Thanks for being honest with your reasons, you're definitely doing the best thing in prioritizing the house purchase. I unfortunately had to sell my FK8 to have enough for the house deposit. Last year I purchased the house and am very happy with how it's appreciated in value. I'm now looking for an investment property and I've also purchased another FK8 🤣 Fun can always come later - establishing yourself comes first. Good luck with it all 🙂

A lot of people change their cars regularly, and at a great cost to themselves. If you can change cars and make a profit, then you have the best of both worlds. A constant stream of new cars, plus a small profitable business. Hell yea.

I loved the slow build up mod at a time vids on that accord, was so awesome watching it get better bit, by bit, by bit and I have to admit I was surprised by what a weapon it was in the end
car flipping can be very fun. My friend and I go halves on cars down here in CHCH And we flip cars alot. Most recent was a 2014 Q5 we bought for $7000 and sold for $14000. I wish you all the best for the near future

Full agree mate, same reason I didn't buy an FK8 CTR either. Just couldn't justify owning a car of that price, with the amount of fun you can have with a "cheaper" car.
Sound plan!! I’ve had loads of nice cars over the years, but 3 years ago moved to a nice small town, built a house and now drive a shitbox. And couldn’t be happier. Houses are more rewarding than cars, pulling up to the house- that you own- is a high on its own, imo. My only regret is I didn’t do it sooner.

Currently own a fiesta ST mk7.5 and am looking for something new, sadly everything is so much more expensive and maybe even less fun (seat leon Cupra, Hyundai i30N)
So true, the market is really struggling here in Australia too. It's not performance cars, it's every car. Truly a buyers market. I think people are really hurting, high interest rates, rent, cost of living. No one really has any cash.
Yeah exactly, hence why I want to get out of the volatile and quickly changing expensive car market, into something more sensibly priced that has less money to lose
@@KiwiCarLife I just got out of a high k (238,00km) IS350 F Sport. Great car, but didn't suit my needs as a daily driver with my family. Ended up selling it for 10.5k as I needed the cash and got many lower offers below that. Replaced it with a Landcruiser Prado (120 series) as I do quite a bit of towing. Downside is it's bad on fuel.
@@jrbuch is the Prado petrol or diesel? I'm surprised the 350 was so cheap, but yeah I couldn't even sell a full set of 86 wheels for $150, things are really fked with the economy.
@@JasonISF The Prado is petrol. Luckily, I do highway k's. The IS350 I bought for 19k, owned for 4 years, put a heap of k's on it, and sold for 10.5k. Broke my heart to sell the IS350 It had Pilot Sport 5 tyres, RC-F lower control arms, etc. But as you said the economy is down the shitter, so it's impossible to sell anything right now.
M3 will be missed. But I see your point in moving towards a more "mature" goal. I spose, as long as you're happy and the content continues to flow, we can't ask for much more. Awesome video as always.
Sad to hear, I'm in a similar boat. Have the money/income to buy a more expensive, fun performance car but we're really trying hard to save up for a house and start a family. Wanted an E46 M3, but I'll go for a manual 330CI instead, much more affordable and still a heap of fun. Modding it will also be less stressful compared to ruining a classic M3.
I have 2011 E90 M3 at 129k miles. Pretty happy :) For the house, depends what you buy. It is like a car. You’ll need to do a lot of maintenance and try your best not to hoard things. I see that way too often.
Smart move!, I had the most fun in my cheaper cars! I have owned a total of 23 cars over the years, but when the time came to get some cash together I ran a Nissan pulsar worth $5K for 8 years, put my money into property and did pretty well! I can only wholly endorse your decision!
I can't believe you had to sell the car after all you had done to it, including a major work like swapping manual transmission...but that is a sound decision. Buying a house is definitely higher priority than cars. Cars usually don't appreciate, and even if it does you have to put so much work into them to keep them in top condition. You can buy the cars later after you have the house.
I know, but I now have capital set aside for my next venture. Plus, I think you guys are more interested in affordable, attainable cars. Will be going back to “accord budget” videos I guess
I already am struggling to keep my cars from increasing above 4. I want to experience so many more, but once i buy its hard to sell afterwards. I have now worked for more than 15 years to mainly spend on cars. This life is too short.
_Sad to see the M3 go. However as youve said, finances and buying a house takes priority. So in the end its a wise choice. Being happy with a 5 or 10 grand car is a good mindset to have and a lot of people around your and my age arent that. They all want the flash and luxurious car because they think they deserve it. But you summed it up so nicely about being content and happy with a 5 or 10 grand car to do things you want to do. That's a realistic mindset which a lot of people do not have. Im 22 and I have a 10 grand car which I'm perfectly happy with. It goes well and its not that expensive to run. And thats all you need. Good video overall. A difficult but wise choice. It’s hard to believe you’re only 23; if more young chaps had your mindset, perhaps the entire country would look a little different… Or not. Who the hell knows! The cool thing is you wanted one, and you had one! Yes you’ll miss it, but you won’t die pissed off you missed out altogether. And yes, flipping $10k cars means you can taste everything. All the heroes of the 90s and early 00s that were out of reach, and now cheap and available. Such a cool way to experience different platforms and manufacturers… Keep it up, bro - we’ll enjoy living vicariously through your vids 😂
Have fun saving for the house. Shame to loose the m3 but who knows what the future will bring! Maybe a nice mortgage, marriage, kids, and a station wagon or SUV. OMG KEEP THE M3...... .
Make sure you don't buy a house in the big cities, and have at least 20% deposit bro, and make flatmates pay your mortgage off for you. And wait until January, after christmas spending everyone will be broke and prices will be tumbling
Yep prices are definitely dropping, yes the cars are listed at asking price, however are they selling? Nope. It’s only worth what someone is willing to pay.
I’m sorry but, more affordable, more interesting to you guys on the channel, more practical, more reliable, more preferable to you maybe… but no one unless they’ve got some screws loose would say a Euro R is “better” than an M3. It’s slower around every race track, FWD rather than RWD, less power, much less torque, worse interior, and exterior, rpm, and “fun to drive” aspect are on the same level pretty much.
Hey chap! I have a question, I have a Honda Odyssey RB1 Type M 2004, it’s the very basic model, it has a k24a2 engine, makes a weird noise, but apart from that, would you recommend me modifying it and of course fixing it, but should I modify it and enjoy it or should I sell it and buy myself a Honda Accord Euro 2006? Because I like the Odyssey but the interior is not the one I like the most, has like this old wood style which makes it look like a grandma car. Appreciate your videos! I’m in New Zealand too.
@@dobargento9480 hey man, the Accord is definitely going to drive a lot better, if you don’t need the space of the ody I’d try find a nice nz new accord euro with black interior and modify that instead.

ah sold already. I dont think dreamcar is a car you toss away so fast. Its a great car but not one to be owned it seems. If you dont have the extra moneh
@@KiwiCarLife Been amazing so far needs a bit more power but a tune and a couple of other small things should get it to about 300hp at the tyres fingers crossed. :)
He's driven my 350GT (6spd, 4.08 final drive, tuned, intake, exhaust etc) but for reasons I can't go into, I couldn't let Liam feature it on the channel unfortunately.
I drove a 450GT before I bought the FX50 Liam, I really liked it. A lot of car for $7 - $10k ish these days and if someone was in the market for a Commodore I'd say check the Fuga out first. But the FX50 is another level up and still loving it.
