I’m a former foster youth and always wanted to be a doctor. I had a hard transition into adulthood from the lack of support and dropped out of college and gave up. You inspired me more than you know. I enrolled back into college this year and on track to apply to medical school. You gave me the motivation to go back and try again. So many people are attached to your resilience like me. Thank you sis ♥️
Wow Jai, just wow!! I'm humbled and blown away by your words. Thank you for sharing this and much congrats on reenrolling back into college. I can imagine you have faced much adversity as a former foster youth, and yet here you are still making strides towards your goals. I'm hella proud of you Jai! Keep fighting against all the odds. This path may not have been created with us in mind but we are HERE, we are sitting at the table, and we deserve to take up ALL the space!!! Much love to you on your journey sis!
You may not remember me, but I remember you at Barry University. And after, I also interviewed at UF for med school, and you were there always with a smile on your face. You spoke briefly about the program on interview day, and you were so great at it. I've been following your page for some time, I am praying and I am confident that you will be a Doctor and you will be successful in residency. We need more melanin in the field of medicine. I'm in central Florida doing EM residency. Can't wait to see you succeed even more. One love and never stop pushing, Doctor.
Hi Dr. B! My name is Delaney, and I’m a first year MD-PhD student at UF! I began watching your videos before my UF interviews this past cycle and continued after my acceptance up through orientation. In every video I watched, I felt such a connection to you, and your experiences and reflections helped inspire me to ultimately attend UF. Flashing forward to the present, we actually just had our first final exam (genetics) and kicked off our first golden weekend. It’s surreal to be at this point, and I’m actually experiencing so many of the same feelings you shared in your videos. I know I wouldn’t have made it to this point without you. Thank you for your virtual mentorship of thousands of aspiring doctors, for your service to the medical profession, for your service to the USA, for your candidness, and for your vulnerability. It means so much. You are such an inspiration, and I so badly wish that our time at UF overlapped. But hopefully one day I will get to meet you in person. You are so amazing, and I’m so excited to see where life takes you! Remember to take care of yourself and that medicine is a million times better because you’re in it. :’) P.S. Way to represent UFCOM! Go Gators!
I have watched your channel since day one and have missed your content so much. I hope you can continue to share with us but don't sacrifice your goals and your priorities, we all support you on whatever you choose girl😘
Melissa!! Thanks for being so understanding and supportive. I missed making content for you all just as much as you all missed watching. I had to take a step back our of self-preservation but I'm back and here to stay. I'm walking in my purpose and won't let anything or anyone stop me from honoring God's calling on my life. You'll be seeing much more of me!
We love you queen B! I'm not even all the way through the video and I just had to comment and let you know that your loved and appreciated and respected. I still have the planner you gave me the opportunity to use throughout my first year of nursing school. Going into my last year, this weekend and you still inspire me queen. May God continue to bless you.
I’m first generation as well and I completely understand! And like someone said before, as a minority pre-med, we thank you for sharing and your vulnerability!
@@thebrittnyway About to go to your medical school really appreciate getting a window into what it will be like to be a black medical student at UF before I go lol
I appreciate this video! Although, we don’t deserve you. You blessed us with your time and that was enough. No need to please anyone. Keep doing you and inspiring people by your generosity! Ya doing amazing, sweetie!!
Thank you for your transparency. I have shared your videos with my daughter who is in her 4th of undergrad with aspirations to become a physician. She has also just started the HPSP with Air Force process. You have been very inspiring and helpful. Keep doing what God has blessed you with. Much Love
I missed you all sooooo much!! But I was in self-preservation mode. Now I'm finally feeling like I'm in a better place and can get back to sharing my journey with you all. We have so much to catch up on
I've been watching you since your first day of medical school, and now i'm about to be a sophomore (pre-med) in college! I was so excited and honored to watch your journey and have a raw example of what it's like to be a medical student. Seriously, it meant so much to a younger me that I saw someone like myself in the position I wanted to be in; you were and still are so inspiring! I followed you on instagram when you stopped posting, and I was happy to see that you were doing fine and that you're a doctor now! I'm so proud of you and I can't wait for the new content!
I love this video and how raw it is! Med school is no joke, and life doesn’t stop when you are in the thick of it. I’m a 2nd year myself so I’m excited to see where you go from here! You are inspiring! ✨
I have been watch your channel for a long time. Especially during a very difficult time in my life. It was watching you page that I decided I would move from Washington DC to Texas. You were that spark I needed to move forward. Watching you win gave me hope and now I am thriving and coming into my own and for that I am truly grateful. So, I say that to say thank you and I stand with you. Don’t let anyone stop you from using your voice and doing you feel is best for you.❤️
Keep pushing Doc!!!! Thank you for your transparency and for paving the way for our young black kings and queens to continue striving for excellence. You are truly inspirational !!!!!
