To everyone that says things like "why did you expect perfection" and "what did you expect with a new company" and "they're new, of course there's issues". I get your points. Being a new company isn't a new concept. But when you are interviewing for a new job, you're not expected to be a master at the position. You're expected to be competent. Someone that can do the job that's asked. Someone that matches standard expectations as written in the job description. And then walk the talk when you actually get hired. In my experience with Fisker, they lied on their resume, gave fake examples in the interview, and then showed a lack of competency with full insubordination when they got the job. For this, yes, they did not meet expectations. Failure is fine for anyone, new or established. It's 100% how you adjust to failure that matters.
Sorry to hear it, I dropped my reservation and didn't take delivery, lost 5K. I was already hearing issues buzzing around deliveries and when watching the company's focus, they were more worried about world domination then in trying to get a car delivered, making sure it worked properly and establishing good support and service. had people telling me the company show be expanding and launching worldwide, it's how you grow. Well, not hearing anything good about the car or company.
Clear, succinct summation response @adamninja I appreciate and respect your review with the details and insights you have provided so thank you! And hey, at least the matte deep blue color you selected was gorgeous 😍 here’s hoping your next car will be a better experience! As always, looking forward to what you bring to YT 🤩
@@davidmason3850I think that price will keep coming down. People's cars are starting to brick, accelerators are failing, windows are getting stuck open, the promised 2.0 software is still bad, and service is remarkably even worse now. I wouldn't buy one for anything over $5k in the current state. And I have a feeling we'll see them in the 20k range within a month on Autotrader
Hi there. I did file a Utah lemon law claim. Without documented repair attempts I couldn't get it solo. So I sought legal help and ran into the same hurdle. The best bet would have been if the tech directly called out both the repair attempts and failed repair outcome for each event. Which of course they didn't. And even that would be a shot in the dark.
The stock price says it all. Fisker is SUNK, and going to go bankrupt. Under $1 it will be delisted, then see who wants to invest in new models or the company. Your resale values will plummet and service will disappear in Chapter 11. I'd never buy a first gen EV or ICE car from a new company. Wait a few years, see what the problems are, resale values, stock price and profits are. From what I know, there are only 3 companies making money on EVs - BYD, Tesla, and Kia/Hyundai. Also, tech and batteries are getting way better, cheeper, etc. You'll be able to buy a new better and cheeper EV in a few years - look at Teslas. Most experts agree Tesla is 5+ years ahead on all tech, add full self driving and that will be a game changer. Lots of EV bankruptcies already and many more coming. Good choice for cashing out now and not in 6 months or a year. Fisker is SUNK - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MeGyqPqWmi4.html
I love my ocean it’s the best car I’ve ever had. And my last car was the Tesla Y. To each their own I guess. Everything you said that was wrong with the car is already fixed with software updates and 2.0. I’ve had none of your problems. Maybe update your car?
Oh FFS. That's why One owners got perks. If you wanted a perfect car you should have either waited a year or got a Toyota... Makes a lot of sense getting rid of it when the software is improving. BTW Couldn't it be that your Tech was simply incompetent? Not true that Fisker doesn’t provide a list of repairs. A RU-vidr named "Fisker Ocean One FOO and FOT" reads the list aloud in one of his videos.
@@adamninjaBTW Some people have commented on the strange timing of this video (just before earnings) but to me it seems genuine so as a Fisker shareholder I would like to say sorry for all the problems you had and I feel it would be good if someone from the Fisker customer relations team contacted you to say sorry for the bad experience you had. Of course it wouldn't change much for you but it would be the right thing to do...
I live in a high crime area of LA and have decided to purchase a Fisker Ocean because no one in their right mind would want to steal one. I appreciate this video and thanks for sharing.
