I left America to live in Morocco six years ago. One of the best decisions I've ever made in my life. May God bless this beautiful country and its beautiful people.

This is so funny because I had a "chance" to live in the US and long story short after 2years I came back home to Morocco. My fellow Moroccans felt like I didn't appreciate the chance that I had but man, I feel more human in Morocco than the US.

Looked up “moving to morocco” and this is as good as it gets. I am currently in Japan and largely dissatisfied with the void that’s here and life just goes by in a rush and hope to move to Morocco soon once I’m done with my commitments here. I feel like people in Morocco just live in the present with a great appreciation for the simple aspects of life and that’s what I really love and appreciate. Thank you for the encouragement and wise words there too. Now I have no second doubts !

Morocco will always have a special place in my heart as I spent 2 years of my childhood living there, and it really is a magical place with a rich history and a gorgeous country.

Hum, I'm a moroccan living in the US, studied and married here but I visit often, my plan has always been to save enough money to start a business in Morocco or at least retire in Morocco, I've lived in many countries in the past, and my homeland is a good country to live in if you have enough money to live the life you desire. I have an american friend who now lives in Casablanca, he teaches english to elementary school children and gets paid around 50-70$/h, considering the low cost of food in morocco, you can get youself a very nice appartment in a good area, eat and dress well, travel whenever (schools have a lot of holidays) and healthcare is cheaper there. So the fact you're a native english speaker opens the possibility of teaching english, if you haven't explored that option, I suggest you do, it can be a good start. Open those school textbooks to get an idea, make yourself presentable and go for it. Surfing is awesome in Casablanca. The weather is cool. People are more open-minded than one would think so you won't feel thaaaat homesick. Good luck in your new life