Brittny you are absolutely God's sent!. I am inspired by your story, I too was a teacher, the first in my generation to take this path. At the end of the semester I will have completed all my science requirements. Spring I will be planning for MCAT in mid June. I am taking a training in Phlebotomy to get a position somewhere for some medical experience in December. I thank you for taking the time to share your story with us. I pray that God continue to give you the capacity to lead ! I pray that you continue to walk in the fullness of your destiny. Congratulations on your engagement May God bless and keep you .
I love your channel but like so many others have said we love you. Meeting your goals is sooo much more valuable than posting, so I’m grateful you have been able to prioritize yourself to get where you are today. I wish you all the best!!!!!
We love you sis!! You are covered by God and you are a walking testimony🙌🏽 Take care of yourself and keep staying true to who you are. You owe us nothing. Keep shining your light wherever you go! So happy to see you again and proud of you💜💜 God bless🙏🏽🙏🏽

Thanks babe! I'm a whole doctor now lol. This was recorded almost two years ago but I thought it was important to share before I start dropping new content. Plus, I never stopped recording so I want you all to see the parts of 3rd and 4th year that I never posted. Stay tuned! & thanks for watching, it really means a lot xoxo
@@thebrittnyway oh wow congratulations 🎉🎉 I’m so happy and proud of you!! I’ve watched all of your videos. You are a great motivation in my life. I remember I use to watch you videos when I would take breaks studying for boards lol
We love you sis!! I appreciate the vulnerability, but I want to let you know that we are hear for you and you have nothing to apologize for you been through a lot and we definitely can relate. Whenever you need a break or life gets tough take all the time you need.
I really appreciate the video, we've missed you so much. You've been such an inspiration and God is going to continue to order your steps you just keep hanging on! I've been watching you since high school and Im on my way to becoming a medical student next year. Part of my inspiration comes from this channel. Stay strong and stay safe
Thanks for sharing! I came across your channel as I was trying to learn more about the HPSP, and I'm glad to be here now. Nothing comes easy but you got this. Stay strong!
I love you! You are amazing, keep doing what makes you happy. You have helped me so much. I am currently in pre med and excited to apply to UF in 2023. I have been out of college for 10 years, and just went back last year, to start back my journey to my purpose. God bless you, and may His favor be upon you. Can't wait to see what amazing things He will do in your life.
Thank you so much for sharing. I was told growing up that I had a learning disability. It turns out that was not true. I always wanted to be a neurosurgeon but my first year of college as a college athlete I was discouraged. I graduated in a field I have no passion for. Your an inspiration. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Ahh I love this, I'm a second year student right now and I def get the minority struggle. Your journey and vids are important to share, glad you made it to the other side Dr!
I’ve always told you that you are such an inspiration. I was just getting ready to throw in the towel then here you are to push me on!! 😭 Thank you so much for being you and showing your heart! Your 🇯🇲 sister! ❤️
You know we understand. It's just inspirational just to see someone striving for their own personal journey. working on this Masters now. Not in the medical field though, education. every day i strive for balance. Because its not easy to work and go to school. But i'm pressing forward. The finish line is close. Glad to see you are doing well.
Glad to see you back. I'm so sorry for things that have happened to you. I hate to see you cry yet it is important for us to express our feelings. Feel what you need to. You asked what we are up to. I literally just finished nursing school and will be starting my first nursing job in a month. Take care and be gentle with yourself. 💓💛
Thanks girl! You don't have to be sorry. Things are always going to happen in life. What matters most is how we respond to them. I'm stronger and wiser, to me that's a win. & sharing this vulnerable moment with you all is liberating in a way. Thank you for supporting me. More importantly, congrats on graduating from nursing school and securing the bag!! I am so proud of you!! What specialty of nursing are you going into?
You have been so inspiring to so many. You are loved and supported by many. I’ve been watching your channel since the beginning of time, and to this day, I have been on my journey to medical school. Now that I’m a mother and a fiancé, it’s been more challenging than ever to make it. But God has His hands over my life and I know becoming a Doctor is my purpose. I appreciate and thank God for you. May He continue to watch over and bless you. 🙏🏾
As much as we would have loved for you to continue uploading, I think I respect that you chose peace. Some battles don't deserve your attention, you would have had to prove yourself to people who do not deserve it and lost focus. Congrats on making it this far Brit! Love from South Africa. 🇿🇦
Proud of you bestie for your transparency and love that you share. There’s someone out there watching this who now has the strength to continue their journey and mission. You are a beautiful example for those that share similar shoes. I love you, Dr.Randolph!!
Welcome back, you were missed. Don't internalize the opinions of others. Something must be wrong with someone that spends all their time focusing on you, instead of themselves. You do not owe them an explanation. Just do you.