Yeah... I foresaw issues. I had a deposit on it and once they started being deceptive with clearly showing the interior, I jumped ship. Every time they showed the car at their pop ups, it was a non-functioning preproduction model (which was terrible). Even AFTER the functional testers were made, they never showed the interior. They never offered test drives until AFTER some already got their cars. And then, you have the people that wanna get rich quick and have poorly invested in this company hoping it'll be the next Tesla. Nope. Not gonna happen. After all of this, mainstream reviews of this car are STILL basically non-existent. Hard pass.
I to returned my FOO after 4 months back to Fisker UK due to safety & software issues. I received a full refund after waiting 14 days after returning. Good luck to those FOO owners.
You know, I know you don’t have this in the US. But I bought a Volkswagen ID.3 (small hatchback ID.4) and it was also delivered with software issues. You know what VW did? What Fisker should’ve done. They apologized, called my vehicle in, updated it and fixed the issues. I’m very dissapointed with Fisker on this. Doesn’t exactly instil confidence in anything Fisker is planning on doing in the future. Great video.
@@L4DProductions a Volvo. It is drastically better and a pure treat to drive. And phenomenal customer service as well. When the weather permits, I'll make some videos.
These start ups EV companies have you guys spending $70,000 hard earned dollars to buy these things on line as if they were cell phones and lap tops. Stop doing that!
@@adamninjathey won't stop supporting warranties...they won't be allowed to with cars still on the road. The government would step in if needed. That said 2.0 fixed majority of the issues. By the time they release 3.0 later this year, itll be fine.
@@shhs6127 No, I don't have one but I know someone who does...drives it daily and it has no issues except that the key fob doesn't have great range. The last update fixed the annoying issues. I think it's a great EV. A lot better than most. It's a shame they went bankrupt when they finally had a decent vehicle.
Geez, at the price this car is selling it is probably either Fisker wants to scam people because he is building a visual appealing vehicle but materials used are garbage although he boosts that they are environmentally friendly or he is trying to get a huge margins from them which from their latest Q4 23 report they are underwater by a lot -35%, so why did this happen to you, it seems fishy that so many problems exists and yet he paints a rosy picture in his videos. Nissan got to get to the bottom of these issues with him and drive the line in the sand to make this work. He should stop denying AP reports that it is Nissan the OEM, this is a problem he has always lying.
Ever since fisker started promoting I realized his goal was to promote himself and his ego. He was in every add and every post and every promo. The cars where literal and figurative “vehicles “ to promo his ego
All 100% completely true coming from a pissed off Fisker owner here. I actually got to speak to one of the “mangers” and of course he didn’t follow up with a single thing and has now ghosted me. I asked if they had a buy back program and told him someone is going to get killed in one of these cars. Absolute worst operations team of any company auto or otherwise I have ever dealt with. 0.0
Good God. The people that try to silence any criticism of Fisker sound like people trying so hard to pump their hype stocks. If you really want the company’s stock to go up, the company needs to be run by competent management. Not a CEO that is going to pressure his employees to rush production. Edit: PS. I’m really sorry you had to go through this. I can tell it was a really tough decision for you to make.
I feel bad for Ocean owners but why the heck would anyone buy a Fisker car when they previously went bankrupt with the Karma??? Similarly, the Karma was a sleek looking vehicle with muliple problems. Fisker is a sham, claiming to sell state of the art high tech cars.
I had pretty much the same experience, although title went smoothly. Received the car the first week of October, I was rear ended 5-weeks later. Car was still driveable, but Fisker was absolutely not ready to deal with repair parts. There wasn’t even a parts listing or pricing for those parts until late January Accessories were only delivered the first week of February, which was the week I sold the car. Weekly calls to open tickets - always told would be escalated, and no one ever got back to me. AC vents broke the first week, and were never fixed. After being stranded multiple times, Fisker did contract with someone to come out and replace the 12v battery. They also had someone manually update the software to 1.10 at the Vista center, before it was opened. I actually sold my FOO for a $300 profit above taxes. I suspect I am the only fisker owner who will ever say they made a profit. This was only achieved by the accident (uninsured driver…). After the Fisker authorized repair center finally got a parts listing & pricing, they generated a repair estimate of over $25k. My insurance didn’t total the car & wrote me a check. That check plus carmax plus tax credit, gave me a tiny profit - thank you so much to the guy who hit me! I replaced it with a 2024 BMW IXl. It’s a little slower accelerating - Fisker was more fun there. The IX is far superior in every other way - everything works well.
