Why I display my books backwards (bookshelf roast & makeover) 

I love the Witch at Blackbird Pond, i reread it often as well. One main thing I loved about it was the discussion and descriptions of food. I'm a big fan of books that had talked about food.

There is a UK celebrity who bought a load of books based on the colours of the jackets rather than the content. My sister and I have made fun of this on several occasions.

Do not care how people keep their books, we will never be able to be in someone else “shoes” so the judgement is very revealing of the people who object, displacing their own insecurities and shortcomings onto a person who is very secure and comfortable with themselves - hoping to drag them down to their bitter and sad mental state - bitter and insecure people always telegraph their mental and emotional state online. You don’t have to explain because those people don’t deserve one. When I worked as a writer there were times of the year where I could not do any reading whether it was the local newspaper or books I loved and frequently would refer - any association with the work I did kept me in work mode and I needed a reprieve to keep my mind fresh - one solution was to purchase a shelf with doors I could close so I wouldn’t see my references books and books I loved to read. So turn your books any which way you like.

This is actually a good idea. I'm normally disappointed when I see youtubers' book collections because they are usually lame and predictable. Turning them backwards prevents this and leaves an air of mystery like "Maybe he/she is reading something that isn't awful."

Teresa, I would never call you a sociopath. Semi-Sociopath, perhaps!😆Seriously, your posts are unique and thought-provoking. Who else could make a video about backward shelved books so entertaining? I'm also simpatico about your privacy. I write a blog about comic books but my online presence is scarce and I also am pretty private. I also would like to compliment yo u on your skills presenting your You Tube pieces. They also point to your skills as a writer. It all comes together. Thanks again for providing a skillful, entertaining and one-of-a-kind presentation.

H.R. Giger let his lawn get overgrown. Im guessing his studio kinda looKed like a coroner's office. Giger was in a funk one day and GWAR crossed his path that day and they cheered him up. I guess you could say GWAR was his ideal house guests.

I am a huge hostile aesthetic enthusiast! To this day I wrap all my books in brown paper, preferably cut from slightly dogeared grocery bags.

Wow. That's quite a cliffhanger, Teresa. Showing us that stack of your work was the highlight of this video as far as I'm concerned, especially when you describe some of your earlier work as containing "psychologically disturbed" sorts. Maybe you should employ a nom de plume so as not to mix this channel with your writing life. Or are you doing that already?!? (Come to think of it, using a pen name is sort of sociopathic in its own right, no?) 🤔
