Pats system, I don't have to worry. The points mentioned here are perfectly valid. If you have a situation where everything can use the same dimensions and attaching methods, then the traditional quick hitch is for you. If your implements vary in mounting dimensions, or you want to use a post hole digger, than the Pats system is a better choice.

I’ve got a John Deere 3038E and Frontier implements after a few months I tried the Pat’s system and it’s definitely a better way of attaching any my implements lot less straining and faster setting them up.

I have naught both types of quick hitch. Pats are a lot harder to install and remove than the normal quick hitch if you can’t use a quick hitch. Plus all of my equipment is either 20 in or 25-26 in wide. So far all equipment I see is 20 or 25 inches so I welded 3 in square tubing so they are all 26 in Top links are different but I put quick hitch pins with snap so I can hook the top link no matter the height. Remodeling the equipment to fit fixed quick hitch is easy then. No more turn buckles or sliding arms. Cause they are all quick ready except top link. And like you said top link is easy. I am rewelding all of my top links now I can just backup to them

Bushings are like 4 bucks...... other "issues" are valid. IMO. Different brands are an issue, but most modern implements from quality manufacturers are quick hitch compatible and it is not an issue. Like you stated your mileage may vary. Good info. Pats is a good option.

Bought a SpeeCo Quick Hitch for my new tractor and it didn't fit the width of my 1999 Woods Blade. Will be returning the SpeeCo and buying Pat's. Thanks for the videos, looks like a good product.

Installed a Pats today. Eazy Peazy to install and use. My top link is stretched to its limit tho on the box blade but I’ll pick up a size long at TSC.

If all your attachments can fit a regular quick hitch. Then you're better off using one. You don't have to get off tractor to connect the top link. And you don't have to deal with a spacer bar each and every time .

I bought one through harbor freight and I didn't need any bushings on that and it's got adjustable hook on the top

I haven't gotten 2 implements yet with the same configuration. My finished mower, brush cutter, and Pole boom all have different measurements and aren't compatible with my quick hitch. I don't understand why there's no specific measurements across all the companies. It's a standard for cat1, cat 2, cat3 but nothing for the implement to have a standard.

I have a harbor freight quick hitch, and I’ll never used the adapters for the bottom links and use my implements just fine, you do know that the top link that’s fixed and has the bushing on it is for the top hook on your quick hitch, now the only thing I did was weld the top hook so I can still hook up to my implements that aren’t compatible, but like you said to each is there own, I like not having to get off my tractor to hook up any thing. I hook up and go

If American tractors switched to the European hook system for their three point connections that Pat's system is based on, it would retroactively solve a lot of connection issues. Pat's system is the best bridge across normal 3 point, quick hitch and European hook system. Courtesy of American ingenuity!!
@MrPrediluted

My tractor came with these... Promptly broke the u-bolts 2x in an hour using a box blade. The way it hinges at the end of the three point arms makes it fine for pulling implements, but if you are pushing backwards (like with a box blade) it puts force up on the hitch and readily breaks the u bolts. Other thing to be aware of is it pushes the hitch point back 3-4" from the standard arms, which can impact how it hooks up to some PTO implements. I have a speeco now and it's perfect for my application.

I really think anyone that would ask that question doesn't have a lot of experience with implements. I chose the Pat's Easy Hitch also. The top link is never a problem and I have to get off the tractor to connect the PTO anyway.

Ask tractor Mike has a video comparing the Pats to several other brands of quick hitches. I am 99% sure that I am going with Pats. I’m like you, hooking up the top link is not that big of a deal, especially if you have a hydraulic top link, which is something that i am also going to purchase. They make the box blade and the land plane much easier to use.

‘Quick hitches’ are a joke. Until the multitude of manufacturers get their act together and standardize their products the Quick hitch will continue to suck hind tit and disappoint folks and cost them extra money. Until they do buy a Pat’s and call it good. Waiting for mine to arrive, can’t wait. Thanks for a great video!👍

I absolutely hate quick hitches! I've always thought it was strange that tractor manufactures don't all offer quick couplers from the factory similar to the pats system, I have seen them on the larger farm tractors...

I should of got this set up instead of my I match quick hitch, 😒 not every implement brand is compatible with it.
@D70340
@D70340 2 года назад
Pat`s is a good option for those who have mismatched implements. But if all your implements are matched (like mine are), quik-hitch is the ONLY way to go. My QH05 qwik-hitch fits every implement i own. Pats system is not an option for me, its to slow. I can change ALL my implements without ever getting off my tractor. My QH system is snatch-n-go in a second. Time is money, for me. I can`t waste time getting off/on my tractor for hooking & unhooking like pats system. Whatever works for you best.