Had a 48 mile round trip commute to work. Driving on the freeway for most of it, at around 70-80 mph. Would consume about 90 miles of range - so not quite double. Same trip with the BMW IX, same conditions & IX is a much bigger vehicle - it consumes about 60 miles of range. Key fob - absolutely. I kept batteries in the car, kept the fob in a pouch, with spare batteries. 28 days was the longest I ever made without changing batteries. It stranded me a couple of times before I figured out I needed to swap batteries so often. Just a terrible car. It was pretty, but needed another year or two for development. The company will be bankrupt in 2024
Lemon law - same experience. I could not get proof of case numbers. They constantly closed out cases and then were surprised on my weekly calls, and had to open new case numbers. I originally tracked my tickets, but gave up after a while. I realized it would be extremely difficult to meet the criteria for lemon law resolution
Thanks for sharing this! Glad you were able to end up on top after all of that. I also appreciate the comparison you gave of your new BMW with things like range. I'm noticing the exact same thing with my new vehicle. The Fisker was fast, but that's about it.
@@adamninja just to add on the range. With the FOO, I drove Eco mode on the freeway, and fun around town. I never really used hyper. ECO burned the 90 miles of range, and Fun took it to about 110. I don’t even drive with the BMW’s Efficient mode, which was the most energy saving. I’m getting the 60 miles with its blended mode, which I guess would be the closest to Fun. In all cases, Fisker is dead man walking. It won’t be around by the end of this year, unless it gets bought.
Hey Adam sorry to hear about your bad experience. I had reserved one back in 2021 and things happened that forced me to make a buying decision before it was released , best move ever buying a different car I’m hurting on stock as well because I was invested and believed in Fisker , I hope they turn it around but the software from the jump was trash along with a sub par chip and lousy customer service they called me to see if I want to test drive and the girl was laughing having another conversation with someone when she called. This company is a real joke damn shame dope looking crossover
@@adamninjaWell, Fisker is a startup, that comes with significant risk when it comes to the stock. I hope you didn't invest a significant amount of money, because that would not have been the smartest move.
Henrik Fisker has had a long line of eponymous car companies, each one of which featured a car that he himself designed (he was considered a celebrity car designer being credited with designing the BMW X5, BMW Z8 and the Aston Martin Vantage). Fisker Coachbuild, Fisker Automotive, HF Design and VLF Automotive all promised a sexy, sporty car with impressive features, but each company ended up as a big, smoking hole in the ground. Meanwhile Fisker was able to pocket investor money for himself and somehow he was able to continue to raise new investor dollars for his next scheme. When the current Fisker Inc went public via a SPAC transaction, it's believed that Henrik was able to cash out a pretty healthy chunk of money to buy a new $20MM house for he and his wife Geeta, who was also appointed as CFO of the company. He may be a great car designer, but he is a terrible businessman, or worse yet a criminal.
This has nothing to do with the car and everything to do with your own ineptitude to realize something significant in your own life. Stop being a sad jealous human being and try to realize your own dream and fortune.
OMG! So sorry you have had to deal with this. I started getting a really bad feeling about the future prospects and cancelled my One order right after the very first deliveries and just threw away $5000. Dumped my stock at around $2. Now I am so relieved. Well worth losing the 5k, Jeez!
If one does their due diligence, why would you purchase such a piece of crap, creating such aggravation for yourself, more options out there. Don't get it.
