I was set free from celebrating these holidays nearly 11 years ago. At first it was hard because in a way I had to break up with my family/friends. (around the holidays) Some are Christian, some are not. Christians seem to take the news the worst. My grandma even called me selfish and cursed at me. Even with all that, it was the best decision I made. Unfortunately, it's all around us every year, and that's annoying. I'm now doing my best to raise 4 children to love the Lord and also know the truth. It can get uncomfortable when my kids tell other kids that Santa isn't real and Christmas isn't about Jesus.

My family and I stopped celebrating Christmas about 6-7 years ago after reading this book on the origin of it. It was kinda hard for me to let it go back then because I really believes in it as a kid. I remember my mother told me that St Nicholas is in our hearts if we believed.... So I really did 😒 Plus Christmas music, movies made me super nostalgic but thank God I'm over that now.

Carly Ann...I stopped celebrating ALL holidays AND birthdays two years ago. It was a VERY difficult decision for me because I am a grandmother and I was concerned my sons would be offended and my grandchildren would be hurt. Well, it was the opposite!!! My sons were RELIEVED to have one less celebration/gifts/etc. to worry about. My grandchildren didn't need my gifts along with all the other gifts they receive during these times. I can still give a gift, but my grandchildren would rather have my time and attention anyway. I don't even participate in Mother's Day so my sons are really off the hook about gifts for me!!! Not even a card!! No birthday parties! I'm very much at peace with my decision. It has worked out beautifully for me. Once you turn from all of these godless celebrations, you will find yourself repulsed by them. Satan definitely wants to keep God's people in bondage to these holidays and birthdays, it weakens God's people spiritually. God bless you as you serve Him and seek His Truth!

This year, God has truly opened my eyes to all of these lies. My brother just suddenly told the whole fam that he won't celebrate this year's Christmas. He explained it to us and I was shocked because it's my first time knowing that this holiday has pagan history. I thought, my church and my school didn't teach us any of this! Obviously, my religious parents persecuted him. So I tried researching on my own, I also started reading the Scripture which really made me closer to Him. Anna, next time you have that conversation, bring out your bible and show them what and where it says about the holidays. You might have to get some other books to show just what pagan practices are involved..... You might try and get a copy of "The Two Babylons" by Alexander Hislop, a mid 19th century catholic priest. You can go to your nearest library. They will either have it at the library or be able to get it from a state library on loan. It that don't work, you can go on line to read it or buy a copy. It's my parents and i's first year not celebrating Christmas/Thanksgiving/Easter/Halloween. It definitely is crazy how the majority of the rest of the world thinks that I am now crazy for not celebrating. I know in my heart that it is the right thing to not celebrate, and I definitely won't ever give in to society's standards to celebrate ever again after learning the truth of it all. The thing that I find to be funny that I worry about the most is that now, with my new beliefs, it will be harder to date when in reality I have to remind myself that God will guide me to the right man that will love and accept me for who I am and what my beliefs are.
That's a good point. Celebrating his fleshly birth focuses on his flesh. But Jesus lived his life by the Spirit of God, not by his carnal flesh. So celebrating his birthday is a carnal deed. Believers are told to commemorate his DEATH not his birth.

It is good to see young people coming out from all of this! I think people are in love with these holidays and substitute a lot of things for a true relationship with Jesus Christ. You are right that "people are going to do what they want to do" and that is hard for us to accept because we love them and want the best for them, which is life in Christ. We are saved by grace and so very grateful for it, aren't we? As a former Preacher's Kid, it is hard for me to accept that so much of what we call "Christianity" in America is pagan. I just learn about this last October, after I had already signed up to cook 5 dishes for our family Thanksgiving. I went ahead and cooked them up and dropped them off for them to enjoy. I told mom that I also wouldn't be able to celebrate Christmas with everyone. I had so much peace in honoring the Lord.

I too ask forgiveness for celebrating this pagan holidays, when your desire is nothing but to please and know Him more He will reveal more things to us of which pleases and displeases Him and enable us to obey....

It’s hard most Christians don’t understand or care when you tell them the origins of these pagan holidays. My husband tries to guilt me into celebrating, please pray that God will open his eyes.

