Why I’m Always So Calm / In my videos, I often come across as peaceful, calm, and positive. Does this mean I don’t have bad days? No, it does not. I still have my own struggles, bad days, and frustrating moments.
You can't control your first thought, but you can choose how to react. Being calm outside comes from feeling calm inside. When you're peaceful inside, it's easier not to react badly to setbacks to make good choices. It's like driving smoothly on a nice road, not a bumpy one.
We are wrong about a lot of things. So rather than immediately judging other people for some choice or opinion, they might have, try to stay calm and understand them first rather than judging immediately and saying that they are wrong ✌️
To be honest, I have made people mad many times by being so calm and understanding, and I kind of get it. When I’m not picking sides immediately, it can frustrate people. But that’s who am I, I don’t go to extremes before knowing the situation better. I try to keep my mind open whenever possible.
In this video I talk about all the reasons why calmness is so important and how I am able to stay peaceful 🐻

How would you rate your daily level of calmness on a scale of 1 to 10? 🌱

Thank you! One thing that helps me, when I remember to use it, is the knowledge that we live in a solipsistic world, in the sense that each and everyone of us see and experiences the world from our own perspective, so what we deem proper and good should be proper and good for everyone else. The phrase "center of the universe" became popular decades ago and there is some truth to it, in that each and everyone of us is the center of our own universe. When we die, the sun keeps shining, the rains still fall, our friends keep living, but for us the universe has ended.however, We are not the center of anyone else's universe, so we need to maintain good intergalactic relations.

Well said! I've also learned this recently. We all see life experiences through our own lenses - whatever we have experienced in the past. I am the main character of my own story but not other's. Therefore I try my best to stay kind, calm, and understand other people's views on life 🤗 Thanks for the comment!

I was born in the mid 20th century. (It’s starting to seem like a long time ago even to me.) For a long time I lived as an anxious, frustrated and angry person. A lot of things can happen, both good and bad, in a long life and after a while when I looked back I began to see how many people reacted with kindness and understanding toward me. Now when I get upset or angry I give myself time to remember those people and to honor them by being more like those good people were. Through this and perhaps through those who follow me the best that is inside us will live forever on this earth.

Thanks for sharing this ❤️ Kindness spreads so fast when you let it happen. I love this about humans that so many times we want to pay it forward if someone was good to us 🤗

I was in such a good place before having my child, now 2 years later I am still trying to find back to it. At the moment I just find it so hard because all the time I had to myself that I could spend on self reflection, meditation or other things I enjoyed is now spent looking after my child.

Thanks for sharing this! I don't have kids at least yet, so I can't say I know how the life is after that. Probably much more complex mentally as you described. Hope you'll be able to stay present during these times and see what an amazing thing you are doing with your time - you are raising another human being ❤️

You are right. We should relax and let life happen. After 2 years of trying to reach my dream, nothing happened.Only health issues and I lost some money. I am still sad but who knows what the future holds? The story of the farmer was very good.Thank you for the video! 🙏

I can totally relate to you. I am very much on the same journey trying to trust the process and balance everything meanwhile. If you like books, The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho has been really inspirational for me. Wishing you all the best 🌱

Excelent video. I’m a stressful and anxious person, but I try to not hurt other people. Some people tried to get in fights with me over the years, and I was always able to ignore it. Of course there’s always someone who thinks I’m a p*ssy for not fighting, but the way I see it is that I already have a lot of struggles with myself, I often hurt myself, I don’t want to hurt others too.

I am an extremely spiritual person who feels exactly the way you describe, however in the last months I am facing a illness in a close family member getting worse and worse and I have always been so connected to her. In this moment I can no longer see it in this way because in life this is the only thing I think about and it breaks me. The little things are nothing, but this is too big to look and think: “maybe”. There is a feeling I have never felt before and w time I am becoming numb and number to life.

I think we all go through seasons like that. We can't always stay as positive, spiritually connected or kind as we would like to. We are humans too. For me the acceptance of my humanity and flaws has been helpful. I try to allow myself to feel whatever I feel, as long as I try to be aware of it. Wishing you peace and all the best ❤️

Another interesting contemplation. :) After my spiritual awakening I find that I have changed in ways that seem to upset others and this has been a bit of a puzzle for me. I would have been roughly a conservative leaning Christian and pretty much all that means in America these days give or take. Although I have always had a bit of social liberal leaning. Anyway, lately I've talked with a few friends and we got on the subject of Trump vs. Biden, and my take was, well, Trump may be the lessor of two evils, but I am not happy with either choice. And the reactions I get either way just startle me. Like few people are able to remain calm and just talk about their opinions. Anger is the response. And that response seems pretty crazy to me. So this isn't about politics at all. It's about how attached we get to an idea, or not. I am not overly attached to an idea that either candidate is a savior to mankind. I know that neither is going to fill that role. I live in the south western US, and I like to see how the prehistoric folks around here lived. It is pretty interesting. But I often ponder what their days looked like. And one thing that occurred to me in relation to this political hot button division I am seeing: Whatever the concerns of their days were, they are dust now. They do not matter. They only mattered in those moments when they were actually happening. And probably not so much even that. But they mattered most to those that made them ideology, and then possibly the victims of that ideology if there were any. In your farmer story, you sum it up by saying we do not know if circumstances may be good or bad until they play out. Likely neither. It is what we make those circumstances to be that implies good or bad. In this same way, the old things that have happened to us in our lives that may have traumatized us. These things are really like dust. Like old corpses that are decaying into dust. But our ideas about them seem to keep them alive around us. Like walking dead. If we got bonked on the head and could no longer remember these old traumas, would they still impact our lives? What is it we need to do to let them go? What idea are we holding, what old expectation, that keeps them alive for us?

Maybe, reminds me of God's grace. I've always believed that some events occur out of God's protection. I might not know the reason, but I will be alright.