Yeah easy suggestion. Would make more sense for anyone buying one now. And not being one of the first 50 people to get one. If you didn't know, this was a pure false advertisement and essentially a rug pull. Over promised, hardly delivered
Adam, sorry you had to deal with all that pain and mess. I would probably get rid of FOO also. Hopefully you didn’t lose much on sale. I’m lucky, since I purchased it in September, I had only minor issues, with the latest version 1.11 key fob working quite well, not perfect, but much better than with original 1.07 version. I think we’re beta testers. And the car is hit or miss, based on other owners reviews, including yours. Again, I’m one of the lucky ones, and overall I’m happy with build quality, and I see the software improvements coming with each new update. But as you said, we all have different experiences. Good or bad. Good luck with your next car, I’m sure you’ll be happy with your next vehicle. I really liked your reviews and will miss them. All the best!😊
@adamninja completely agree with your thoughts and feelings. I bought a FOE in the UK and was under the impression that all will be good with the promise updates and future enhancements. But as I have learnt the expensive (not finished product) way, we were sold a something which that has very little credibility now. I have contemplated so many times how I can get rid of this car as there is No support in the uk anymore. No dealerships and the one showroom they have in the middle of the country don’t even pick up the phone. I love how it looks and many of the quirks it has but the most important thing to me is aftercare and I’ve had none since reporting multiple issues. If people who one the car still want to keep there’s then that perfectly fine but I think k Fisker should reach out to unsatisfied customers and offer to buy the car back or provided some form of compensation for all the issues the car has.
You were lucky to still have gotten money for it. Since most likely Fisker will go bankrupt within the coming months, resell value will deop to zero soon. Because that means: no maintenance, no spare parts, no warranty (crucial!) and no software updates ( which is essential given the state it is in now)
Magna built the car for Fisker so most likely has parts? This sounds like a “catalog” car. Elon has preached you just can’t buy parts from a catalog or use from a shelf. The software must be designed from ground up to connect all parts Ford found out the hard way & stated they don’t communicate & ford has to try to connect:communicate with them all.
Sort of like me buying my 2011 Saab 9-5 …..just my story is not quite as horrific. I actually still own mine sitting at 99600 miles. It is sitting waiting on parts But it has been fairly reliable overall. Thank god it shared the GM Epsilon platform so most parts are easy ish to get. I would say I have only experienced 50% of your nightmare. Sorry bro. How much money did you lose on yours? I haven’t seen the end of the video yet.
I traded it in to a dealer that offered cash. I went to a few and they all gave the same trade amount. Now though, with the public BK notice and Fisker admitting they have no money, I think it'd be harder. Best bet would be to try one of the direct places like CarMax or Caravana
Before I bought a car , I’ve turned all info cites upside down. Dug up all dirty secrets and all stuff like that. After that went to dealer. How happened people decided to own a very pricey black cat? Plethora of bad feedback reports, so on…
whats funny ( and criminal) is that these cars are still listed for 30k on numerous sites. The real world value is about 5-7 k for the battery.. thats it
I like that people in the comments are like, why not just update your car lol. You literally laid out everything that’s happened with you and Fisker. Some will always just stay on Henrik side no matter what
@@alatmancave7093 no one said Tesla was perfect. But they do complete those updates a lot quicker than Fisker does. Also with only 3k cars on the road, you would think service would be a lot better. Owning an early Model S, the service Tesla provided was a lot better than what Fisker is offering.
I find this VERY SAD. EV's manufacturers "need to be on their P's and Q's" when engineering these vehicles. "THEY MUST WORK; out the door". So much is riding on the success of EV's.....Big oil and crazy detractors "want the replacement of ICE vehicles "to fall flat on its face" to keep the polluters in business.......This just isn't good
That’s really a terrible dangerous vehicle. I think the lesson we all need to learn is that automakers make EV’s like Verizon makes cell phones. Too many start up companies without a long successful track record. Too many special features, too many electronic components, and constant software updates. When a company introduces a new car. Do not purchase the legacy first year launch edition models. Do not pre-order. Let other people do that. Purchase one new after it has been around for 3 years and all the bugs are worked out..
