Patrick told me normal car wash soaps are fine. I won't be driving mine in the winter so I shouldn't have any concerns there.

German Z you could do it yourself with carpro cquartz for $50 if you want to. I’m a detailed and That’s the coating I use

My detailer use to do my cars for $300. Honestly anything over $400 is just over priced. I use to be a detailer and sold my company to who does it for me now. Ceramic coating has been around for a while and people are just starting to know about it and get it all hyped up. Remember that this stuff only acts as a clear coat that’s .001inches thick and will get swirls easier if not taken care of or properly washed. Ceramic coating will not last more than a year especially the hydrophobic property’s you see for the first 2 months or so. If you love your car that much I recommend a simple clay/polish/glaze/wax for way less money every 3-4 months and look like a show car more than what coating looks. That’s what I do to my cars now. I pay around $60 for that . Obviously it’s going to be that price when your cars don’t have much to work on.

Thanks, yeah I plan to give an update at the end of the fall on both the XPEL and ceramic and will do another follow-up in 6 months or a year.

I did use a coating designed for paint protection film, see 2:41 in the video where the label clearly shows this. The coating does not cancel out the self healing properties of the XPEL, it only prevents the XPEL from needing to heal itself by helping to resist those impacts in the first place. The coating is scratch resistant so it's far more durable than the factory regular clear coat. It isn't scratch-proof but nothing out there is. This ceramic coating recommends a new 1 layer top coat once per year, but that's it and it takes the same amount of time as waxing would. No special maintenance products needed otherwise, I can wash like normal. I never expected the coating to protect against rock chips, that's what the XPEL is for underneath.

I'm hoping to not have too many rust issues since I don't plan to drive it during the winter.

Yep, ceramic coating over top of the xpel. To kind of simplify it, think of the xpel is screen protector on your phone and the ceramic as a really thick wax, but harder.

They're definitely a little better, they were improved on the 18s and I talked about it more in my 2018 Mustang review. As for the 12 speakers, I believe there's multiple speakers in a couple of the enclosures, I'll have to refresh my memory on where they're all at.

Lots have asked, the answer is it depends on the size of your car, the shop doing the work, how many layers you want, what brand you go with, etc. For my car, at this shop with this level of coverage it would be about $600.

The coating has a lifetime warranty if you keep up the 1 year maintenances. If you don't, I think they said it'll last 5 years.

For my car, at this shop, with the exact same products and coverage that I did, the window tinting is priced at $599, the ceramic is about the same, and XPEL would be another $2,500.

Paint code is B5 for the 2019 highland green. It's slightly more blue than the original Dark Highland Green though.

I got it backwards, the original 67/68 color was called just Highland Green, Ford on the Bullitt editions went back and forth with using Dark. The 2019 is called Dark Highland Green.

One of the owners commented on my Instagram. The middle one had Recaros, and it was number 0956. The one on the end was number 1813.

Yeah I think this was the first time 3 2019 Bullitts have been together outside of the factory.

What kind of opinion do you want? You're buying a used car, are you looking for advice on what to look for when buying a used car or just subtle bragging?

The V6 Mustangs are a great choice if it fits what you're looking for. As long as it has a clean CarFax and looks to have been taken care of well, it's worth considering. It's hard to say more without doing an inspection.

EcoBoost has more mod potential and more low-rpm power along with being a little more fuel efficient, V6 is more reliable and sounds better, but requires you to rev it higher to get the most out of it.

Thanks for sharing that! I did a little research and the worries he states about Ceramic don't seem to apply to Ceramic Pro. It doesn't require wet sanding to remove, it just requires a single buff with CarPro Essence. Most ceramic coatings don't require wet sanding actually. Also, the guy in that video owns a luxury wax company, so I'm not sure I trust him to be unbiased. I used to always wax my cars too, and it's still a fine choice if you like waxing a lot, but it still won't be as durable.

You think you know better than the hundreds of shops and thousands of cars that have this done? All the pro detailers that go to school for this stuff? Get real lol.

I have my certificates and was trained by the best. I also happen to own a detailing company which i sold. So yeah bro I’m as real as it gets. Sorry for the comment seeming a bit rude. But anyways, at the end of the day all detailers have different preferences. You could have 10 different shops recommend a ton of different products/methods and swear by it.

It's not $600 every year, it's $600 for the first application of the 5 layers, the touch up single layer recommended each year is free the first 2 years and then somewhere between $60-100 each year after that...

The wrap protects from impacts like rock chips, this just gives the paint a little more protection and shine than a wax would.

Thanks Matt for sharing.. could you say wrap the front only andnor most vuneralble impct areas or is it best to do whole car and ceramic coat the rest over the wrap..or would that not work well? or since you xpeled 1st then applied the ceramic would be similar to doing a wrap then ceramic? How much would a wrap cost if you could do only the front and hood? I was going to do a clear bra on front and hood lead edge for 1k how does a xpel compare to clear bra?

Pricing varies by car and shop. They also have different packages depending on how many coats you want.
