This is one of strongest videos I have seen. He must be regretting the way he dealt with team. Success or big position doesn't just suit everyone, they might just mess it up and looks like he just messed up. It's high time people must know that take care of the employees and they will take care of the project/ organisation. No currency is bigger than respect/mental health. More power to you girl and always remember. Always remember : " kahin pohanchne k liye kahin se nikalna bahut zaruri hai. " And trust me you are reaching heights. ❤️🥳

Didi In IT you will get such people sometime or other wherever you go.If you want to have little self respect then join some product company,there also you might meet such people but chances bit less.Also one suggestion dont upload such stuff later it might spoil your career as other employers might be worried about your profile.Learn some technology and join some product company if you want to work in IT.Just a suggestion.You seem to be upright person which is very less these days ,best of luck for your career.

And in life you have to deal with situations....that's what life is..

This is more of an Indian cultural issue where people take great pride in behaving like a zamindar oppressing their juniors. Unfortunately most Indian managers take this crappy culture with them even on foreign lands. There could be exceptions and few nice managers here and there though and I don’t disagree with that.

I work in mindtree. I joined a project in March, where we had a manager and program director(Indian) who gave us a short term project that need to be completed in 2 months. The way they used to force to complete stuffs w.o giving proper KT was hell. If my mic has issue during client call it's my fault it seems. 24/7 unnecessary meetings then wen do we work? They wer expecting us to complete a task without even giving anything properly. I felt so pressurized. But thankfully covid saved me from that project. When i was back to ofc they gave my profile to another team in same project wer i started working for client directly. Trust me those leads r d sweetest. If my mic is having issues, they apologise to me literally, and if v r not able to complete a task, they help us a lot n even provide more time. The way they handle evrything is awesome. Never ever saw them rude. These Indian managers n leads r so rude n abusive. Hope they learn from them n these things change.

The new organization is very supportive & provides for growth in a very nice way !!! So now I can say not all IT companies are bad ,and a lot depends on your immediate manager . To be fair , I'd never prefer to join service sector companies like TCS , Infy, Cognizant , etc because they have no growth whatsoever. Its better to work for a startup & although working for a startup is insanely stressful , you get a lot of knowledge & there is insane growth. Add to that the fact that Google , Microsoft & other product companies prefer startup peeps over service sector peeps , it just becomes the cherry on top.

I have worked in a startup. The growth is okay but there is too much work pressure. No work-life balance. I have worked from 9 am to 11 pm daily. That's why I don't prefer startups. I mean, we have a life other than the job we're doing. 🤷
@tech_report_0868
@tech_report_0868 2 года назад
@@ksuman1763 Well that depends , some people for example are passionate about coding , they have no issue with working 9-11 (if you take a job as a job & do it only for the sake of completing it , then start up might not be the place for you). The work pressure is also one of the reasons why product companies prioritise hiring startup employees above service company chaps. Also , as far as growth is considered , I think there are startups that are paying hefty amounts & the chances of a guy ending up as CTO ( pays extremely well) is way higher in startups.

You have clearly called out issues which many people have in IT not specific to one company but unable to express. There is other side of it that we should talk with person or above that person in management and inform before deciding to quit .sometime the manager is not aware of issues that his style is impacting others so we should have open discussion to resolve conflict.

Thankyou Madhulika for sharing the reality inside Infosys. I have been in IT Software development in dotnet technologies for more than 20 years and now I realized the most worst decision I took is by taking the IT Development as my carrier. I was atleast lucky to develop software from scratch but now in the recent past for around 10 to 15 yrs, all softwares were already built and we technical guys are left with a job like a call center and just fixing issues including software and database performance like hell. Once you get more experience I have been forced to manage team also along with full productivity of myself and which overburdens me a lot. My advise is that youngstars should never go for development more than 5 years, they should switch to a different line like QA or so other branch of IT but never get into this development for long.

Sis.. You did the best thing. I can feel your mind and heart is so light now. Yes there are crappy managers some are Angels and most of the managers micro manage and take advantage of the people under them. Hands down managers are few out there. Its not infosys' fault. I would not blame any companies. Its your bad luck you got aligned under such crappy managers. Everyone cannot be managers. Rather than blaming infosys, you should put a video revealing the person name and the linkedin of that person. That will ravish his/her happiness. Not sure if you heard me, but if you do then expose that person screw the happiness / peace of mind. That person is the reason you left a huge organization. sorry for all the stress. We feel you. chill out. But remember wherever you go, not just JOB, even in personal life, there are going to be people . Did you make your point on the Exit interview? Just a piece of advise when you go into any job never say you left because some one stressed you out. The other company will think you do not have will power. Every child should be given time after 12th to realize what they love and want to do in life and explore , Then you and many people out there would have never done engineering at first place and never joined IT and you would have been a PR or influence just after 12th. There is a difference between doing what makes you happy and you are Interested and doing what you are given and you have to do just because everyone else is doing and you need money. My friend is in Infosys too he is a cloud native developer and at 16 Lpa in 2 years at WFH only. Happy for you finally you are doing what you are made for and good at. It is not the company alone which is responsible for growth. Both employee and employer should grow together. I agree there are projects in such companies where management is a big issue. But based on that you cannot portray about the whole organization which is dealing with more than 5000 projects at once. And based on one person who is not good to you, you cannot judge the whole team. In IT industry, there are no superiors, there are only colleagues. you can always respond back strongly if someone is not good with you. You have an option of switching to other project too. I've worked for 4 projects in the same org. And all my managers are pretty cool. they always made me feel easy. and compensation wise also you can write many internal exams and get promotions with high job security. Just FYI, Infosys is actually one of the best service based company ever.