I feel so bad for what you went through!!! I’m glad I never put any deposit on the Fisker Pear which I now think is just a scam to get more investors money 💰 but didn’t work!!! My 2019 Bolt EV seems flawless compared to the Ocean.
Incredible. Maybe we should go for less automation in our cars? Too many new problems are a result of complex software. This affects EVs more significantly as they need to monitor and adjust more subsystems. Fisker was specifically worse at mechanics and software quality apparently, though. Good thing they are no longer in business. You dodged a bullet by dumping it when you did.
Document everything. Certified letters with return receipt. CCTV where tech looks at vehicle. Video everything wrong. Lemon law does work those basic steps. I don't know anything about Fisker other than the negative YT videos. I have had a great experience with my Tesla Model Y.. I heard they had issues early on, but any vehicle can have problems. Also, if they have a mandatory arbitration/no class action clause - first thing you should do is send a certified letter opting out - as you are allowed to do within the first 30 days. Dont wait.
I really wanted this car to succeed so the next family car we would get could be a Fisker Ocean because it really does look nice and with all promised features it would also be a nice car.
All of these problems on this car, do you know what people were mad about Tesla when they came out fucking panel gaps if Tesla would’ve had all these problems, we wouldn’t be talking about the cyber truck today
Based on the video, sounds like the Ocean had some significant issues. For example, I wouldn't want regen braking locking brakes while driving. On other hand, quite a few issues were with the gadgets/trinkets: auto park, proximity sensors, cameras, cruise control, lane correction, automatic emergency brake, etc. That stuff is killing some of these vehicles with cost, support and aggravation. So glad I bought my $28K manual trans Bronco without all that junk (in my view). I enjoy manually operating vehicles and making most decisions myself. Somehow I've managed decades of driving without wandering off the road due to lack of lane keep assist, lol. A lot of people love that stuff though, maybe soon we will all be stuck with those items on our vehicles. As a guy who tends to hang onto vehicles for a long time, I cringe at the potential out of warranty costs for some of the trinkets when they have issues.
Great video! As a FOO owner I agree 100% with everything mentioned - I’m one of the customers and share holders that Henrik blocked on instagram when asking questions. I have over 10 documented issues with 1 tech showing up and 1 not showing up to my house. I have another tech showing next Thursday to install my AC vents. After taking ownership in early October, I just received my plates and title on Feb 26th. I want to sell but I have 3 scratched rims from delivery, plus a host of other issues that need to be fixed, including the exterior pedestrian audio sound. Id also rather not lose $20k+ to sell it but I may have to.
I'll admit, I knew the car would have plenty of issues and am considering buying their heavily discounted 2023 models they announced today, but after watching your video I'm pretty convinced if I purchased one then 6 months from now when Fisker doesn't exist I'm going to have have to live on a pray that I don't have issues since I couldn't get it service. Good timing on selling the car!
Im not sure about "alot of people being happy about this car". I don't see them anymore here on the roads of Richmond BC Canada. The only place I see them now is in marketplace selling for around 40k CAD (good luck if anyone buys them for that price). The only time people will be happy about this vehicle is if they sold for 5-10k.
At the time of making this video (last February) there was a large stubborn group of owners that refused to admit the flaws of the car and supported it unconditionally. They also adamantly shot down any content that talked negatively about the car. This led to Fisker being able to ignore customer demands and continue mishandling of funds. Unfortunately for the stubborn buyers back then, they either now have a brick, or unloaded it for significantly less. Either way, they're definitely not happy now.
