Totally agree! The Tonca bag is super cute but would be better if it were just a little bit bigger. I also wish the opening to all the bags were just slightly wider. If polene can also add more back pockets on their bags that would be amazing. Thanks for the mention Dani 💕

I just recently got the Cyme mini and I have to say so far I’m impressed with the quality of not only the bag, but the dust bag too. I’ve had some higher end bags and my new polene bag seems just as nice. Only thing I do have a slight concern about is how the Cyme has very little protection from someone reaching their hand in and taking stuff if I’m not paying attention, but I do appreciate they gave me a little pouch at least I have that to keep valuables in & it’s attached to the bag. For me I didn’t get this bag because it’s a trend atm, I got it because I like the simplicity of their bags, so if it holds up I’ll probably always have at least one of their bags.

Girl - PREACH!! Thanks so much for making this video. Thought I was the only one. It's like you've read my mind - I have gone through ALL of things you mentioned - weighing pros and cons, watched all the SAME review videos as you - been influenced by Tanner. I think I just need to wait until I'm physically in a Polene store and can play with one, trying all of my items for myself. Total first world problems! Hello, my dear! Yes, I am waiting for the day I can experience one in person especially given that I have heard returns are not easy. Are you close to a polene store? I dunno when I’ll be getting to one😅 No I have not heard of the new bag. Last one I heard about was the nodde. But I’ll got and check out their website. I’ve always liked the simplistic and chic designs of Polene but like you, never found them practical enough for me to pull the trigger. If I go for a contemporary brand, it really will have to work on every level since there isn’t the prestige of the high-end luxury name (if you know what I mean!) 😆 I hope with enough feedback from consumers, Polene will take this into consideration as I do think it’s a brand worth exploring. I was like you and spent months deciding which bag design and checking all the reviews. I got the numero un nano in chalk and love the colour. The squeakyness will stop after applying leather conditioner. There's buttons inside that allow you easier access but I wish it was a little bigger. I got the un mini backpack and love it. It has more space and works well as a crossbody without the scratch of a chain. The strap in a backpack form is little shorter than I would've liked. But it fits more than the mini palm springs.

This company is a joke. Unprofessional, call many times no pick up, one time picked up and hung up. Email message they replied with lies. My first one bag from polene orders from New York store they sent scratches bag used bag to me. Second order they sent bag with nothing inside only bag no tag no booklet. Very bad management and no professional at all. They want to climb to high end luxury but not that high quality and still increases the price base on consumers sale. I won’t buy from polene anymore luckily I only purchased one time. Thinking the warehouse always send the returned bag to customer and or used bag to customer. Suck polene.

Great consideration on Polene, Dani! Although listening to other's experiences with my favourite, Numero Un Nano, I have personally not experienced any issues with it: no problems with the shoulder strap & I keep the inside buttons open all the time for easy access... haha maybe next time I use it I'll pay more attention to these :DD

I bought my Numero Un Nano in black over 2 yrs. ago and it’s my everyday bag. It’s the bag I always gravitate towards and for me it’s practical as well as cute but I can see all the concerns you have and it’s probably because I’m so used to mine that I don’t notice those cons that others have mentioned. For my lifestyle and for what I look for in a bag I think Polene checks a lot of those boxes but as the price keeps increasing I think I should buy the ones I’ve been looking at before they go up more than I’m willing to pay. Tfs 😊

I wasn't a fan of Polene initially when I was looking at bags in a functional perspective. However when I started to look into bags for structure and art and leather craftsmanship, I've come to realise Polene is ahead of the curve. I love going to art museums and installations and Polene bags structures/silhouette reminds me of that. I mainly use it for a day out where I don't need to carry a laptop or papers or anything stressful, just my wallet phone maybe a small camera and some makeup. I do not wish to buy Polene for dumping a lot of stuff in, which will wear the bag down. Same as you don't go to a Michelin place because you're hungry but rather for the experience. The dix does not hurt when reaching for things inside. I do appreciate and agree with the nuances that come each bag design. This was insightful review and your voice is a delight to hear! :)

