You took some great images with the XF50 + XF70-300 combo. Most people tend to use wider lenses for street photography. But slightly longer focal lengths can create very unique perspectives. A while back I had the XF50 f2, XF35 f2, and the XF23 f2 but eventually sold them because I prefer the rendering of the older lenses. {XF16 f1.4, XF18 f2, XF23 f1.4, XF35 f1.4 and XF56 f1.2} Interestingly, you mentioned that the streets in Bellevue, although it's a city with a lot of tech workers, are mostly empty. I noticed that as well. But for what I try to communicate with my images it's perfect! Thanks for sharing your images. I'm looking forward to seeing more.
Hello! Thanks so much for watching and sharing your perspectives and experiences. Every location has its challenges and bonuses. For me, it's looking beyond what I feel is "missing" to discover what is already there. Cheers!
Very nice images Michael. It’s funny how I often ask myself the same question about the XF50 f/2, it’s a great lens with excellent image quality and yet, it’s mostly on my camera gear cabinet, I definitely use it for headshots and/or portraits, but when I reach for a prime to go out it’s the XF33, except for a couple of days ago when I did some street “stuff” in a very small and confined downtown area and I used the X-T1 with the XF23 f/2 (my X100VI “wannabe”). Be well and stay safe.
Hi Enrique! Thanks, as always. We've had a number of people create their own "X100 VI" experience with X-T30ii and Xf 27mm f/2.8 pancake lens. Now, we are all out of the 27mm lenses. LOL. Stay safe out there, and best wishes!