Very thought out and a bit long but, as a ocean one owner, i agree with most of what you've experienced. The car was rushed and the logistics were a shit show. My wife drives that car and uses it as a daily commuter. She enjoys the ride and lives with the quirks. She is a trooper and she shouldn't have to after investing $70+ on a new vehicle. It's our first EV and we are learning. It is hard not being able to take the car somewhere and physically deal with someone about these issues. My only rebuttal to this is that I accepted a risk with Fisker. The vehicle is solid minus the lack of quality software implementation and features. Fisker did promise chipset and other rewards upgrades to compensate those owners that did take the leap of faith after lowering the prices on their vehicles. I didn't experience ALL the issues you outlined but do empathize having those same frustrations. It was a large investment and it definitely doesn't meet my expectations either. On the other side, they actually delivered a vehicle and i would like to see things change. It's solid and if they get their software fixed (and keyfob ;-))...it can rival current offerings. Guess we'll see.
This is why you don't buy a new car, especially from a startup... TBH, you don't buy a brand new model even if it is a Toyota... Last but not least, do you know how many cars Tesla and Toyota recalled the last 12 months...???
you took a chance and decided to be a guinea pig. your choice, i have reservation since 2021, and have been offered to take delivery og my sport version, but i refused, will wait another year as i dont trust company yet. if i loose the $250 let it be then,
You are right on point with the FISKER review. This was a strange car from the beginning. When they unveiled the car was with everything include then they started to remove features based on trim. Fast forward, as you well said, there are thing with this car that are not acceptable in an EV in 2024. There are thing that you expect with an EV in 2024 and they for some reason wants to reinvented the wheel. I was an early reservation holder and I'm glad that I cancel the car.
Not to mention no reviews. A lot of early buyers were complaining that almost no one had driven, let alone reviewed the car. I watch/listen to a lot of Out of Spec on youtube. They know a lot of the reviewers. They said Fisker did send Oceans to them, but they all bugged out or bricked.
The NHTSA should ban these from being sold in the US with the many safety issues I've seen in customer reviews. Imagine driving 70 MPH on a busy freeway and your brakes lock up on their own! Besides, Fiskar looks to be going bankrupt again. Parts and service will also disappear, so you'll be stuck with an undrivable vehicle, soon to be in a junk pile at some recycling plant.
Great video. Rejected taking delivery of my FOO at the Danish dealership. Poor communication, 1 hour late...and then they hadn't checked that the basics were working! So I waited another 2 hours and they couldn't fix it, so I agreed to give them some more time. I didn't hear from them for another 4 days...and then I just cancelled the order. They felt they were doing me a favour by "allowing" me to become beta-tester, rather than me doing them a favour by paying full price for an incomplete/faulty product. My exact words were: "these guys are going bankrupt. They have no clue how to deal with customers". I got a full refund reasonably quickly, to be fair. Maybe because they, by mistake, had transferred the title to me...but still. No complaints on that part.
Sorry you had all these issues. I'm glad there are people brave enough to try these new EVs. I'm Tesla for life, but I like the look of the Fisker Ocean. Sounds like the Fisker software isn't ready and that Customer Service is pretty terrible. I'm not sure how Fisker is going to survive all of this. That regen brake-slamming at 70-80 would be horrifying. I don't like automated handles. What if someone you don't trust is near you while you're near your car...the car just unlocks? Not a good idea. Walk-away locks are bad too, because a thief can get into your car before it locks. The light background music does nothing for this video. It's a bit of a distraction really and will make me stop watching your videos early.
They did Prancer reviews: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Hsof-2aHSOU.html "Life is about adventure, it's about uncertainty, it's about not knowing what will happen when you strap your loved ones inside a car and drive them down the block. The Prancer gives you that uncertainty and that's why we like it" The Tartan Prancer might just have it's first real competition!🤣
My Tesla has had most of these issues in my ownership but it's now a four year old car and they have been resolved, most of them quickly and a huge amount of those issues were a faulty seat sensor. Sounds like Fisker should have spent time on the Tesla groups before launching to see what issues they might run in to. If Tesla launched a new car now with problems like this I would absolutely not buy it.
I agree. The fortunate side of Tesla with that history is they actually ended up having a lot of financial backing too. Right before they almost considered selling the brand. It looks a little more grim for Fisker. And they definitely should have used existing data to solve problems before they got them.
