Nothing wrong with living in a van. Or in a car, truck whatever. It is what it is. We do what we can to survive. Rent is ridiculously high and buying a house is expensive . I would live in a van too if I have to.
I was feeling kinda lost in life for a while, so one weekend I decided to go on a camping trip for a weekend and just kinda reflect on everything. I jumped in my old Dodge van and took off. Well I didn't come back for 10 years. That was grand. From surfing at the tip of Baja-California Sur to the Canadian coatline. I have a Ford RV van now, and I am about to pick up another Dodge hightop van that I've made a deal for. I've learned so much. I don't think I can go back to city life anymore, although I am stuck in the suburbs right now taking care of an elderly woman during a pandemic. Not much longer. Good luck man.. ::)
It doesn’t matter what kind of van you get you’ll always make it work for you I have a Kia Pregrio cargo van which I converted myself into a camper and I made it work for me you’ll work out what works for you and what doesn’t
Subscriber #58! Let's grow together fam! I'm making moves now to do this too and I relate to a lot of your reasons. Personally I want to pay down debt. The plan is to funnel all the money that would normally go to rent into my debt to pay it off faster. Why pay all that money just to sleep right?! Once my debt is paid I can do whatever I want 😉 love your down-to-earthiness. Keep keepin it real 👌
Nice man, go for it! I paid off the rest of my student loans, invested in the stock market, and still have a decent amount left to buy a house once the real estate market crashes. Crazy how fast the cash stacks when you don't have to pay rent!
Somedays I just want to sell everything I own and move into a van like you have. My family and friends will freak the fuck out. But the monetary savings are worth it.
You have a great sense of humor. I think that plays a lot in your ability to take on new challenges. I also follow Our Soul Agenda. They are from Oakland and just took a trip down to Mexico in their Dajiban.
I got thrown out by cheating partner lived in my truck until friend lat me stay while getting my house renovated was in relationship too long 18yrs what waste of love time lov the kids grown now never hear from them
Really good. I bought mine with 210k on it and have put 20k since. No issues other than normal for a car with that kind of mileage. Just make sure you keep up with maintenance. Yours will last you the rest of your life lol. The 318 is known for its toughness
hi dude, i'm from russia. I also have a Dodge Ram Van B250 at 5.2. but the question is different. I noticed the ventilation in the roof. is it aliexpress or something else? I also want to fit the stamping size. maybe there is a link.
Meh, I don't get embarrassed easily. It just made more financial sense considering how much housing costs. So it's not that I was broke, because I could have easily gotten another apartment, but I don't really care where I sleep. I don't use housing for anything else except to sleep. The rest of the time I'm either at work, the gym, or out. It was a waste to me. The only downside is with the ladies, but a lot of them are accepting of it too, more or less. If she doesn't accept it, then she wasn't the one anyway.