Aw thank you so much❤️ I agree that polene bags are very very beautiful. Hence my attraction to them. Unfortunately I do have too many bags that I already bought for aesthetics and am trying to be better at resisting some more. I have heard horror stories of polene customer service if an online order has issues. So I will wait till I can purchase in store❤️ Thanks for sharing❤️❤️

I really appreciate your review. I share the same sentiment. I admire polene’s structure and beauty. The leather and craftsmanship are beautiful. It really is art and because of it, I try not to use it everyday. I do tend to use it when I need a break from my “everyday” bag and would like to to be minimal in which I carry my wallet, keys, gloss, and small pill box. If I want something where I can put more things in, I use my le pilage medium. With the quality of leather, structure, colors, and design, I broken it is fairly priced. I see myself investing in these pieces. Also, love the comparison about going to a Michelin star restaurant!

Everything you are saying makes sense. I have the Neuf in the regular size, and it is big enough, but the opening is a little awkward. It's certainly big enough to fit a ton of stuff, though. The weird opening is a sacrifice I'm willing to make, though. It's hard to construct a bag with interesting folds where the folds don't take up some of the capacity. Thanks for your thoughts!

I've been thinking/ eyeing the cyme small or dix . With regards to cyme, i feel like all the stuff i will put inside will just gather in the middle. With dix , the zipper bugs me off. I would love to buy it in magnetic flap version.

I did both. Went to NY stored they said they have blue tonca they shipped to me with scratches used bag. Then I returned them. Waited two weeks they said no more blue tonca. So I have to order via France online they shipped chalk color thru DHL buy came with box didn’t look right like others have received. Bag came with no booklet and no tag. I contacted them no one answers many calls many comments. Instagram they deleted my comments just asking why and deleted it. They so lies and unprofessional. First bag and never again I stay with high end good quality and value the customers. Lv Gucci fendi Dior Hermes..

Hi Dani, same here. I got nbero 1 and hated it cos it keeps tipping forward when its heavy. Love the Dix but i think the space capacity is an issue. If only they make it a little larger. I dont like to play tetris with my bags. 😅

I recently saw a video of the numero un backpack which is my style as I like dressy backpacks like Polene’s but as I was checking online, also discovered it’s been discontinued. I wonder why? I guess I won’t be getting a Polene anytime soon unless they come up with another backpwck

I bought numero uno Polene bag in 2019 and the quality is great. Their leather bag can be heavy if it is a big bag (especially when it is full w/ stuff) that is why I sold my bag this year. The numero uno was so heavy on my shoulder I cannot deal with it. Now, I am interested in buying the Tonca bag in black. Polene bags are artistic but it might not be for everyone.

I love the Nodde bag but I’m so hesitant because of the zipper. I hate scratchy zippers too and I’ve seen reviews where they say the zippers are scratchy.

I think the size and ease of use is a problem I've noticed across the board with many of Polene's styles. The styles I'm most interested in are the Numero Un and the Numero Neuf, both in the larger size. I wish there was a size between the mini and the large for the Numero Neuf: the mini is too small for me personally to use on a daily basis, and the large size seems like it'd be a black hole that could get heavy! Call me Goldilocks lol. But my main concern about the bag is that it seems like it could be difficult to access, especially with the top handle in the way of the opening. As for the Numero Un, the large size didn't seem quite as overwhelming as the Neuf, but my issue is that I'm torn about which color to go for. The only other style I like is the Beri (Numero Onze) but I don't like the straps on that bag and I wish it was larger!

I have the same problem with Polene! Many people rave about their products. Some honest reviewers have give their thoughts regarding functionality and quality. Although I have only seen one RU-vidr so far mention quality issues and it was evident in many bags they saw displayed in their boutique. I have been torn over the bucket bag you mentioned and the cyme bag. Since their is a boutique that opened up Manhattan, I am going to set time aside to look at them personally myself. But I am afraid, so far, Polene maybe a brand I will love from a far. There is always some caveat that makes me not take the chance on any of their items.

I really love some of Polene's designs, but because they never have sales/promotions I've never been triggered into buying. They might be fairly priced, but I feel like every other RU-vidr and my grandmother have been gifted a bag by Polene, so paying full price just doesn't sit well with me. 😅

I think no sales is not a problem it keeps the value of the brand. But at the same time they nonstop to give free bags to youtubers this makes the brand down grade! Don’t know what is their marketing team doing. Really hope they can stop this. I brought their bag before but seeing they give out that many free bags makes me doesn’t want to buy it anymore!