A great question is why don't Christians celebrate the holy days that The Father instructs; Passover, First Fruits, Tabernacles, Pentecost... etc. It's because human traditions derived from satan have a grip on them. Thank you! I put in the search box why I don't celebrate Christmas. And I came across your video. I think you so much. I had never considered the nativity scene graven images. I have learned much else about Christmas because I have searched it out for myself. My Christian Church thinks I'm a little bit wacko, so does my family. However, it is the Lord's opening of me that I am concerned about. P. S. The verse about "raise up a child"..,, if we look at that through Hebraic, Jewish eyes, It means that as a child grows, the parents are to look for their natural God-given talents and gifts and help the child to go that way. Most 501c3 Churches are apostate. Don't attend services if they celebrate or put up a tree. It's mixing God's Holiness with paganism and God is not pleased. Judgment starts in the house of God. He'll judge the Church for her wickedness.
Joanne Gutierrez hi I just see your comment now.. we also do not celebrate and this last December 'holiday' we kept indoors and did not attend church as where we worship they make a big thing of DEC 25 th. It is winter here so it was easy to.stay indoors. What we have Been doing for some years is celebrating the Feasts of the Lord, as in the Bible.. we celebrated Hanukkah at the beginning of December. Don't go to that church. Simple. Listen to Josh's videos and Zac Poonen videos instead. Most Christian Churches are lukewarm anyways...if they celebrate Christmas, there is your answer. Lukewarm....

Great work. Someone who actually covered every corner of the paganism of christmas. But remember, we can't tell those who worship vainly that they will inherit the eternal kingdom. If we are enmity against the Holy one, we are in opposition. It's certainly not our job to say anyone will be eternally condemned either, but we must reprove out of love in power. I just figured this out last Christmas. I tried to somewhat celebrate Hanukkah by myself at night. But, I let the rest of my family have a tree. I felt like ppl would think I was crazy. I didn't know what to do how to transition

Hi Josh You quoted from Gods law In Deuteronomy 7:26 and I've just watched another video that you denounce the Torah so you cant have It both ways, The Lord said to me "It Is I that makes a day holy not man" The colossians were being judged for keeping the Lords feasts spoken of In Lev 23 which all are there as prophetic markers and also remembrance that is our holy congregations, so when Paul says let no man judge YOU he is really talking to feast keeprs who are keeping the Lords biblical feasts, not people keeping pagan feasts If you read Lev 23, the word forever is written I think 3 times so please ask Abba for instructions God hates Traditions he loves his word, Jesus didn't die to take away our protection and Instructions, If sin is transgression of Gods law, dont you think that the devil will try and deceive us into transgression May the Lord bless you with a correction

I quit celebrating holidays a few years ago. I've worked in floral design for 16 years and am now realizing just how uncomfortable I am around holidays, arranging with eggs and ornaments and cornucopias. There are other elements of my job I disagree with as well, so I'm going to look elsewhere. A job can even become an idol if you won't leave to support your faith.
I was a delivery driver for a florist and I can see why people would get upset but the absolute over the top way they get upset when I would somehow mess up something on the delivery around holidays it will literally make a person crazy and it's the closest I've had to people completely losing it on me
@@davidc.8755 It's a difficult environment sometimes. You'd think they'd be friendlier around holidays, but Christmas and Mother's Day bring out the worst in a number of people.

My family also dont celebrate Christmas, we just hang up some lights and snow-themed deco...but we no longer put any religious significance to any of it. So no Santa, No Xmas Trees and No Nativity scene. ❄ During the eve of the 24th, we have a lovely lil dinner, and we usually go out on the 25th.
This is my first Christmas that Im not going to decorate but I will give presents because I love to give to people. I never did put anything Santa Claus in my house or told my kids about Santa because I didn’t want to tell them a lie. Its suppose to be about Jesus birthday but Santa gets celebrated more instead.

Thanks for preaching truth steadfastly! This is a struggle as we can be persecuted, but it is worth the sacrifice, to walk in God’s truth in obedience. So many are afraid to preach this!
