While I am having some success as a new RU-vidr with a small RU-vid channel, I have realised that i will never become a famous RU-vidr - I just don't think my videos are what people are looking for. That and they're not very good.
But that's OK.

Honestly there are a bunch of content creators who make content revolves around their lives, but a lot of them use their own methods to succeed, for instance, making an animation which is relating towards what unique or funny thing happened to their life at some point, which the content creator himself/herself is talking about, or even just recording some gameplay footage and play it in the background (to entertain the viewers) while talking about what they are or were up to. You have to just find a way that suits yourself and the viewers. Btw, you have some underrated content, I am subscribing this channel. Keep it up.

Thank you. I vow to supply mediocre content that will improve in quality so slowly that you will barely notice it sucking less and less until the day that I manage one golden video that sucks so little it's actually good. That day WILL come, but it is not this day.

This was actually quite compelling. I think you understand a lot about this website and what it really means to be a RU-vidr (like MrBeast). I like this more nuanced vision for being a RU-vidr that you have decided to undertake!

Ha that's exactly what I figured. 3 years. That's how long I expect it to take to be able to make half-way decent content. A few years after that and I might actually start seeing some results ...

The reason channels such as yours don't gain as much notoriety as they should is due to the fact that they don't fit in a trending niche. I think to really explode the channel, you should try to experiment what works out, and stick to what works out.

Good advice, certainly. But here's the thing, what if what's trending, or what works, isn't what I want to make? The whole point of creativity for me is to express myself my way. If that doesn't make me famous, so be it.

Nonetheless, I suppose one cannot help but wonder if the subliminal message isn't that you'd like to know how to make your 'nothing and things in your life' a successful formula on RU-vid. For what it's worth, while I don't feel I should watch a full year's worth of back content, I've quite enjoyed what I've seen so far and it has resonated with me on some subjects, like close-to-distant friendships and living abroad. It's funny to me that I found your channel thanks to your watch video, as I do watch quite a bit of content that sticks to that niche. And while it may be a slow burn, I think steady growth may be possible by tapping into such niches as they cross with your life and nothingness. Even if it may not compensate for the financial loss of retirement, it may yet give you something to do throughout retirement! After all, long-term consistency is key to success on RU-vid, but you get to define success.

Yeah I think that's kind of the point I was trying to make, that and the idea that I fully don't expect to get famous because I'm not doing what you're supposed to do to.... that being said, the response to this video has been amazing so far! Thanks to all