I have Polene neuf, huit, un nano and dix. Love them all😊 unique style and if I choose the regular sizes from huit and neuf I take good. So I have no problem to come in and out with my hand, but ok they are a big hole like other bags of this kind. So in the neuf you can put a little organizer if you want. In all of those bags you can fit your essentials and in the bigger ones like neuf and huit more than that. Next I want the cyme but I don’t know which size. You’re right when you say with the folders in the bag you have less space, so everyone have to decide: a speziell design with a little bit less space, or a simple style with more capacity.

Hi Dani! I respect how much restraint you have in not purchasing Polene, despite how beautiful the designs are! You’ve put a lot of work into curating your collection and recognizing what does and doesn’t work for you, which in the end helps to reduce wasteful spending. I have purchased 4 different Polene styles, with 1 on the way, and I think some of the issues you brought up don’t bother me as much. I guess we must each consider the pros and cons, and what are absolute deal breakers! Great video btw!

I like Polene a lot, For now I have 2 of cyme mini and that is the best bag size and design which I ewer had. Honestly, I do not understand people who are saying that they won’t buy because there are no sales.. guys, have you seen theirs quality? I mean it is amazing! I’ve paid only 290€ for a bag which should cost 500€ at least, and I guess that is why theirs Cyme are always not available and you have to preorder which I did both times. I like a lot their other bags like tonka and Beri but they are not so practical to me bc are too small.

I love Polene and have the Neuf, the Tonca, Mini Sept, the Ilo, and a small clutch that is discontinued. I just sold my Cyme for $50 more than I paid for it. The only reason I sold it was I wanted a tote for Airplane travel and the shape didn’t work for that. I have been very happy with the brand.

I like quite some of their designs, but even though their quality might be worth the price, I don’t want to spend it on such a new, contemporary brand.. feels quite hyped to me and I‘m not sure, if they can establish themselves really long terms

I won't buy because of the poor quality. I browse a lot of vintage sites and the Polene bags start to show up there. For bags that have been worn for maybe 2 or 3 years these look horrible. The leather peels and looks very scratched, paint loosens etc. You don't see that kind of wear and tear on a Longchamp bag that is 10 years old and worn a lot more than the Polene kind (full leather, not the Pliage line). That tells me a great deal about Polene's quality.....

I have bought the número Un before. It arrived with the clasp down crooked. I called customer service and they said "that's not a defect". They were going to charge me for shipping to send it back to them. They are horrible.

Polene is pretty but never did I consider them. I do think they are super cute. I just have certain bags that I know I want that’s on my wishlist. Very beautiful pieces. Enjoyed watching! 🌸😍❤️

DO NOT BUY POLENE !!! IF FOR SOME REASON YOU WANT TO RETURN THE BAG, THEY WON’T EVEN ANSWER TO YOU. SOME BAGS COME DEFECTIVE. I SENT THEM 3 EMAILS, WEEK AFTER STILL NO RESPONSE. THEY WILL IGNORE YOU.

@@Brandi-qs3pri files many complaint I have all the conversations from them all lies. They said their bag sent me is the newest so the box style it’s like that and no booklet no tag on bag. They kept answer with lies and no apology or solve the problem.

I had the same issue 😭 the bag came in lopsided and they said it was “natural “ and couldn’t control the natural causes of shipment. They wanted to charge me for an exchange. So I have a lopsided bag 😢

I don't know how you can watch this leather guy and not cringe 😬😬 - he doesn't account for the MOST important things when it comes to luxury - the brand, the exclusivity, the experience, the history. He considers for the 2 most basic and IMO insignificant aspects of these bags - raw material and assembly. when I purchase an item from a luxury brand the raw material and assembly is the last thing on my mind. I care more about the story and brand exclusivity before anything else.

I think there are people who are interested in both the brand as well as quality. There are luxury houses that are outright disrespectful of their own history and brand. And there are consumers who wish to have the transparency behind their quality. There’s enough room for all of to shine and given how well Tanner is doing, there is clearly the demand for his content. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Ash❤️