I traded it in back in Feb, before making this video. Unfortunately I think the trade in window might be closed or closing. I found my same car for sale in CA, and I can officially buy it back for less than I traded it for. You could try private party sales on something like Autotrader tho. I think the lowest price is already around $35k
Around here on Carvana the Fiskers are going low to mid-40K. There super low mileage around 2K and one only has 800 miles on it. I wonder if they would take 10K cash?
I honestly think a $10k price tag is pretty believable within a year or so. The Ocean Ones are already hitting $30k for dealer sold prices. And it keeps dropping.
Sure thing. It actually is pretty rough to take care of. You can use self serve car washes but really only for a hot water rinse and soap. I just used a two bucket car wash method by hand at home though. And even drying the car needs microfiber towels in straight long wipe downs and no circular motions to dry it. The matte finish is way more delicate than a gloss finish and can get ruined super easily. The biggest thing is to just never take it through an automated carwash and never use wax.
@@adamninja This is very helpful. I am buying an Ocean this week & like the look of the matte finish but concerned with how much extra work it is to take care of. I'm going to go with a standard Silver paint instead. Thanks!
So you decide to get rid of it straight before the new software updates? Seems unfair to me... In the Internet I have seen ppl "reviewing" things, e.g. making very clear, that they are unable to use a simple electric drill properly but hate the devide and the company...
You really did get a bad car didn't you! I can't say I have experienced much of what you have, but I'd have got rid of mine if I'd had the same issues. Fortunately I have a decent fob and a mostly decent car (I hope). Thanks for sharing
I stopped at you running over garbage cans and hitting the side of your own house. Sorry, As a driver, you own those responsibilities. Full stop. Thanks for your opinion
Anyone that followed various Fisker owners groups on Facebook should have seen this fiasco coming from a mile away. I just don’t know why people went through with car deliveries? I had One on order, but after seeing mountains of issues consumers faced after delivery,I just decided not to go through with the purchase. Even if it meant losing 5k deposit. Luckily my credit card dispute and I got my money back. Fisker is amateur hour ,complete joke of a company. Good on you Adam for getting this video out.
Tech got the glue off 3 months later, but it ruined the plastic. He was trying to order a new part for it and doing all he could to swap it, but they sent him the wrong part about a month later. I felt bad for him tbh.
How could they send him the wrong part? Isn't there a part number? He surely asked for the wrong part. Really sounds like the Tech was totally incompetent.
I think the car looks pretty nice but clearly it has some build issues and serious software issues to solve. It's noteworthy that Fisker doesn't actually build the cars, they outsource manufacture to an Austrian company called Magna Steyr which has built quite a few brand named cars.
@@martinmcnulty8155ive realised you're not an employee, you're a shareholder. Same thing as far as objectivity is concerned - you have none. My agenda is to point out to everyone that your comments are totally selfish and not helpful at all. Its all about you.
So many of the Ocean Ones are hitting used car dealerships after only a few hundred or a few thousand miles. That's not a good sign. A $69K vehicle ...start up or not... shouldn't be having this many problems.
You see so many for sale because they expected a different vehicle. They expected no buggy software or hiccups. 2.0 is here and problems will be solved. And they all got the $7500 tax credit for the ones so they are selling them for lower because they can. So you take a few software problems, people entitled for more so they think plus the tax credit back. If you look at all new models from legacy automakers or a new body style for a model the first ones always have problems. People didn’t understand this going into getting a brand new vehicle from a new company
I agree that we were led to expect something different. But I think it would be more correct to say 2.0 is here, and we, again, EXPECT it to solve the problems. There is no guarantee, and I highly doubt we won't still see customers with issues. And anything missed, can and will very easily just turn into a "3.0 release" excuse.
Of course it was predictable that the first car in the first year of a startup would have problems... Most Fisker owners have a great attitude and have learned to live with the small issues. IMO The problem here was that the Tech was incompetent.
